Vicentina Hotel

Perfect location with a comfortable room. The breakfast was excellent….a lot of food.

Stopped by on a bike tour of the Algarve region. Hotel located right along eurovelo route 1.Exceptional value for the price. Comfortable room. Great shutters on the windows for those who like a dark room to sleep. Breakfast is decent. It is served to you rather than being a buffet. Scheduled times between 8-10:30am.I was able to use a specific bike storage room in the garage because the property. Intermarche grocery store is right next to the hotel for any food shopping needs.

Some of the items in the rooms like the hair dryer are showing their age, but still functional.

Unlike many hotels that offer breakfast buffets, this hotel served breakfast from a menu, making it head and shoulders above the rubbery scrambled eggs, and dried out fried eggs found at buffets. They did all of this while providing you with lots of choice and of course a chance for seconds.

Amazing breakfast. Hotel on main road and next to Intermarche but relatively quiet. We slept with the windows open and were not disturbed by noise. We stayed only one night so didn’t get a chance to use all the extra facilities

Central location, quiet, clean

I emailed the hotel several weeks before checking in that there would be 2 people instead of 1 in my room. Upon checking in, the receptionist seemed unaware of this. Instead of.a room with 2 twin beds that I booked we were given a handicapped room. I would have preferred the room I booked. The room also had a sofa with a big tear in it, when we notified the front desk of the rip in the sofa, they gave a blanket to cover the hole.

It was comfortable enough.

Dated older property. Photos on line make it look more inviting. We were hiking the fishermen’s trail and property is not convenient to get too. Far from town center and restaurants.

Clean, quiet and comfortable room with plenty of storage, very nice individually-prepared breakfasts.

Staff were very good, and friendly. Breakfast was good.

Definitely not a 4 star hotel. Very cheap build, with paper thin walls.

Proximity to the Fisherman Trail and restaurants.

Nice and clean room. The staff were very grumpy when we arrived, we didn’t feel welcome at all. At breakfast staff was okay though.

Room was a bit basic

It was a very nice place and the breakfast was very good. The only issue was the hot water it took a long time to come through They had a laundry service which I used that was really good they had my clothes washed an dried within a few hours

Clean, close to Rota Vicentina, easy check-in, close to amenities (groceries, pharmacy, restaurants).

Friendly, helpful staff. Substantial breakfast. Loved having the grocery so handy for hiking provisions.

Room very dark. Bed not comfy for me.

Aljezur didn't have a 'proper' hotel for decades but the Vincentina has filled that void for several years now. This has made it possible to visit Aljezur when on our regular holidays in Portugal as we used to have a small house there many years ago, some fond memories.The hotel is well located and has (limited) out front parking and underground parking.It does have a quite decent pool area but obviously, we didn't use it in February.Rooms on the front have good views over the old town and the castle.

Poor insulation as in winter season the rooms are always well chill. However, air con features as heater also and it was needed.Prices have spiralled upward in recent years, even in low season. However, that's the story on much of the West Coast which is much more popular than in recent years.Layout of rooms a bit illogical and as with many hotels, you sometimes have to search for electricity sockets for chargers and the like.

Good location, nice sized room and bathroom. Hot shower. Glad to have heat in the room. Fine breakfast.

The sheets and pillows were not comfortable
