Kempinski Palace Engelberg

We absolutely loved our stay at the Kempinski Palace Engelberg. It was the perfect luxurious Alpine getaway, with every detail thoughtfully considered. Our room was even more beautiful in person, and the housekeeping was the best we’ve ever experienced.Enjoying the spa every day was the perfect way to start and end our days. The location is unbeatable—steps from the train station, town center, and mountain base. Breakfast was beautiful, and the onsite restaurants were incredibly convenient.Most importantly, we want to recognize Emil, our server, who was the friendliest and most hospitable person we met in Switzerland. Employees like him are why we love traveling and experiencing new places.

The roof top spa and view were outstanding. We loved the town, the walk to the gondolas up Mt Titlis, and the breakfasts (included) were amazing.

We found better value dinner choices around town

The hotel exceeded every expectation I had, offering a level of luxury and comfort that felt almost unreal. The staff went above and beyond in every interaction, making me feel like a truly valued guest from the moment I arrived. I can honestly say this is one of the finest hotels I have ever experienced, and I would return in a heartbeat.

The only thing that was completely off was that the staff forgot to book our dinner reservation at the restaurant we requested, it was quite disappointing to arrive to find out no reservations were made and be seated at the barWhile breakfast selection was good, it took time until someone can take our order, some days we were waiting for 20min and kept calling for anyone to come and take the order, was a bit annoying

Loved the design; the staff are very sweet and helpful; Aurora at the reception was so nice and accommodating. The facilities are new and very clean, the spa area is simply amazing, and the location is incredible. I’m very happy with my stay and will definitely come back.

The food at the restaurant was served a little cold, but other than that, everything was perfect.

Expensive!

Property has stunning views from the balcony and is located in a prime spot of engelberg. Facilities at the property are top notchBreakfast spread was impressive with lot of vegetarian options.

Our room door was open when we returned to our room after an outing. This was a serious security lapse from the service team for which the hotel had no valid justification. They apologized and offered us a bottle of hand lotion as a token of apology.

Our second stay. Perfect location and facility. Wonderful spacious rooms and staff.

Only one thing did not match the very high standard of services we received . We had dinner twice at the hotel restaurant. The first night was ok. The second night was not good at all. The waiters were nice but very inefficient. We have to go and get the waiter any time we need something. We waited almost 2 hours for the main course. This time we ordered from the middle eastern menu. When the food arrived, it was not middle eastern at all. The shish taouk was more like small Japanese Yakitori. The Hummus was like the Hummus you may find at a small Falafel stand.

Breakfast was fantastic. Staff incredible. As to value, seemed a bit pricey, and we found much better value for the price we paid for this hotel, in our other stays during our 3 week trip.

Location, staff and view

Just amazing from start to finish! Great amenities, super nice and friendly staff, greaaat rooms and super nice facilities. It’s just one of the nicest stays we had in Switzerland.

I would expect the parking to be complementary for hotel guests which wasn’t the case. I understand if the visitors have to pay but as a hotel guest it should not be charged to your room.

Everything. This property was the nicest, cleanest, and most incredible hotel we have stayed at. The spa facilities, staff, and room were exceptional and exceeded all expectations. Would recommended this place to anyone.

Nothing. Our stay was exceptional.

Breakfast was amazing. The swimming pool small but beautiful setting and warm for children. Toddler loved the child care facility.

You couldn’t wear bathing suits in the sauna so didn’t go in so the spa facilities were limited.

Breakfast was very nice. Various choice from the buffet and a la cart. I loved the smoothies. The chalet is serving cheese fondue and has mountain charm. We loved the pool area, specially after 18:00 when it’s adults only till 22:00. Shuttle service to the ski lift works great.

Everything was good

It is nice and comfortable

The problem is that everyone is a bit stiff and trying too much instead of just being relaxed and make the guests feel comfortable. Sauna area very small for a five star hotel. Breakfast is rich but not always highest quality. Some things that they bring are cold, eggs not poached but hard, waffles which are made with pancake dough, etc.

Loved everything from rooms to the location to amazing view of the town and mount Titlis and such warm staff always ready to help! will come again

The overall cleanliness was excellent, The landscape and location were amazing, stuff were friendly

The area doesn’t have much variety of food however for a short stay thats not an issue overall everything was great

Beautiful building

Car parking a bit far away. No upgrade offered even though we come each year and hotel was not full. But we still love it!
