A nice modern family room. Hotel within walking distance from the Train Station.

I asked and received a family room, renovated, facing the mountains. The room is amazing - large windows, beautiful design, comfortable beds, relaxing colors. An amazingly inviting and pleasant room. One of the best I stayed-in in a hotel, definitely in the alps / ski resorts.

Breakfast was ok. There are 9 stairs from the parking to the elevator - not easy with luggage and aching knees.

The family room we stayed in is way overdue for a renovation. The carpets, bathroom, and all furniture are extremely old and need to be replaced. The mini-refrigerator was also barely functional. The electrical outlets were also in terrible locations for charging electronic devices.

Their staffs are to kind and helpful, in-fact they even waited for us to the late 11PM check-in as we are later to arrive from Zermatt. Hotel location is perfect for Titlis area and it was just adjacent to the train station (1 Min walk).I love our hotel room, at night, we open windows and it was so cool that you a pure-fresh mountain breezes as you sleep! too big with the nice view of the mountain! It was a quiet location that we didn't realize waking up at 9AM is just like early morning! Breakfast is very good, our boys love a lot of yummy bacon (they are wishing for these during our trip) since some few hotel we checked in during this trip doesn't have!I will highly recommend this hotel to my friends and hope to be back again someday!

Maybe the TV channel has no kids channel (which is maybe needed if you have kiddos).

Don't have coffee, tea and bottle water in the hotel room. Room is pretty dated.

The breakfast was definitely the biggest handicap of this hotel, the food was not at all at the level of my expectations and of the hotel stars/price.

Really close to the station and the town centre. Clean and tidy with decent sized rooms and a nice shower. Breakfast was a tasty continental one with plenty of variety. Staff were friendly, courteous and helpful. WiFi was high speed and easy to access.

we loved the homy feeling, the friendly staff, the GM is so present and supportive - and breakfast was wonderful :-) So all in all we will be back! :-)

The location.

We had booked multiple rooms, and the heating in each was not working well which was not expected especially in the wintertime. The garbage in the room was not thrown away. Staff was not very welcoming without any smile. It is a little bit disappointing.

Just two minutes walk from the station and the lively town centre; impressively refurbished ‘de luxe’ room, the photos don’t fully do it justice - comfortable seating for five or six people; excellent, well-designed bathroom. Good breakfast buffet spread in the very traditional high-ceilinged dining room (the revamp strangely hasn’t reached the ground floor yet), and two excellent dinners on the half-pension arrangement - the first at the very gemutlich Engelberg hotel down the Ian street (Schweizerhof restaurant closed on Christmas Eve).

Not surprisingly, pretty expensive at Christmas, but probably good value compared with alternatives.
