The view was lovely, and it was only a few minutes on foot down to the restaurants on the sea front.

Driving up the lane to the hotel was a memorable experience.

Just a nice place. Nice lady running the place. Very nice. Ribadesella is cool.... We visited about 24 years ago in our van... unsurprisingly Quite a lot has changed.... No more big fishing boats and it's possibly been gentrified a tad but hey.... That's progress I suppose.

The B&H flavoured incense rushing through the whole building everyday was a bit much at times .

The location is just a solid set of steps above downtown. There's a nice view of the harbor. We fit into the room, though it was a bit tight.

Older building that smelled of cigarettes. The proprietor wasn't enthusiastic about her job, though she was friendly. Parking was well away from the hotel and hard-to-find. Google maps pretty much collapsed until we left the car and walked.

Maria Jesus! She’s the receptionist, cleaning staff, cooking staff, and friendly person to ask for recommendations.

There’s a plumbing issue that needs to be dealt with- you see leaking on the ceiling of the front entrance…

Stunning location, simple clean room, loved it. Would have been 10/10 if not for ->

I don't understand why there are no-smoking signs but then the staff smokes in the lobby area. I had to walk through thick cigarette smoke to enter my room at night and as I was located above the entrance, the smoke also came into my room - that was very inconvenient.

Excellent location, near all facilities and several very good restaurants. Rooms are clean and functional, and service unobtrusive.

The shower was a bit small, but otherwise, no complaints.

    Treacherous Parking Situation!!

Do NOT park a car at the hotel. Driving to the hotel is treacherous!! You literally drive on the walking path to the fort. The path (road) is very narrow and there is no room for mistakes. We were able to make an 8-point turn in the very small parking lot so that we did not have to back up the steep driveway. If you don't turn around, you will have to back up the driveway and all the way down the hill (about 1/3 of a km) as there is no place to turn around on the path!! Nowhere in the description did I see how challenging it would be to take a car up to the hotel. Would NEVER have driven up there had I known. It would be a pain, but if you can find a parking space at the bottom of the hill, would recommend leaving your car there (near all the restaurants) and taking your luggage up the many steps to the hotel. The address of the hotel is incorrect on Booking.com (have contacted CS about this). This caused an additional hour or so of us driving back and forth across the main bridge trying to find the hotel. The lady at the front desk does not speak English, further complicating the situation. The correct address is: Address: C. del Corbero Guía, 11, 33560 Ribadesella, AsturiasAdditional negatives:WIFI did not reach our room, sucking our additionally purchased cellular data.Only one glass in our room and the lady at the front desk seemed reluctant to give us another one.Smelled cigarette smoke even though there are signs saying "no smoking". The front desk lady lives on site, so it may have been coming from her residence?Positives:The view is stunning. The beds were comfortable. The place was clean.

Lovely property and clean room/ bathroom with lovely view.

We were on the camino and checked in at 16:30, we needed to rest after a 28km walk. We went for a rest and a staff member woke us rudely banging on the door as he needed a baby cot that was incorrectly placed in our room. This really upset us as we were exhausted. Maybe just a once of incident but it is important for hotels to consider their residents and the possibility that they may be resting after a lengthy journey. Other than that the hotel was nice.

    8RobinPosted on: 7-4-2024

    Clean and comfortable.

The hotel is perched above town, which is beautiful and also a trek up a stone stairway. It isn’t overly taxing, but after a long day on the Camino, the extra steps up and back into town for a meal were tiring. Still, would recommend for a night’s stay.

    8MichaelPosted on: 6-27-2024

It has a great view of the city and the room was fine. If you’re walking the Camino, don’t enter the city on the Camino; use Google Maps for a gradual ascent to avoid the 90 steps.

They allow dogs and the whole place smelled like urine when I got there. When I came out of my room in the morning the whole place smelled like smoke even though it isn’t allowed.

The staff was very friendly, the hotel was clean and comfortable. For the price we expected less honestly, it was calm and we had an excellent stay!

    Good

there was a ban on smoking in the accommodation, but the STAFF smoked, the entire hotel corridor smelled of cigarettes

Location. Cleanliness. Staff very nice and helpful

It was all good. I suppose if mobility an issue is a bit of a climb. But both steps and ramp options to get to accommodation.
