We loved our stay in Smeraldo and are SO glad we booked this hotel. It is in Praiano, which in our opinion is far superior to Positano. Not only do you get the full sunset views but you get the view of Positano without the crowds.Compared to a lot of other Praiano hotels, Smeraldo is very accessible by street level. It has a great swimming hole below, as long as you are OK to walk the 483 stairs.The restaurant was great and lovely breakfast each morning. We were very happy with our stay.

The shower leaked water, the seal needs repairing is all. No other complaints we were very happy.

Beautiful view, gorgeous room.Family was very nice and accommodating. Food (especially pizza) was outstanding. Restaurant manager was informative about the area and giving suggestions.

Bar and restaurant prices overpriced, however you pay for convenience.

The views are incredible! The breakfast & dinner balcony face Positano which is perfect if you want to see Positano but not be in it. There is lovely blue and white tile everywhere and it’s nicely and simply decorated. Bathrooms are very clean. Our balcony had a nice bistro set for enjoying cappuccino. Breakfast is very nice with eggs, pasteries, meats and cheeses. The hotel is family owned and everyone is there. It makes customer service really easy. Also just down the cliff side (a ton of steps through cute walkways) is a beach club and small swimming area.

We loved this property!! The complete set up is Wonderful. Location in the Middle of Amalfi Coast. The Lobby’s front Door is at Street Level. They have a Lift and also 3 Floors The pictures say it all about the View. The Landlord and Staff treat you like family. The Terrace was our place to Eat Breakfast which was lovely. They also A Restaurant for Dinner we ate there 3 out of 4 nights. Pizza oven. Just Great. The Room had a huge Covered Balcony. Room was also High Ceilings. And full Bathroom. This place is a Hidden Gem. If you can get a Room do it.

Photos are accurate, but it's even more beautiful in person. Super clean. Best view in our opinion. Food selection was excellent, especially the pizza. Giorgio made this family experience memorable and was very accommodating.

Beautifully appointed rooms, we had a sea view with a nice size balcony with table and chairs. Location was the best and the staff were so welcoming and friendly and very hospitable! Loved everything about this family run hotel! Awesome breakfast and a lovely boutique with original pieces designed by their son.

The property was beautiful and very clean. It was in a great area with many things in walking distance and the staff was very nice and helpful!

I super loved this hotel, and honestly staying here in this hotel in praiano is better than staying in positano, because this way you have the view of calm sea + positano. + staff are super lovely and helpful. They helped us rent a scooter and book some taxis.

The location was superb - situated between Positano and Amalfi without the crowds - and the staff were very helpful with coordinating transfers and connecting us with local restaurants, attractions, and resources.

Our dinner was incredibly delicious but probably a little pricey…be sure to confirm your order and the cost.

The view and the rooms were very nice.

The breakfast which was included didn’t match the standard of the hotel. They don’t replenish items that run out so get to breakfast early and we paid an extra 12 euro for fried eggs which was too much!

Our room and views from the balcony were spectacular!The family and staff were fantastic and very helpful. We really enjoyed our stay there, easy day trips to Positano, Amalfi, Ravello, and we enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere of Praiano and Hotel Smeraldo! Highly recommend staying at Hotel Smeraldo!

Facilities were good.. very clean room except for poor customer service

Our stay could have been perfect til our last day during breakfast when their staff/waiter Giorgio was so rude to us…everything seems to be a problem including where we were supposed to sit, the coffee we ordered and a whole lot more.. Customer service should be on top of their priority list…

The staff were very friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable of the area. Gave good tips and advice of where to go. Food was lovely both breakfast and dinner. Room had the best view ever. Very relaxed feel which is down to the quality of the hotel. Would definately love to go back. Would highly recommend

Theres wasn't a single thing I didn't like.

The view from the room and the restaurant are unmatched. It is so beautiful to watch the sunsetting over Positano every night from the hotel. Staff were amazing and extremely informative, very helpful and very kind. Location is perfect, not even 5minutes to the main bus stop that takes you between all the towns on the almafi coast and some beautiful restaraunts in walking distance including the food at the restaraunt at Smeraldo. The breakfast is so so good and the staff at the restaraunt are the best too. Couldn't rate this any higher, stay here!!

This place was amazing. They went above and beyond for us the entire stay. So helpful with recommendations or any minor things we needed. The view was incredible as well as the large thoughtful breakfast. I couldn’t recommend this place enough and we will absolutely be back!
