URH - Hotel Molí del Mig

Facilities were excellent.Restaurant food very nice.Excellent location but you do need transport.

The reception staff where occasionally inattentive if they were doing something else.

Gem of a hotel in a lovely small town just inland from Estartit. I was pleasantly suprised upon arrival at what a high end hotel it was, with full spa services (reservations required) - sauna, hamman beautiful pool area. Restaurant served delicious food - ambiance was not special, but it was comfortable and servers were friendly and efficient. The hotel is set amidst farms so it is a great place to be outdoors and walk and bicycle. Easy parking, good Wifi, and lovely outdoor areas to just sit and read a book or look at the surrounding mountains. They have bicycle rentals, and a calm area (september timeframe) to walk and explore. I suggest the hike up to Castell de Montgri if you are fit and don't mind a steep climb with quite some rocky outcrops. 360 degree panaromic views and it is about 4 mins from the hotel.

It is an open plan bathroom so sink is part of the main room with only a half wall. The WC does have a separate door, so that was positive.

Passable

The room had a very bad smell coming from the sink and the staff said it was something that often happened and there was nothing they could do. That’s simply not a good enough explanation for something that happens more than once.

I came late in the evening and was welcomed by the friendly receptionist. The next day food and the facilities exceeded my expectations. I had few requests during my stay and Rafael helped me resolve all issues. Will definitely come back!

Problems with wifi and aircon

The staff is incredible. They made sure we had an office to work from and helped us throughout a medical emergency.

The hotel is in a good location in the countryside. It was very peaceful whilst we were there, a perfect place to relax. Lovely swimming pool. Lots of interesting places to visit not too far away. The catering and cleaning staff were very nice, helpful and friendly.

A few of the reception staff were a bit stern and the rest friendly and helpful.Too many dogs allowed

Location is perfectly quiet with nice surroundings! Very good breakfast with fresh products, nice swimming pool area although we havent used it because of weather.Professional staff. - Very good value :)

Very good hotel to go and relax for a few days. clean, comfortable rooms and a very spacious pool & garden area. The restaurant for lunch is also very good.

Nice rooms, good a/c and wifi, and great property. The grounds of the hotel are very nice in general.

You definitely need a car to get around the region, and there were other hotels in the vicinity that were more reasonably priced.

This hotel exceeded all expectations. The beds were comfortable, quiet, clean, nice breakfast, the spa is wonderful ,the setting is exquisite and the staff attentive and welcoming.. It a big plus to be so close to the beach.

That we didn't stay longer.

We have been walking the cami de ronda, booking accomadation as we went. All i can say was the Hotel Moli del Mig was like an oasis in the desert. After a long days hike we arrived along a dusty track to find the hotel. It was amazing, this mill conversion has been done with no expense spared. Beautiful grounds, top quality fittings and furnishings. The bedroom had top quality bedding and towels,the walk in shower was brilliant. The food as with everting else was very good. On top of this the staff were extreamly helpful and friendly. I only wish that we could have stayed longer.

Nothing all was great

Nice location within a natural parc, close to the beach (also nudist), beautiful building, excellent work by the architect, superbe renovation/construction, eye for detail totally integrated in the landscape. Nice pool, very good restaurant, tasty breakfast with good coffee, large and comfortable room with balcony, large parking.

You would expect mattresses and beds of a higher quality for a 5*hotel; no coffee/tea facilities in the room was a bit of a disappointment. Although Staff is very efficient they lack a bit of warmth in their exchanges with guests.
