Hotel Terrace

Our Room for family was very comfortable with a great view.Bar area is a great place to relax at the end of the day.

Breakfast coffee is automatic but coffee was not as great.

Parking relatively easy, rooms comfortable and clean, easy to access with elevator, good breakfast, showers available if skiing on the day of checkout.

It’s a bit on the older side as a building.

Breakfast was great, has a variety of options fresh food, hot food, coffee, juices. I liked crossaints. Excellent location near train station and bus stop.

Slow WiFi signal in the hotel room.Receptionist didn’t allow to eat in the waiting room but it was coffee available.

Location, terrace view, free parking and breakfast, they gave us a free room upgrade.

No ironing or kettle services( you have to give a deposit of 20 franc each then it will be returned once your finished), no fridge, no water bottles, the breakfast is included but it was literally same every day during all our stays. The pillows were very small, no soundproof we hear our next room guest. The next room we asked for the usual room service, when we came back we found that they did not do anything, they just put the blanket on the bed just above our clothes without removing them. And they did not change the towel which was totally different than the service we got the day before.

Our stay at the Hotel Terrace in Engelberg was enjoyable, the staff could not have been more helpful. Breakfast with both hot and cold buffet catered for all comers, my wife was provided with an amazing basket of allergy free products well beyond expectations. The rooms were a little small but adequate had a beautiful view over to Titlis and the cleaning service was excellent. The only disappointment was no restaurant on site, this was not mentioned on the Booking.com website and was most inconvenient especially when it was raining. The hotel explained that in summer they do not have a restaurant service due to lack of demand. The hotel website does give restaurant opening times for winter but does not say that there is no restaurant service in summer. This is something that should be corrected as visitors with young children or ones with a handicap may find visiting restaurants in town difficult.

A great stay with amazing potential!​We had a lovely experience at Hotel Terrace. The room was wonderfully spacious and impeccably clean, and the convenience of being so close to the Engelberg train station was a major plus, making our arrival with luggage completely stress-free.

​While the concierge was perfectly helpful, we felt the evening and night staff could be a bit more seasoned and attentive. A few small additions could also make a big difference in the room; simple amenities like a minibar fridge, complimentary water bottles, and a basic coffee and tea station with sugar would greatly enhance the guest experience.​Overall, a fantastic location with a lot to offer. With a few key updates, this hotel could truly be an elegant stay

Clean but old hotelRoom was big but with minimal facilities

I had a lovely stay at this hotel and want to give a special thank you to Mandy and Sacha for their outstanding service. The rooms have a bit of an old-style charm, but they are comfortable and serve their purpose well. The highlight of the stay was the breathtaking view from both the rooms and the restaurant—absolutely stunning! Breakfast was great, with plenty of options, but the dinner buffet was disappointing, as the food lacked flavor and wasn’t worth the price. Overall, it was a pleasant stay with exceptional service and beautiful scenery just better to explore other dining options for dinner!

The room was beautiful and the view was breathtaking. I loved the fact that we were given the opportunity to leave our bags in the luggage area after our checkout and had the possibility to shower. The shower area was very clean and they also provided clean towels in the common shower.

We didn’t like the parking area. We visited the hotel in winter and since hotel didn’t have any underground parking, our car was completely covered in snow and it was frozen. We were stuck at the parking lot for approximately 30 min.

Excellent location with amazing views of the surrounding mountains from a spacious room.

Tue lower level rooms where quite old but sufficient.

The view is amazing and the building as well. It‘s an old style Palace Hotel that has only been slightly renovated and has kept its charm. Excellent price/value.

The staircase smells bad and the carpet need to be exchanged

The stay was perfect! They had a good breakfast, the view from the room was surreal, and you could get to downtown Engleberg by foot through a tunnel directly from the hotel! The hotel is so beautiful inside and out, it is clean, good parking, and a charming staff :))

Excellent Location .. Vintage hotel .. Needs a bit more refurbishments as hotel is built in 1905. Still has that rustic feeling which is good and bad.. Huge rooms..

Needs a bit more state of the art facilities

Perfect location! Just few minutes away from the train station. The staff was friendly & helpful. The hotel was also comfortable and welcoming. The views are beautiful. Also, recommend including the breakfast option as it was good with many options of food.

The view from the balcony is outstanding. We could see the entire town and mountains. Room is spacious and the carpet is bit dated. The entrance to the hotel is an experience in itself. Enjoyed the stay. Breakfast is average, not a big drawback.

I liked that it is like the grand budapest hotel. The view of the village was great and the tunnel from the village to the hotel is very convenient.

We happened to get the room just over the Gin Bar and there was a lounge band on Saturday night and we could hear it. It was also very expensive but we chose that going in.
