Pros +
- Very clean, good cooking equipment
- Lovely place to stay a night while hiking the Fisherman's Trail. The breakfast was great and the pool was lovely for relaxing after a long day. The room was comfortable and clean.
- Both Paul and Sergio were exceptional. Paul enabled us to check in early and provided towels for the pool. Sergio arranged a ride to the restart of the Rota Vincentina. Both excellent.
Cons -
- unconfutable bed
- Our room might have been a smoking room before—at least, it smelled like it. Lots of mosquitos (but that’s normal for Arrifana).
- Not very friendly staff besides a couple young men who were polite and good with kids

I hope I remember the name correctly, but Carlos was the best! He was so helpful and accommodating. He made sure we had our drinks, and that my laundry got washed - always with a smile on his face. Breakfast choices were amazing! We were allowed to hang out at the pool before check-in and I was allowed in the pool area early in the morning for my yoga practice!

The staff couldn’t have been nicer. Good breakfast. Pool & bar. Since this was a hotel it was nice to have toiletries which I didn’t have in guest houses.
A little hard to find. Maps showed different locations.
Rooms were clean. Breakfast is ok.
Based on the photos here, I feel quite deceived. Facilities are very dated. The decking near the pool is rotten and gives you splinters. The photos suggest there is a bar near the pool: that does not exist. There is an empty vending machine.
We stayed one night only, but it's suitable for longer stays. The room was clean, wide, view on the swimming pool, all amenities working great, quite comfortable beds. The hotel needs a little bit of renovation, but it was perfect for us.Breakfast was varied and enyoyable, pretty yummy I'd say.All the staff members who we met were very kind and welcoming.Ample and safe parking inside.Well located if beaches are your main interest, a little bit far from Aljezur, you need a car anyway.Would recommend, we had a (short) and excellent experience.
Excellent breakfast. Lots of choice.
Easy to hear adjacent room noise. Lots of barking dogs at night and a dripping noise from room above.
Room was fine, but what was terrible stinky air conditioning. Because there was raining, we came frozen and need some warm. without it wasnt possible. Brakfest was fine and staff as well.
Nice in town location, close to a few restaurants. Room was big, comfortable bed, hot shower. Glad to have heater in room. Breakfast buffet was excellent, full range of foods.

Good room with a good bed, good hot shower. Clean. Quiet. Friendly staff, especially the guys at the desk and breakfast . Very good breakfast. Supermarket around the corner and two good restaurants too
Not so much atmosphere. Bit old fashioned. Swimming pool outdated and not cosey
We had a comfortable and spacious ground floor room with a bathroom overlooking the lawn area. The hotel had a very sensible system for breakfast time which required you to choose an hour when you would like to eat. The dining area was not large, so this made perfect sense. The breakfast food was of very good quality and included local preserves/jams. The staff were lovely. The swimming pool area was also very spacious with lots of sun beds. The hotel was not all all noisy. This could have been because a lot of the clientele were walkers who probably wanted a good night's sleep themselves.
This Hotel carries 2 stars. We believe it is underrated as it is providing a 4 star service. So much better than the last place we stayed at on this trip which was supposedly 4 star ( In Mustique ). I recommend Hotel VDT which is extremely good value and made us feel very comfortable with excellent breakfasts and efficient and pleasant service throughout.
Lovely Moroccan decor, very clean and beautiful. Spoke English!!

Staff weren’t very friendly, our room was never made up, housekeeping didn’t arrive until 4/5pm in the afternoon which is too late
Good, comfortable bed. There was a small terrace, with a pool view. Breakfast was quite good.
The minibar in our bedroom did not work. The solution we were offered was to store our goods in their kitchen refrigerator. This was not very convenient for us. We would have preferred a change of minibar to one that worked. The staff at the front desk were mostly friendly. How, there was a lady (who seemed to be the manager or supervisor) who had a very cold and distant attitude, which made one feel not very welcome whenever you crossed ways with her.On our third day, our room was not cleaned. When we arrived at 5p.m. nobody hade clead or serviced our bedroom. We came to the hotel to rest in the afternoon, which was hard to do, as the cleaning staff were still working on some rooms with the vacuum cleaner. All in all, the stay was OK, but we do not think it was good value for money. We would have expected better conditions given what was paid.
Near the beachClean showers toiletsBlockout blinds to sleep well
The checkin was slow process
Relaxed atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff and a good location to explore the area.
Would have liked tea & coffee making facilities within the room. The wooden area around the pool was in need of maintenance.
