Very bumpy roads to get to and from the resort
Excellent restaurant, the room was really comfortable with a 1,5 year old and my partner - we had a small garden in front of our room. The spa was a great fun for my toddler in the morning. The staff was really friendly and kind.
The combination of the location, architecture, food, pool, nature, climate, smells, friendliness is magical. Special shout out to yoga teacher Sophia, who is fantastic.
Breakfast and lunch are spectacular. Dinner is good, but has some room to improve. Maybe a simpler, more straight forward menu?
The room was lovely. Dinner and drinks were wonderful. And Portugal in May is amazing with its wildflowers.
The staff was not excellent. I asked if there was an adapter I could borrow and he said no, but I could leave my phone at the front desk. It turns out that there are charging stations in the room that he didn't even tell me about. That is either an uneducated staff member, or just a bad person for the service industry. In a hotel that considers itself a luxury hotel, one would think there would be hand towels to dry your hands in the public restrooms. No such luck. There was Kleenex. Were we supposed to dry our hands with Kleenex? I don't know. And, the "spa" was a disgrace. No locker worked. No sauna worked. The door going from indoor to outdoor in the pool area did not work. One had to walk outside of the spa and around the whole building if they wanted to go to the other part of the pool. It was sad and pathetic, and they called it a luxury spa with hammam. Beware.
Fabulous and unique property - beautiful rooms and surroundings. Excellent food.
Shambolic and excessively overpriced wine offering.
Really beautiful room and hotel overall. We went in late-March and the weather was beautiful. We hiked and cycled on the suggested trails and did a really fun surf lesson with Nuno.
Isolated, nice facilities and nice staff.
Overcrowded spa, multiple visits to your room right after we arrived.
Wonderful stay for my husbands birthday. The breakfast buffet was fantastic with many options all delicious. We had a lovely meal at the restaurant for dinner, the food was great. Staff were helpful and pleasant.
Difficult to reach the resort from the main road by car and was scary particularly at night. better lighting to illuminate the way and signs would help!
Beautiful property, very peaceful and tastefully designed. Luxury without being stuffy.
The spa is very nice but quite small- being able to book a slot was sometimes a challenge. We were happy there was a specific timeframe for children to access with the remainder of the time being adults only.
Love the location, been back many times, beautiful rooms and views
Spa was too busy to use, no hot water in the spa shower and we weren’t informed the hot water wasn’t working before we came in
The staff could not have been more helpful and accommodating. A beautiful location, very tranquil and relaxed. Everything was perfect.
The food in the restaurant is excellent, including the vegetarian options, however there could be more choice for vegetarian main courses.
amazing place really nice staff breakfast is very tasty. I would highly recommend.
S could be more accessible for handicaps and less slippery
The hotel is situated in the heart of the Costa Vicentina Natural Park, offering a peaceful and nature-surrounded retreat. Architecturally, the construction is well thought out, providing guests with a sense of privacy and space while respecting the natural surroundings. The rooms and bathrooms are of a high standard, although the mattresses could be improved. The bar and lobby are very cosy, and the cocktails do not disappoint. Breakfast is in keeping with the standard of the hotel, with good produce and well-prepared food (although the service could be quicker and more attentive). I would definitely recommend this hotel for people who are not scared to drive through dirt and gravel roads, oddly it seems to bother many people, i thought it was quite refreshing. Staff is extremely attentive and always keen to help and facilitate.
The quality of the mattress could be better and the service in the restaurant could be a bit more efficient. On both days during my stay i had to go through 3 salt and pepper shakers to get some salt or pepper. Once seated guests should be asked about bread and coffee seeing these need to be brought to you from the kitchen. these are minor points and I am only really raising them so provide feedback as i do think this hotel has the potential to impress and delight most guests
Spa is excellent and the staff are friendly and helpful. Hotel is modern and comfortable.
Nothing!
It is placed in an amazing location- no other hotels and facilities. Architecture is beautiful and the vibe gives you a lot of peace There are yoga class in the morning with wonderful Sofia! Great breakfast and super nice staff.
This was our second stay, and we saw a little bit of things that didn’t work as well as the first stay, however the hotel manager listened to the feedback and responded to it with care, which is the most important. This made us feel appreciated and we will come back whenever time allows. Special thanks to Bruno, Selina and Bellboy who are truly amazing!
The breakfast is top quality and the staff were very friendly. A big thank you to Melanie (front desk) and Sasha (bartender) for their impeccable service. The room is clean and spacious, we had a nice view from our little terrace. Esteva Spa is definitely a must-do. Room service also very thoughtful and quick. It can get a little cold but they have heating system in the rooms that keeps it a very nice temperature. Very comfy beds and pillows. We wouldn't change anything about the rooms.
Unfortunately for us there had been a big group before our check in, perhaps wedding guests. This resulted in less attention of detail and care going into the rest of the hotel guests, such as ton of dirty towels around pool area not being cleaned up, same in the spa area, lunch area not prepared on time so we had to wait, but nothing was too major, we still enjoyed our time there. The next day was better as the big groups had left. After that everything seemed calmer and better organized.
The facilities, the room and the SPA. Specific positive comment for Pedro (massage).
We highly enjoyed our stay here the room size was so good , the bed was extra comfortable and the room was so clean . The resort it self so nice and the staff are extra nice .. especially jonathen in the restaurant big thanks to him . And the food waa amazing
My big disappointment was the spa is this is a high standard resort the spa doesn’t meat this standard… The entrance to the resort a bit confusing and difficult wish if there were a sign for the proper entrance
