Hotel Cavour

Great location near station and beach. The Staff was wonderful - particularly Joviana and also Geta - who helped us find some great restaurants. The place is older but well kept. 24 hour staff at desk. The town is not very polished, but a nice authentic place.

Breakfast was a bit low end. Bathroom door could not be opened all the way, since it hit the sink. Elevator tiny.

Location is very practical, close to the train station, supermarkets and commercial area. Staff was very kind

The room is very small, highly impractical to open suitcases or even move around. There were mosquitoes in the bathroom and no way of getting rid of them. There are almost no electrical outlets in the room, which was run down. The breakfast facilities and catering, although good in quality, were not up to the volume of customers. The feeling we got was they were trying to milk the hotel's profit as much as possible while skimping on every penny. Had we planned to stay for more than one night in that location we would have probably moved to another hotel.

Excellent location, no matter the closest beach was not the best - hotel is located in the pedestrian old city zone, which is btw very beautiful! Staff was extremely helpful and kind, thank you for that!

The staff were very friendly and the breakfast choices were excellent.The room was nice, very clean and well lit. The hotel location is excellent, and only a short walk from the train and bus stations.

The shower head setup required a little TLC, but it did the job.

Location couldn’t have been better. Very central location. Room was adequate, and the shower was one of the best. Clean, quiet room with an efficient air conditioning system. Plenty of towels, etc.

The property is in the middle of the town - close to the train station and the seaside and the walking district with several shops. Portofino and the Cinque Terre can be easily reached. Cleaning service of the rooms is proper.The old furniture in the bedroom looks nice and sturdy - still timeless.The building itself is in the middle of the ring of other buildings so chances are that most rooms look on other buildings closely and inhale the warm air of ACs when windows are open.

It is an old cash cow with very outdated facilities that function at some level. Safety/comfort of the interior is questionable: bathroom door opens so close to the sink that it squeezed my finger, you can only sit sideways on the toilet because it is positioned badly, the AC is loud and does work properly (too cold or warm). Corridors are narrow and the carpets look dirty all the way, the breakfast is high carb mainly long-shelf life food and old fashioned with very limited fresh supply. On Tuesdays there is simply no room for everyone to get seated in the small dining area.The sea water quality in the town is not recommended for bathing for over 5 years - hence the private beach is almost empty.

The hotel is very dated and in need of a complete overhaul. We supposedly got an upgrade, but I couldn't figure out for the life of me what the upgrade was? You couldn't swing a cat in the room, and to sit on the toilet, you had to put your feet in the bidet. The shower leaked out of every orifice. I could go on ...

First of all the staff were all very nice and helpful. The location was good but very dated hotel.

The overall experience is that they cleaned at surface a poor maintained and old room. We had a closet which was maybe forgotten to be cleaned in weeks, and there we could also see mold and walls falling. The Breakfast was decent, but being undersatffed, only by the time that we left the room were they filling the empty trays.

All of the Workers were very nice, the rooftop terrace was a sweet surprise that I enjoyed, and breakfast was much better than I expected!! I was VERY happy that I could reserve parking close by!!!!!

Nothing in particular, it just looks a little tired and rundown a bit. Was a bit hard to find when I got to Rapallo…

The hotel is centrally located, and as we were on a motorbike the staff were fabulous at making sure we could park safely and nearby. The hotel is basic but clean. The staff were all lovely and helpful.

Only a couple of minutes walking distance from the train station. Lift to all floors. Super nice surrounding right in the middle of the old part of Rapallo, very close to the sea, the old castle, many nice shops and restaurants.Very nice staff and everything was very clean.Super nice walks along the beach and if you like to walk it is accessible to get to Santa Margerita, which has many good restaurants and better beaches, and the famous little village Portofino. There are also busses to get to these villages.

The rooms have a bit thin walls, I could hear the neighbours conversations.The jaccuzzi was cold, I would love to get into it if it was heated.
