    Pros +

    • The location was perfect and set in a beautiful town. The staff was nice and helpful, I accidentally left a piece of clothing and they were super kind to store it for me. The grounds were nice and peaceful and the interiors were beautifully curated.
    • A truly fantastic building with character, charm and more than a thousand years of history. A large swimming pool; private, free parking; a big restaurant; and well-kept and generous gardens just adds to the appeal. The high ceilings and dark-wood furniture in the bedrooms may not be to everyone's taste, but with fresh, modern bathrooms, we think the combination works well. The staff are helpful, charming and discreet - really lovely people. What's not to like!
    • Incredible location 1385 building well refurbished , stunning , good breakfast , helpful reception. Restaurant and parking all on sight.

    Cons -

    • Our room decor felt dated and didn’t match the vibe of the rest of the hotel.
    • We had no complaints and would definitely come again.
    • The blankets are too thin … would be lovely having a thick duvet

Nicest stay so far in Spain, it's another experience to stay at this place. The room is nice and well isolated. We didn't hear anything during our stay. The room was clean and so was the bathroom. Highly recommended, no doubt about it Late check out was also nice

    Nothing, everything was great.

The hotel is an elegantly restored property close to the centre of Torroella de Montgrí, within walking distance of the town’s amenities. The hallways and bedrooms reflect the history of the building. Off-street parking available.

Nothing not to like about the property.

Lovely old building in a good location. Huge room.

No lift and some of the facilities a bit tired. We had a tree outside our room full of starlings which was really loud - not their fault but disturbing non the less!

Most incredible hotel as it was once a chateau. Beautifully restored truly an experience we would recommend. If you are in the area, don't miss it. The restaurant is a reputable restaurant in this area as well.

    Nothing, it was perfect

This was our favorite place to stay on our whole trip. The palace is amazing and beautifully kept and decorated. The staff is very nice. The restaurant was delicious and a beautiful spot. The location is great. Couldn’t be better!

Elegant old building, tastefully converted to hotel accommodation. We took advantage of the swimming pool and high quality on sight restaurant.

    Nothing to fault.

Lovely setting. Interesting building. Plenty of character

The main thing about this hotel is the lack of a lift. For that reason only we would not stay there again. 100 metres from car park to hotel, then 50 steps up to your room with luggage is a work out, not a holiday.. That fact should be on the hotel’s details.

Interesting old castle with antiques furniture. Good swimming pool and breakfast including cooked breakfast options. Well located.

    Air conditioning noisy

Great location, lovely building, good staff, beautiful garden and pool area.

Meal at the restaurant wasn't good value. One dish of tuna was 5 small pieces and a bed of creamy mash which was very small amount. Not good. When we arrived the water wasn't hot and didn't get fixed for a while, just unfortunate as we had been walking all day and was looking forward to a hot shower. Not the fault if hotel

Incredible historic palace with antique furnishings.Really amazing and very comfortable with multiple hang out areas and beautiful garden and pool.

Our room was amazing. Quite big, with a supremely comfy bed, lovely quality bed linen and pillows. Bathroom equally large, double hand basins and great bath and shower with plenty of hot water,Breakfast was ok. Limited choices but overall satisfying.

staff reaction on arrival for breakfast wasn't great! No 'good morning' and had to be sought out to order hot food!Stairs are a problem for anyone with a difficulty in going up! No elevator as building very old and probably not suitable.

Like staying in a castle. Spacious room & bathroom. Very comfortable bed. Good array of tea & coffee in the room. Fridge provided. Nice view over the town. Tasty breakfast. Proper key for the room, instead of these new card entry things, which really don't feel secure

Coffee machine in the breakfast room was one of those pod loading things, which are noisy & slow, & the coffee is not great. Would be better to have a filter coffee maker or cafetiere.

    Beautiful building

    Bed very hardRoom quite cold

    6HughPosted on: 11-26-2023

went out of season so it was nice and quiet and the communal parts of the hotel are stunning. The suite of rooms we were in was huge in size and that was nice too. The dinner was excellent !!

the room was just so dated (bathroom looked like it had been done in the 1960's) and impractically furnished with ridiculous little tables but no comfortable place to sit ... Breakfast really poor

Nice building, really. Best location in town probably. Good value for Money

A bit nitpicky: The tomatos at breakfast tasted weird and were freezing cold.

    7AnnePosted on: 10-13-2023

Nice hotel in a good location.

Food in the restaurant was not as good as it used to be.

Very nice little Hotel in an ancient ambient. Only eleven room, you are lucky if you get one! This Hotel has everything, nice interior, authentic feeling, good restaurant, nice pool, Tesla destination charger. Very clean, and all the people care about the whole area.

    Nothing!
