    • Going back to this Casa Rural is a must! We will definitely go back. Lovely staff, very clean, quiet, comfortable and extremely enchanting! All around the house and patios is awesome, art everywhere! From gorgeous curtains to furniture and lots of small details, cute things everywhere! It is also in a great location just a few minutes walk from the town centre which is beautiful! and full of very friendly lovely people! A must to visit Almagro and Casa Tía Pilar!!! Best place we have stayed in a very long time!
    • Great location and it's very clean, in a very pleasant setting.

    Cons -

    • having to leave
    • Although the room was spacious you had to be careful not to trip over a step or two going from the beds to the bathroom. We hadn't expected to spend a night there and reserved on the spot, getting a room at an excellent price because they'd had several cancellations because of the weather conditions in Spain.
    • The staff were incredibly rude and inconsiderate. Two old ladies who clearly have nothing better to do than pick on people. Group of 4, asked for towels (we received only 2 with the room), and she proceeded to argue with my husband about our need for towels. The pool was not “open for the season” the 1st day of our reservation and when it was it had very specific hours. Then, the women just spy on you the whole time. The second day, my husband took the kids to the “pool” and she again continued to berate him about the need for towels, when/where/why. Unbelievably controlling and just unpleasant to be around. He is an incredibly patient man but even he felt like he was receiving grandmas lashings.

The decor was lovely, lots of antique furniture. Patios were charming and beautifully decorated. The hosts were very kind and friendly, they even provided me with a fan to take home. Street parking was not difficult to find.

The property is really beautiful, with a series of internal gardens and terraces and a pool. The rooms and the common areas are furnished wih taste and vintage pieces. Very relaxing ambient and a really welcoming host. Free wi-fi.

Unfortunately the terraces are reserved for the adjacent rooms and the pool was not available at the time of my stay. With 30 degrees I would've loved to jump in the pool. My room was OK, but a bit dark and located right next to the entrance. As a consequence I experienced an early wake up call... twice. That was not really pleasant.

The house is really beautiful and filled with period furniture.

I would have liked a kettle or a coffee maker in the room.

Everything. Two lovely ladies helped me with parking my car. Sat Nav let me down !!

Mercedes and Consuelo are wonderful hosts. The ambience in this guesthouse is amazing. The antique decor is beautiful.

The bed covers were sparse, we were very cold, they should have a spare duvet in the wardrobe. Couldn't get hot tea or coffee. The coffee machine delivered cold coffee.

The owners were very nice and welcoming, and it may have just been a misunderstanding on our part when we booked not realising it was almost rooms in their house. The rooms were clean and they seemed to offer breakfast.

This hotel was not what I expected or thought we were getting. We assumed it was a hotel, but was more like a bed and breakfast. It was far more off the track of where we were going than first thought. All of the furniture was more like in someones house and all very old.

beautiful 16th century hotel with modern comforts. Great location for theater goers or if you enjoy small village life.

    8JoséPosted on: 3-10-2023

The hotel is an ancient house refurnished with a remarkable good taste. Our room was large and its comfortable furniture dated from the beginning of the last century. Located at a short distance of the main square of Almagro it was a perfect place for wandering around and visiting churches, palaces, museums and the old theatre.

Our biggest disappointment was the lack of breakfast at the hotel. We had been it referred by friend, emphasizing the quality of its breakfast based of the regional specialties. There we were told that after the covid-19's pandemic they no longer serve breakfast. A pity.

A lovely old house in the centre of Almagro close to the beautiful square. The building is very interesting and tastefully furnished. Mercedes and Consuela were very welcoming and helpful. The hotel was easy to find, just follow the signs and parking was no problem, plenty of free parking close by on the street.

Hostesses were wonderful, decor magnificent, spotlessly clean. Pool an added bonus. Would definitely recommend staying here on the way to/from Madrid.

    Couldn't stay longer!

    10JillPosted on: 6-16-2022

Amazing find in this sleepy town, Mercedes treated us like family, proudly showing us round her home. Lovely comfortable bed. The place is full of little nooks and cranies to hide away in.

Stayed during a heatwave and air con not very efficient.

    9CraigPosted on: 5-5-2022

A spectacular place to stay. Beautiful house in a beautiful town. Very quiet and comfortable.

    Nothing, all good.

    10DoruPosted on: 3-20-2022

If you are looking for a place to sleep in Almagro, then my advice is to choose this hotel rural. It's a real museum. You don't know what to admire first, from the entrance to the room or cellar. An entire history hidden by the often dull stone walls. Great air conditioning for both summer and winter (with a heating system). Park anywhere nearby. I think parking in high season may quickly become a problem, since it was already crowded in March, when we went there.
