PFA Hotel La Darsena - Follonica

Free parking, close to the event we were attending ( which was the only reason why we booked it ). Clean. Friendly staff apart from 1 very awkward and unpleasant employee. Breakfast is just about ok .

The hotel opened only a few days before ( as I was told by an unpleasant staff member), the room was damp and ice cold ( no heating) , the mattress and sheets were damp which assured a very unpleasant night ! There was no hot water on the day of arrival (and I was scolded by the same unpleasant staff member for questioning it). The water was lukewarm the next morning .

Breakfast was great, Hotel has pool,Interessting was that the rooms are like small apartments with own balcony, the hotel has its own safe parking slots, everything was fine

we had to take the car to the beach, but I think thats normal there. The Hotel has its own bile to rent - which is great, unfortunatelly no biles were available when we arrived. Would be great to offer the bikes with the accomodation also in booking.

Didnt like the fact I tried to cancel one night and despite the hotel saying they could do it. Somehow booking.command they couldnt get it to work and ended up having to pay for two nights whilst staying for one. . Not happy The ac was mediocre, the noise outside my window from below wasnt great. The shower was minute and the room had a step as soon as you walked in without any notice.

The staff is nice, the room is clean and the view from the terrace is beautiful, you can choose from a lot of delicious food at breakfast. We will go back next time.

It is an average hotel but it present itself better than it looks inside. The best thing about the hotel is free private parking. Breakfast was good (given the previous ratings of the breakfast, the feedback was probably taken into account). And the hotel is not far away from beach.

Room was clean (exception were windows), but the new furniture and equipment wouldn't be bad investment I guess. At the end of our stay we were quite taken back by the additional pay for consumption at bar and also we did not have opporutinity to see receipt - 56 euros for 4 beers and 2 drinks? We do not know if the tea and coffee at breakfast is also charged - that would probably explain that.. We also did not like nonexistent drink menu, we had to ask barman for doing some specific drinks.

Pool, balcony, comfortable bed.

Location - it is quite far away from the centre of Follonica, on every beach is just sand and Italians are very bad at English language.

The complimentary snacks which were provided with drinks were delicious. The drinks were good value. The service was excellent and the hotel was very clean. Only criticism was being charged for a swimming cap but nobody was wearing one in the pool.

The whole structure is old and needs improvement, the shower and the bed were old and uncomfortable.

The property was clean and comfortable. The staff were very helpful and cheerful.

Pillows could be replaced

Very nice hotels for a vacation stay; swimming pool is big and very well curated. Breakfast buffet could have been better (fresh fruits were missing) ; beach is nearby.

Bathing caps are required in the pool - even for men :-( ... Shuttle service to the beach has to be prebooked until evening late the day before, and even if not fully booked there's no spontaneus ride possible the morning after.

Absolutely nothing!

DO NOT STAY HERE! My friend got food poising at this hotel from the breakfast. The breakfast that was promised in the picture is not what we received at the hotel. The food was left out in 40 degree celsius heat for the entire morning, the meats and cheeses were left out uncovered and had flies hovering it. Do not believe the picture that they posted about the breakfast it did not at all resemble that! When we brought this to the attention of the staff and asked if we could have more options they said sure, but when we woke up the next day the breakfast was exactly the same. The room it self was awful! The mattresses were so uncomfortable, there was sand in the room when we arrived, so it had not been cleaned properly. The bathroom was disgusting and was infested with flying ants that my friend and I had to kill. The shower head had a greenish blue build up on it. The "garden view" was not at all a garden view, there was a ledge that obstructed the "view". The internet in the hotel room did not work and when I asked the staff if there was an other one we could connect to they said no. There was a lady who worked the front desk that was just awful, when I told her about my friend getting sick from the food she accused me of lying. Truly the worst customer experience ever! For the price we paid to stay here it was truly the worst experience ever! Do NOT stay here, you have been warned!

Had to wear bathing hats in pool and pool wasn't very deep, not enough sun chairs at the end of the day

Nice hotel, close to different beaches. Typical Italian breakfast, but very delicious. Big clean pool. We enjoyed our stay here.

Mediocre expensive facility

The price was not transparent, on the Booking.com app it was a price and then it was charged another price. The facility needs renovation

The rooms were big, bed was ok and theres parking lots available, but thats about it.

Very unfriendly staff at the reception, the doors are basically not sound proof at all, you can hear the room upstairs as if the people are talking in the same room due to the ventilation system of the bathroom, dinner buffet for 21 euro per person was cold!, also not good in taste nor in quality, breakfast equally bad. Bathroom is tiny, a normally grown European can hardly use the toilet. Pool can only be used with shower caps which need to be bought (3 euro each), nothing mentioned on their website or during the checkin. Kept our IDs as a safety for the whole stay, dont know if thats ok or not, but we wouldnt have been able to show it outside of the hotel if asked for it. Could continue but I guess its enough of a warning: better avoid, especially for the price you need to pay.

Rooms were spacious and clean and with balcony. Place for parking. Great staff! And very good breakfast.

The hotel was older but for very good price.
