Spare bathroom

I booked here only because hotels in Interlaken were so expensive, but I was so happy I stayed here instead! My room overlooked the lake, which is absolutely gorgeous, with a door to go in and out right at the lake. I could open my window and door for the view and fresh air. The room (double) was very comfortable, I appreciated having chairs and a sofa. The bathroom was actually better than I expected from the photos, good shower pressure and hot water. Lots of room to spread out. Excellent breakfast in the mornings, I always appreciate fresh bread and multiple cups of coffee! ? Nice and helpful staff. Definitely recommend and would stay again. (Near two grocery stores.) Brienz is just a short ride to “all the sights,” but beautiful, calm, and peaceful!

For me personally, the bed was too soft, and I simply don’t understand the pillows in Switzerland. (Every hotel!) For most visitors, these pillows are useless, please provide some with different levels of head/neck support.

The bed was very comfortable.

There were at least two flies in the bedroom, which were very annoying during the night. I forgot to bring my mosquito plug-in!

It is near on all stations, lake view is incredibly beautiful. Staffs are accommodating, most likely the owner.

Bathroom are a little bit small.

This hotel is perfect for locations and a great view with a lake. By the way, the price is good for solo travel

If you come to a hotel during a busy time. You will have problems with the toilet and shower because

Room: The room was quiet and clean. It was cold when I arrived but once I turned on the heater it was nice and warm. The temperature of the water in the shower was perfect and easy to regulate. My room had a nice view of the mountains.Hotel and Restaurant personnel/owner: The kind man in the reception (don't know how to write his name) is the most gentle and helpful person you could ever imagine! As well as the owner of the restaurant. They made my stay unforgettable! From finding out for me the time of the Sunday Mass to saving my breakfast for when I came back and giving me directions every time I asked. Location: It is easy to get there from Brienz train station. There's a restaurant in the hotel and more in the area. I think it is a nice area even though you have to go to Interlaken to move around to other cities but Brienz is beautiful and the people are really kind.Breakfast: Include it in your reservation. You can have bread, cereal, fruits, cheese, chocolate, juice, and lactose free milk as an option. Loved my stay and hope to go again in the summer!

The stairs make a noise.

Breakfast fresh bread was delicious and fruit, cheese, yogurt, etc all good. We enjoyed the restaurant for dinner. Pleasant staff. Beautiful lake outside the door was wonderful. Plenty of space also.

Access to the room and restaurant a little convoluted but it was worth it for our stay.

Great location, really good rooms - we upgraded to an attached toilet room - the man at the reception - he made our stay awesome.

The restaurant and the restaurant staff - I won't call them rude, but they were indifferent and inflexible to any of the request. Breakfast is not that great - if possible go eat outside

The room is not worth the price; I would not recommend it to others.

The room facilities are basic, old, and not clean, with a musty smell. There are very few breakfast options, and even eggs are not available.

Location

The shower and WC is out of the bedroom. Also I could not get wifi connection through my bedroom and It makes my 5G run out and have to pay extra to use internet.

Convenient location

Very very basic room. No extra pillow. Noplace to plug in a charger without disconnecting the light. Noisy. Told breakfast was at 7:30...it wasn't available until 8:15

The location was very convenient to Brienz and the lakefront.

The room was very hot. There was a lot of noise from the stairwell and water. In particular, the sink in the room made loud noises when the water was in use on the floor above. It was challenging to sleep through this.

Only location is good

They don’t tell you that there are steps on which you have to take your luggage on booking. Breakfast is very limited. They don’t even have eggs. Indian couple who manage restaurant are very rude with stinky looks. Watevr little spread they have that also is very limited. Checkin was confusing and not smooth. No phone in room to contact reception. Flies were in room.

Quiet, quaint hotel with amazing location and a great owner.

Breakfast was great with many variety, room is also cozy n lovely. A great view of the lake as well :)

Just no lift thats all otherwise all is great

Only location

The reception was very tuff, he forced us to pay CHF 80 for 2 kinds below 4 years for breakfast and at the end we were shocked that the breakfast is very poor and was no options to eat, very bad experience we paid too much in this property for nothing, only view was amazing

Beautiful location

The hotel is old and dated it is in desperate need of modification/revamping, definitely not worth the cost per night.The room my family had was smelling mouldy and the room my parents had smelt of dogs.Breakfast was also very poor.

The location was exeptional, we were just in front of lake. The room was clean and part of it has a new furniture.

Old property, our room was partially renovated, however the bathroom, which is for me the most important part of a room, was old and not renovated. It’s definitely not worth the money. They have a parking space in front of the hotel, but you can’t use it, instead of that they offer you a parking card for 10 CHF/day, so you can park at public parking lot. However, if you buy a day ticket from a machine at the particular parking lot u get it cheaper, which is quite disappointing. Breakfast was very simple, no eggs (not even the boiled ones), no vegetable, only one type of pastry, basic coffee machine. The stuff at breakfast wasnt really friendly. There were a lots of meatflies. And they serve the breakfast from 8:15, so if u want to do the early morning hike its not really great. And they are not flexibile even if u ask them.

The best location ever! And the hospitality of the receptionist is at par the best. Very accommodating! The room is so spacious and lot of foof choices for breakfast with good quality ?Highly recommendable!
