- Stunning place with an amazing view. Breakfast was excellent and had much to offer! Room was very spacious and modern and the bed extremely comfortable! Will definitely come back here!
- I liked my experience at Paralos The Maxine Hotel. The staff is friendly, helpful, and careful. The room was clean, stylish, and had an amazing view. Most importantly, it was a calm and relaxing stay, which we needed to recharge our batteries. The hotel is out of the village, so it was a quiet area, but not so far from the village that we couldn't walk there.
- The staff were very polite and kind. It’s a charming family-run hotel with friendly and helpful owners. My room was wonderful spacious with a comfortable bed. Breakfast was delicious, and the pool area was clean and modern, just like in the photos. The city center was only a 20-minute walk away, with plenty of restaurants and cozy bars for drinks. I stayed for 4 nights and had a great time. The atmosphere was very calm, so if you’re looking to reset and relax, this place is perfect
Cons -
- The location was a bit remote, but everything else was great.
- I wish I would have spend more time there ;)
- Just one coffee machine for breakfast creates long unnecessary waiting. The food quality can be improved.

Everything was clean and breakfast was very good. Staff was great. It was so windy all the time, but always clean like no wind at all
The location is perfect for chilling and relaxing as it is very quiet and it has an amazing view! The beds were very comfortable and the rooms looked so nice and modern. Also, the breakfast had a large selection and was very good.I would recommend renting a car for a visit there.
Nice hotel in Agia Galini, breakfast room with beautiful view of the sea.Good quality breakfast with both sweet and savory available.Very clean comfortable room and pleasant bathroom, balcony overlooking the sea.Beautiful heated outdoor swimming pool with bar.Definitely a hotel to recommend to all and return to.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. They helped with local travel information and went beyond my expectations with their service levels. The room was great, had a spectacular view and was very comfortable. Great breakfast!
I wish I would have spend more time there ;)
Beautiful place, very nice and helpful staff. Very good breakfast with a beautiful view.
Very nice and spacious rooms. Great view and delicious breakfast. Hotel Personal as very friendly and helpful
Very clean hotel and rooms, the shower was very spacious and the bed comfortable.Having breakfast or a drink on the top balcony is really enjoyable! The position is good to reach the town center through a nice walk along the sea.

I loved the breakfast and the view to the sea from the restaurant and our balcony. The swimming pool (in use) was gorgeous and really lovely to sit around and swim in. Nice choice of seating...beds, mattresses, deck chairs, comfy seats and nice tables.
I did not like the dis-used swimming pool. I think it could be more well hidden or tidied up.
The room and the view were absolutely beautiful, the staff really lovely, the bar and restaurant stylish and pleasant, also with a stunning view. Most of the breakfast was very nice too, with fresh fruit, good yoghurt, different bread, and a choice of coffees...
Only to be picky: You had to pay extra to get decent orange juice for breakfast, the alternative was a sort of watered down Fanta, which was not nice. For older people, the hotel is on too much of a slope. The light by my bed didn't work.
The pool , the views , the location and the staff was very helpful always open to help with any questions or requests, lovely place to spend your summer holidays .We would be happy to come back anytime :)
That we couldn't stay for a month ;)
We stayed in 4 places in Crete and this was our favourite. The hotel is on a mountain so stick to doing some stairs but otherwise it was perfect. Mega soft beds, thick fluffy pillows, gigantic shower, spacious rooms, super friendly staff. Nice pool with a pool bar where you can also get something to eat and or drink. I also came to Agia Galini as a child and it is wonderful to see how it has changed over the past 22 years.
Parking was a challenge. This is mainly a the rental cars but also the parking spots which were not in abundance.
The staff is really kind and smile almost every time you’ll see them. The proximity to the beach (be aware it’s not sand but stones) is a really nice point too (5-6min walk) and it’s not too crowded. The view from the reception and breakfast are nice and it’s peaceful in the morning (it’s a quite environment)
Basically nothing dramatic but there are a couple things we didn’t like about the hotel… The general cleaning service was not very good… (in the room, at the pool because the big sunbeds have lots of stains, the rooms,…) + The shower was stuck along the ten days we stayed there (we went three times to tell them it was stuck but we couldn’t bother anymore at the third time). So because the shower was stuck, the water came out in the toilet from a thing on the ground and that water stank really bad… So we had to put a towel on that thing so it kept the water (but we found it shocking the cleaning staff just left it there instead of doing something to help…The breakfast is weak… Honestly it’s a quite big hotel and their organisation is made for a small one so if a little bit more people come at the same time, it could get chaotic (no drinks, no food, no plates, no sets…). The bed sheets are just placed on the mattress so during the night (every night) you end up with your head on the mattress and it's a bit disgusting…The view from the room is a big, big drawback… That old pool and football field is just a shame… At least if the football field was a parking lot I don’t know…The insonorisation is not so good as you can hear people moving the chairs on the balconies while in your room…
Very beautiful hotel , with nice and clean rooms in a walking distance from the beach. The stuff was amazing . I would definitely recommend to stay there!
Nothing everything was great
A very convenient and tasteful choice for travelers in the area. It's very-well positioned to explore all the famous southern Rethymnon beaches, while at the same time serves pretty fine as a stay-and-drink-at-the-pool resort. Rooms are renovated recently in Boho-style and are spacious, offering a great view at the Agia Galini bay. Last but not least, the breakfast offered is more than decent!
Parking spaces could be more thoughtfully laid out, WiFi could be better. Overall, there are some corners that show the true age of the facilities, but nothing that should deter you from making a booking there :)
Location
No shower gels. Poor WiFi. Shower cabinet needs maintenance. Shaking shower mixer.
I would say everything was exceptional. Hotel was from my understanding is family owned and very very well cared in all meanings. Peoples' expectation are earned and there was a no kids! (only saw some teenager with their families which was totally okay)Owners were soo good that they even upgraded our room upon arrival. It was a bit far from our airport but they waited us even we did arrive a bit late. Breakfast was also so good and fresh. Everyday they were having some different bakery which is some Greek delight to our taste buds. Upon departure we have small problem and had to stay a bit late, but they were so kind that they did everything for us to able to stay in our room additionally 4-5 hours and provided all needed services meanwhil. Area is so cool, near to very alive city by foot. Like 20mins walk on coastline under mountains are very nice after sunset. You have lots of food options also sea is nearby which you can swim easily. Also they have one cute white ghost of puppy walking around and will greet you while you're siting on balcony during breakfast/dinner which we found extremely cute. No need get scared from size of it, he is such a fluffy cuteness.
I would say nothing? Everything was perfect
Spacious junior suite room and shower.Relaxing environment throughout the property.
The bar at the pool area didn’t have regular opening hours and the outdoor furniture was dated and in need of maintenance, cleaning or replacement. It was unclear whether the second pool was under construction or just not being used but the site could have been covered up better to avoid an eyesore from the balconies.
