Hotel La Conchiglia

Best location for relaxing at the beach. Right on the beach with 2 excellent small restaurants right outside the hotel. The family that runs the hotel is so nice and helpful. The cook to order breakfast that is included was fantastic.

Excellent experience. Breakfast was truly delicious. Only place we got fresh omelette and freshly baked croissant. Very convenient location between Positano and Amalfi Town.

Incredible place!!! The room was clean and perfect with the nice view of the sea. Breakfast has some nice options and you can order coffee and eggs ? We had a really smooth check-in and check-out process and were able to park next to the hotel bar.Had the most relaxing stay here and luckily had the whole cove and beach to ourselves during this time.100/10 highly recommend and would go back here again for sure!

Pina made our stay so personal. She was a one woman act. She cooked us breakfast, made up the rooms and cooked us dinner at her restaurant. She is a fabulous person so kind.

Quaint and clean, mere steps from the beach! The staff were always smiling and very attentive. Fresh cooked eggs to order with great coffee in the morning topped off an excellent stay!

It is nestled in a small cove - the view is breathtaking. However, staff is even better than the view!!!! Absolutely incredible - top notch! We could not believe it - we had left a piece of luggage on the SITA Bus - staff spent her entire night trying to get ahold of it after hours - she drove all the way to the bus station and met the bus after last run - she returned the luggage to us around midnight- above and WAY beyond!!! Incredible!!!!! Then the lady who makes breakfast also has a heart of gold and makes the best eggs I have ever had!

It was perfect!

The Amalfi Coast was magnificent and Hotel la Conchiglia was very well located without being overcrowded.

The bus trip from Sorrento

Excellent location with plenty of transport options. After visiting all the nearby beaches, we found this hotel’s beach to be the cleanest. The breakfast was good, and the staff were very accommodating. Highly recommended!

The walls aren’t very soundproof, so if other travelers are loud, you might hear them. Also, avoid the room near the stairs, as you’ll likely hear people going up and down and the nearby door opening and closing.

We loved the simplicity of the area , the hotel decorations are beautiful and modern but still have that old italian charm. We spoke to numerous people and they all wished they stayed at our hotel because is right in front of water so no steps to go to some great restaurants . You have to go to Le grotto del Africana (former africana nightclub which is now a wonderful out of this world restaurant at the end of the path after you pass il pirata 10/10 the food and views are so incredible I cried). Now on to La Conchiglia, it is a family own hotel with great service . They helped us booked a taxi and excursion with no problem. The breakfast eggs are the best I ever had so tasty . We loved the breakfast was from 730 to 11am if you wake up late you wont miss it. The cappucinos and the croissants I will dream about. The beach right in front which beware beach chairs have a cost everywhere in Italy but we used the hotel given bag and towels . It is a rocky beach so not comfortable to lay on for long time but gorgeous. The cleaning daily of the rooms was also great. We had very good water pressure ! and awesome very large room and bathroom. They also have restaurants right in front of hotel (make reservations for tratoria d armandino but dont miss Africana restaurant).We also had great pizza at maressa in praiano town .We had a small issue where the balcony door was not closing problem and the hotel team could not had been better , they quickly hired someone to fix it and were very accomodating. It was a wonderful hotel only ten minutes by boat to Positano . I rather stay in Praiano before extra busy and steps galore Positano or Amalfi. We did a tour with La phlagia charter which was great. We will be back next year to this extra romantixlc and wonderful Praiano Hotel

There was nothing not to like. The ants outside of the hotel are everywhere in Praiano.

Location amazing. Hotel staff was super friendly and helpful throughout the week coordinating water taxis and other boating trips. Breakfast very good and they offer to make you eggs any style. new towels every day.

Great location directly on the water in laid back Praiano. Great staff (pic of three generations who run hotel and restaurant below) great breakfast, great location. Multiple restaurants directly adjacent to hotel. Water taxi and boat rental also available in the cove. Oh yeah, had a view of the sea from our room balcony!

Pillows could be softer, but that's it!

Private cove that was quiet and beautiful staff was welcoming and efficient and room was clean and comfortable. Excellent breakfast as well

A little far from the center of praino as walking there would take you in a narrow windy road with no sidewalks.

This hotel offers an unforgettable stay with its breathtaking views and delicious breakfast. The cosy bedrooms provide the perfect retreat after a day of exploration—just a few steps from the beach, with incredible views and amazing service. Also, there are a few restaurants around to have a nice dinner and proper Italian food. Highly recommended for any traveller!

While this isn't related to the hotel itself, I found the location to be a bit inconvenient since Praiano doesn't have a ferry service. Having previously stayed in Maiori, I was accustomed to the ease of ferry transport. However, there are buses and vans available for getting around. Unfortunately, as someone who is afraid of heights, my experience with those options was not very pleasant. But if you are okay with it, I don't see any problem. The place itself is incredibly beautiful.

This hotel went beyond our expectations and it deserves three stars, not two. Everything was great, the staff was friendly and helpful, the room was really well appointed with taste in every little detail from the furniture to providing beach towels and shampoo, solid soap and hair conditioner. We had a balcony which overlooked the nice bay with fishermen's boats and a little church. Waking up hearing the sound of the sea waves was just priceless. The breakfast was also very, very good, with handmade cakes, eggs cooked as you want them, fresh tomatoes and fruits, and cheese, in addition to the usual cereals, fruit juices, yogurts etc.We arrived by bus from Amalfi, the SITA bus leaves you just on the road overlooking the bay, so the hotel was easy to find. We loved walking from there to Praiano and there's a good choice locally with four fish restaurants all at 1 or 2 minutes walk distance, by the beach, for all pockets (including a Gambero Rosso 2025 restaurant). We used this place also as a base to walk along the Path of Gods from Praiano to Positano. If you are up for a 3.5-4 hour walk that requires lots of steps then go for it, the views are breathtaking. Overall Praiano is much quieter than Amalfi or Positano, but also very pretty with all the ceramic art scattered around the village (something to be seen!), and if we go back to the Amalfi Coast we will want to stay at La Conchiglia hotel again as it is in between both famous towns but offers a much more authentic experience of life by the sea.

Amalfi was very packed with people. If you want a small hotel with personal service, this is it! Set off from the ocean a bit, still had a great view. Great staff! Restaurant Il Pirata is a very short walk along an ocean walk way. The hotel sits in a little cove which is also a stop off for vista view photos! I will stay there again if I come back!

Transportation. Unfortunately, I think all of the area is a mess. Roads are packed and buses don’t follow the schedules. This is an área problem though, and not a hotel issue.

Loved the breakfast out in the sun, the very short walk to the sea for a swim, the beautiful room, the friendly and very helpful staff, the walks up into to the tiny streets of Praiano, the view from their cafe/restaurant on the other side of the tiny bay and just generally being in such a fantastic location - with none of the unbearable Amalfi and Positano crowds. And do yourselves a favour - use the water taxi. Costs more but it's worth it for the views.

Tea making facilities in the room would be good - but it doesn't seem to be a thing in southern Italy!
