    Pros +

    • Staff and location were great. Hotel was super relaxing and was in a great location close enough to walk to Praiano or take a cab to Amalfi or Positano, while also having beach access right next door.
    • Amazing location! Being next to a small marina made it easy to get to Positano and Amalfi. The morning breakfast was fabulous and we had dinner here 1 night…delicious! Staff so sweet and accommodating. Very comfortable beds and quiet room. Our favorite hotel of the trip!
    • This is our favorite place on the universe. The Amalfi Coast has way too many tourists and Onda Verde is paradise with views you will never see again! Seriously, forget about Positano and Sorrento...if you need to go, take a water taxi. Again, our favorite paradiso!!!!

    Cons -

    • Room was a little dated, but likely part of the Amalfi coast experience.
    • More American tourists than our last stay, but, we are American LOL...difference is I speak fluent Italian and we prefer that experience without someone loudly ordering eggs and bacon when the Italian buffet is gorgeous!
    • Nothing. It was perfect.

The property is beautifully situated on a cliff side overlooking the little harbor of Praiano. There’s a lovely pool, with lounges, and a bar that also serves lunch. The staff were all incredibly friendly! I love that it is family owned, and the Grandson was there to welcome me and get me checked in. They made sure to help me with everything I needed. The room was spacious, and had a beautiful view. Having just flown in from the States, I was jet lagged, which meant I was able to witness a gorgeous sunrise! I treated myself to a massage - which was fantastic! Light classical music played, with the sound of the waves below still present. Would definitely recommend a massage here!

Pics on website don’t this place justice. The rooms are immaculate and so inviting. The views are spectacular from wherever. The access to the water is so easy. The beach restaurant below is fabulous and the food / bar amazing. Can’t say enuff good things abt this hidden gem. We room water taxi to Positano and Amalfi with ease. After going to both those major spots it was always nice to get back to Praiano where it’s less busy and more scenic.

An absolutely fabulous jewel of a hotel! The rooms are beautifully furnished and very comfortable, the restaurants and other public spaces are in mint condition, and the staff are exceptionally kind and friendly. The location is superb for numerous reasons. First of all, it has direct access to the Tyrrhenian Sea where you can choose to swim from the beach or from the small dock at Marina di Praia. The hotel’s close proximity to that little harbor is also a huge advantage because you can catch water taxis and can also join tours etc to Capri etc., with great convenience. The water taxis to and from Amalfi and Positano are fast, convenient, reasonably priced and tremendous fun! Marina di Praia, is a hive of activity which is exciting to watch. It also has a couple of great little restaurants. The third advantage of this hotel’s location is how immensely relaxing it is. Unlike hotels that are in the towns, this hotel is a haven of peace. But the excitement is very close, when desired. it is a short walk to Praiano and its restaurants, and a short trip by water taxi to the bigger towns of Amalfi and Positano. The main restaurant is delicious. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were all superb. You must have the deserts, which are absolutely delicious. Thank you Hotel Onda Verde, I hope to see you again soon.

    Nothing. It was perfect.

Our suite Sofia with a balcony was absolutely amazing. gorgeous views even from the shower ?Beautiful decor, stocked mini fridge, excellent service. Parking on site was so nice to have! Hotel restaurant was excellent. Breakfast was included with plenty of great options to choose from. Really makes me sad that we dont have good breakfasts in our hotels in the US

    we loved everything!

great location, great services and staff super willing to help!

it’s a bit pricy and there are a lot of stairs, but I guess that’s part of package when in the Amalfi Coast.

Third week Oct- weather still nice! Couple, early 40s.If going to the Amalfi STAY HERE. Driving from Tuscany we knew there would be difficult driving (it was- take it slower than you think you need because other drivers there are other tourists who will cross lines around bends and VERY large buses who don't care if you're new to driving there; pro-tip- watch a video about driving in the Amalfi before deciding to drive there), but we found the worst part was the idea of not having parking. Some hotels had very difficult driveways or parking lots that were down steep hills, or were public garages. Onda Verde had a pull right in lot and valet who moved your car if needed and parking was included! As a heads-up: we parked our car until we left because there are city buses called SITA and ferries and another shuttle I can't remember the name of that are convenient-ish and we walked a ton (but the roads are not exactly pedestrian friendly as a heads-up).Breakfast was great. Buffet with lots of delicious choices.Room so clean. We had the deluxe double with Terrace and Sea View and it was perfect size, with a safe and a great water pressure. The view. My glorious goodness. I am a world traveler, have stayed in places on the edge of the caldera in Santorini, in the mountains and in rainforests, and this was hands-down up there with the best. It's private and quiet with a horizon of bright blue water and marvelous mountains at sunrise.Pool was open Oct 22nd and wasn't heated but a great swim.We took an arranged tour to Capri from hotel planned, was great. We also wandered up to the "center" of Praiano (not a true center) for dinner to a place called Il Pino and the older gentleman (whom I believe is the owner) was incredible and sang loudly and at one point the whole restaurant joined impromptu. Another great spot, Saghir, is a phenomenal wine bar with delicious food. A short cab ride to both.

We went for our honeymoon and there was no acknowledgment of same. This is not a MUST it just would have been nice. I think at the end of the busy season they were customer-ed out. One of the female desk attendants was very brusque; just needs a little less bluntness maybe. All of the others were great!

    View is fantastic

The hotel does not have the comfort of a 4-star, but rather feels like a 3-star! The rooms are small and lack basic comforts – there isn’t even a coffee machine. The bathrooms are cramped and uncomfortable. The worst part was when we requested to cancel one night of our 6-day stay, as we had to leave early. The hotel refused, which was disappointing. This lack of flexibility led us to stop spending any extra money on their services, including dining.Additionally, the small plastic bottles of water provided in the rooms were charged at €3.50 each, which further highlights the petty, money-driven approach of this hotel. Here, it seems money matters more than customer service! We will not be returning, and we do not recommend this hotel due to its poor value for money. The prices are far from what you’d expect for a 4-star experience!

The Onde Verde has an enviable location on the cliff, with access to a small cove and about five restaurants in walking distance. We enjoyed the large bathtub and jets. The balcony off our room had a beautiful view at sunrise and sunset. The unique architecture was fun since it was built into the mountain and the hallway felt like you were inside a cave. We felt close to nature being right against the cliff and it didn't matter to us that we weren't within walking distance of Praiano at night or in the morning. We liked that we could walk up the mountain via stairs to find the "Path of the Gods" - ask the front desk for the map.

There were two things that bothered us that may not impact others. The restaurant at the hotel served a wonderful breakfast but the music needs to be adjusted. Every morning, they played English music that was a version of 70s/80s classic singer-song writer tunes, but they were turned into "elevator music" versions. Terrible. At night it was find when they actually played Italian music. The pool was not heated and I was really looking forward to swimming in the pool as well as the Mediterranean Sea. We were there Sept. 24 to 29 and the water in the pool was freezing.

Romantic and relax hotel with an amazing view, great breakfast and delicious dinner

The breakfast was amazing with a great selection. The pastries were delicious. The setting was perfect, relaxing and peaceful. The restaurant was first class and all the hotel staff very friendly and helpful. I would definitely revisit and highly recommend. A private taxi to Positano with Alfredo is a must ?

    Staff was friendly.

Honestly the pictures are way better than the reality. We had the room with the terrace, room size was so tiny - Food in the restaurant franchino was average, we expected more.

Hotel is nice if not a bit tired. Beautiful views.

Staff are variable, some were lovely others not so. Loud music played from local beach bar underneath hotel at night. Busy beach and pick up/ drop off pontoon nearby. Dangerous roads/ traffic - do not drive, get transfer or public transport if necessary.
