- Staff was very helpful. Food was fantastic.
- This hotel is amazingly first class all the way! We loved stoping here in between the hustle and bustle of FLORENCE & VENICE. The views are unbelievable and we really enjoyed staying so close to the castle/cathedral! The little shops are great!
- location is nice
Cons -
- Room a little small, but the balcony was huge.
- Absolutely nothing!
- This is definitely not a five star hotel! This is a scam. It struggles to be a 4 star.hotel at twice the price I often question the Booking.com rating system . It is extremely overpriced. The rooms and bathrooms and vanity are small. The food in the restaurant was not fresh. There were few guests dining there. The wine was not fresh . I felt ill after eating. The outside street restaurants are so much better.

The location was stunning. We had an amazing top floor room with 2 balconies. Incredible views. We also appreciated the welcome gift and bottle of prosecco. The staff were very nice and professional.
Some parts of hotel were dated. Would be nice to switch up the breakfast options as we were there for 5 nights. Also, I’m not sure I would recommend the Possa wine tour. It wasn’t very professional and seemed thrown together.
Outstanding hotel. Great location, walking distance to everything. The hotel is well appointed and updated. The staff are incredible friendly (all of them, without exception). Food and drink also exceptional. Well done!
Nothing!
Breakfast was great. Location and views were spectacular and staff was very courteous and attentive
Location amazing. Quietly upscale property without being “over the top”. Very comfortable. Staff very helpful
Wonderful, friendly staff, great location and views.
This is such a lovely property. The staff is exceptional- to a person, each staff member was friendly, helpful and welcoming. Rooms aren’t huge but enough room and comfortable. Modern and updated. Restaurant was great. Venus Bar/Palmaria patio has an incredible view. Gym is on smaller side but we were able to get a workout in. I don’t know why this town gets overshadowed by Cinque Terre towns and other coastal resorts. It is so beautiful.
Views location and staff are excellent
The charm. Fabulous staff, views to die for, fabulous location.
Cannot find fault…. Note it’s not “luxury” but I swap that for charm any day.
Managers were very helpful in extending accommodations when we we couldn’t take the train to Cinque Terre because of the strikes
The location is perfect for visiting the town. The staff was truly extraordinary - warm, friendly and attentive. Nice food in the restaurant as well. Lovely little bar with good service.
The hotel is already very expensive and they charge 24 euros per day for parking too. But you need the parking in such a small town!
Comfortable bed, great staff, excellent breakfast, nice view
Small room, not much storage space
Excellent hotel in a great location with amazing staff who were helpful and professional.
No recycling facilities in the rooms.
The location of the hotel was great overlooking Portovenere and just 2 minutes walk into the centre. The staff were really friendly and the food in the restaurant was great, as was the bar area.
We had a junior suite and although the views were stunning and the balcony was great, the size of the room and the furnishings didn't warrant the price. It didn't feel like a 5 star hotel, but we had stayed in the Splendido al Mare in Portofino a few days earlier which was also 5 star and that felt far superior.
Service, location, breakfast.
No pool, expensive drinks.
The location was wonderful. We came in April which was a little chilly and the area just started to open up after the winter. There wasn’t a lot of people, which I appreciated. We rented a Vespa and drove to the cinque terre villages. This was a great way to get around. The closest train is in La Spezia (20 min away). The breakfast at the hotel was wonderful. The staff were superb. We would definitely come back here.

The staff are amazing and truly made our stay special!Fantastic breakfast, with an incredible view of the harbor and castle. The bar is ideal for a drink before or after dinner, and the restaurant is great too.
