Hotel Brienzerburli

View from my room was amazing. Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was nice and I enjoyed the restaurant attached to the hotel.

The restaurant plays music, including live music. While this is not necessary a problem, my room was located directly above the restaurant. They did stop music at about 11 PM. This was only a problem for my last night, as I needed to get up at 4 AM. I would say that there should be a warning that the room may not be the quietest. The room I had was a little small, but that was not an issue for me as I traveled alone, and only spent time in my room to sleep. However, there was a large balcony to spend time on with an amazing view.

Poor experience with dirty rooms that were not cleaned before our arrival . Spiders and dirty floors .

The rooms had not been cleaned and there were many spiders in the rooms … with established webs . We had staff come to the room to take pictures and 2 of the 7 spiders were removed the following morning .

Nice, scenic spot. Friendly staff. Clean rooms.

The beds in Room 52 across the road were not comfortable. Need better mattresses.

It is a minute walk to Lake Brienz. Not crowded. Got a feel of staying in a century old (but completely renovated to have modern amenities) chalet. Very authentic Swiss experience by the lake.

Wonderful lake view. Clean, warm and cozy rooms, nice staffs. Breakfast bread is good. Free parking is a plus

Very spacious room, quiet and tranquily vibes! Staff Noura whom attend me during my bfast, she such a very nice lady who always greet us every morning with a smile and coffee. Corny also been a very good lady in her duty as receptionist and as our driver. This hotel provide shuttle to Brienz which is really really good.

Breakfast was simple but sufficient and good value for the price. Breakfast restaurant was homely and nicely decorated. I was alone, so had a single room and it had everything I needed. Hotel restaurant across the road was convenient. Right on the edge of the lake so it was a nice location.

I wish the powerpoint was closer to the bed so I had somewhere to plug in my phone next to me. Also wish there was more than one pillow, even if it's an extra in the closet. Had to ask for another, which they supplied, but I could tell it was an inconvenience as 'housekeeping had gone home'.

The location was great.

There was no hot water. Warm water would run for about 30 seconds and then turn cold, making it impossible to shower. There was no kettle in the room. The breakfast was meager.

Okay - standard

Back to the 70ies. :-) Booked appartment with two bedrooms. Upon arrival only one bedroom was prepared and we asked to use the second bedroom as well. We were very unpolitely asked whether we "payed" for the use of the second bedroom. As it is not a cheap hotel this made us feel not welcomed. Everything else was okay.

It look really traditional Swiss architecture and right across the street from the lake.

It doesn’t have air conditioning and in warm months you will have to open the windows and hope for a good breeze during the night and that no bugs come in while you sleep, otherwise you will sleep in a warm room.

I didn’t like anything the manger of the hotel entered my room without my permission and my wife was afraid the hotel is not save

The hotel's location was excellent, with easy access and friendly staff. Additionally, the hotel was clean and had a great vibe.

Bathroom is very outdated and in bad condition. Old carpet in the room. Noise from the Church next to the hotel.

The room was super old-fashioned and lived in. Didn’t look any similar to the photos of the standard rooms with lime green walls and stained duvets…

Perhaps updating the bathroom ( the tub is a little high for my short friends) or furnitures. The constant ringing of the church bell.
