Pros +
- The location is beautiful. The facilities, including the pool and the restaurant were outstanding, and the staff were very accommodating and gracious. Soulaimane and the rest of the staff went above and beyond.
- Location. Parking. Bedroom and bathroom
- Fabulous position by the river and opposite the castle. Nice sized room.
Cons -
- The food. It was mediocre at best. We wouldn’t recommend eating dinner in the restaurant and the breakfast was not good value for money.
- The reserved parking system was a bit chaotic. The breakfast area is congested.
- There are only 2 hotels in Clisson and I fear that this is leading to duopoly (read rip off) pricing. This hotel is much more expensive than any of the far better hotels that we stayed in during our trip. One staff member was clearly very out of her depth and unable to deal with basic questions - poor training? Overall, I would do a day trip to Clisson and stay elsewhere. It is a lovely town but small and can be seen in a couple of hours.

The room was pleasant (although small for a suite). The hotel is well located.

Hotel was perfectly situated, just a short walk into the beautiful town. Secure parking is a bonus. The staff were friendly and helpful. We didn't have breakfast or dinner at the hotel so can't coment on this.
Cleanliness and location
I specifically requested a room with a bathtub not a shower as my left ear was prone to infection. There were only four rooms with a bathtub but they had been all taken up. Also, the wash basin was placed very high and although I am of an average height of 157 cm it was extremely hard to wash my face in the basin. Washing my face using the shower was out of question because of my ear problem. Furthermore, there was no room to put our clothes away: only hangers. We are very familiar with the area where the hotel is situated as we had a house nearby, and the location is beautiful. However, the hotel has to do better to guide drivers how to get to the hotel once in Clisson. We left a bottle of champagne for the room cleaning staff as they were the people who were working hard.
Room, location, perfectly functioning A/C, proper tea!
Lovely hotel, great rooms, delicious restaurant food and very nice staff. Clisson is just gorgeous and we always wish we were staying longer but twice it’s been one night as part of a road trip through France. Next time two nights and definitely back to this hotel which is in the perfect location to explore this magical town.
Nothing not to like!
Staff were very pleasant, room immaculately presented and hotel in great location.
Nothing to mention
Well located in the town.
Parking is minimal and as we were late arriving I ended up having to leave our cases and park over 500m away. We also tried to eat in the hotel but they said the kitchen was closing. Their loss as Mad Pizza on the town was awesome and took 80 euros from us for a brilliant meal.
Very spacious room with view over the river and to the castle. Excellent reception staffVery cleanSuperb breakfast
We had dinner in the restaurant and it was truly dreadful. I could go into great detail if I had the time, but in summary, I can’t emphasise strongly enough that this restaurant should be avoided at all costs. There were several restaurants in very close proximity to the hotel and these simply couldn’t be worse. The restaurant staff were completely uninterested and unapologetic about the dire food, even though we sent a lot of it back.
location excellent .Got the basic room which was ok .dinner excellent staff great .Parking always hard to find it . Didn't have breakfast .But love this hotel.Always return .Clisson so beautiful
wished I upgraded room and had breakfast
Room was clean, breakfast good, Evening meals were good, but menu was limited. There are restaurants in Clisson, but as our stay was early season, we ate at the hotel. Secured parking .
Loved Clisson and loved the hotel. if you come from the UK don't be put off by the Best Western branding as we nearly did. This is a boutique hotel in the most delightful setting overlooking the castle and by the river. We were going to go out for dinner but decided to eat at the hotel and we were not disappointed. The pre arrival instructions on where and how to park were very helpful and the reception team were equally as friendly on arrival. We were traveling from Bordeaux to Roscoff for the afternoon ferry and this is the perfect stop off mid point location. What a find.
Great location, in the centre of town with easy walking distance to most things. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the restaurant was nice. Overall room was comfortable and clean. Would stay again!
Breakfast was slightly overpriced for what it was, but lovely none the less!
A professional hotel with comfortable but relatively small room. Excellent breakfast and perfect location right in the centre of town beside the river.
Dinner was OK but not as good as I thought it was going to be.
Warm welcome. Lovely location near old town and magnificent castle with a view of the river. Nearby secure parking. Restaurant very good with excellent menu. Buffet breakfast equally good. Nice terrace to relax with a drink. There was a Venetian fete going on when we arrived which added to the atmosphere.
Location is superb
There is as a Rick concert being held very very loudly in the terrace which we were not informed about. We were told there was a choice of barbecue on the terrace or half board in the dining room but we would have liked a la carts
Great location, staff and outside space.
Room small and cramped. Food of mixed quality.
This hotel is all about the location, which is fantastic- just look at the photos! We ate a very good dinner in a lively hotel restaurant. A little later in the year and dinner on the terrace would have been even better. Generously sized room (17).
Bathroom/toilet set up was a bit odd, albeit functional- a bit cramped. Breakfast seemed pricey so was skipped in favour of a stroll up to the top of town
