    Pros +

    • historical with a lot of charm
    • The continental breakfast was fantastic and so many options - fresh fruit, breads, cheeses, yogurts , etc. We had a seaside view that could not have been more beautiful. There is no air conditioning in the region hotels, but the staff delivered a large fan to our room to circulate the air. Staff at the hotel was so helpful and pleasant.
    • Great location on the beach boardwalk. Nice little bar to sit at while watching the sunset

    Cons -

    • Nothing really; better than anticipated
    • No food available until 8pm which is too late for me.
    • The bed itself was squeaky.

Nice spot on the beach. Paid the ocean view with balcony and well worth it. Very friendly and helpful staff. Definitely the perfect spot to stay in this lovely town. Downtown is a pleasant walk. We booked a second night soon after arrival.

    Nothing really; better than anticipated

On beach, short walk to rejoin Camino Norte. Superior views, great room.

No food available until 8pm which is too late for me.

The staff was wonderful and so very helpful. The mention of spa openings that afternoon when checking in was nice. I booked a marvelous massage. The room was large and beautiful. It had a great view of the pool, mountain and river beach. The bathtub was a bonus. The pillows and sheets were so comfortable and cozy. Such a delightful breakfast with so many choices.

    The bed itself was squeaky.

Location by the beach and the charm of the old part of the hotel. Friendly staff

Beautiful beach a few steps away. Helpful staff. Great breakfast spread.

Beautiful hotel on a beautiful beach, beautiful pool, beautiful facilities.

Elevator was slow and clunky, particularly a problem with luggage. Parking onsite was difficult -- access card never worked, so we had to call the front desk every entrance/exit. Our suite was spacious with a great view but was somewhat overpriced. Not a great bathroom or second bed.

View from breakfast room is fabulous

Booking.com may have provided inaccurate information about the room booking we made - indicated seaview - which we did not have - otherwise we were delighted with our stay

Beautiful location along the beach. The staff were all extremely professional and pleasant. Very convenient if you are walking the Camino. Beautiful swimming pool.

Silken recently bought the property and is planning an upgrade for this coming winter. Once that is done, I am certain that the property will merit a higher rating. They need to spiff up some of the common areas as well as making sure the fine dining option is available to more of their guests. It also would be helpful if they installed air conditioning units in the rooms if it is to truly be a four star resort.

    Locatiin perfect. Breakfast was excellent.

Creaky bed only fault. The room was spotless and everythig was provided in the bathroom including toothbrush.

Staying oceanfront in Rebadesella cannot be beat! The location of the Silkin with its meaningful history is a rich experience. Walking & watching the sea throughout the day...along with the river & the mountains provides a surreal postcard experience. The restaurant, altho pricey, was wonderful :-)

A BIG negative for us was no coffee maker of any sort in the room. Also would be nice to have a 'shelf' of some sort beneath the sink to store personal toiletries.Making the swimming pool operable would add a lot to the experience...it was painful seeing it cordoned off...

Staff were charming and very helpful.

Room was noisy. Could hear tv and people talking very clearly through walls

We stumbled upon Ribadesella quite by chance, on our drive from Santiago de Compostela to Bilbao, simply looking for a hotel near the beach. What an incredible surprise it was to discover this wonderful hotel perfectly situated right on the beach, nestled within a beautiful, enchanting mini-gulf. The food was great, and the views were equally stunning."

    Everything was perfect

    Good location. Bed comfortable. Balcony

No a/c, smelled smoke, different prices for breakfast told by different staff. Dining manager seemed snooty.

    10TaraPosted on: 5-16-2025

Great, helpful staff with a beautiful view and nice rooms! The restaurant was good too.

    9SimsPosted on: 5-14-2025

We listened to the waves coming on shore from our patio. Excellent elaborate breakfast, nice linens, eloquent building and grounds, professional staff.

Beautiful hotel. Very nice room. Great location right on the beach.

No hot water the morning we left.

    10KatherinePosted on: 5-7-2025

Our experience was fabulous! The room was extremely clean, had beautiful views out and had a balcony. Great sheets, pillows, nice shower, & had the thickest towels. Breakfast was an extensive buffet with lots of cut fruit, pastries, eggs, and everything else (lattes, tea, tostada con tomate, etc). In the evening we thought we'd have to go into town for dinner, but the cafeteria (with a beautiful view of the beach) was open and had a nice menu. The waiters were happy to get you whatever you needed. Very friendly place. My husband said they made him coffee at 6 am! They had a room to store our bicycles. I recommend it and I would love to go back!

    All was great.
