Amoras Country House Hotel

Beautiful place in a quiet area of the town. The dinner and breakfast were delicious and great attention from the staff. We had a great time and refreshing start.

The staff helped me with breakfast. I am vegetarian and they provided me with good options. I wrote to them in advance, of course. I appreciated it a lot. The hotel itself is beautiful, very quiet, at least it was when I was there. The room I was in was large but each room varies a little. The rooms have a fridge, which is great so you can purchase whatever you want from the nearby large supermarket (just steps away) and keep it in the fridge. I loved the balcony. The restaurants is beautiful and what I ordered was tasty (and the portion was good). The pool is huge and perfectly clean. Fabulous place.

The only thing is a little bit of mold (very little) on the bathroom tiles. I have found this problem in a few Portuguese hotels. They don't know that a simple product costing only 1 Euro resolves that problem if applied frequently. But the place is very clean and as I said it was only a very minor issue. I would stay there any time.

The pool area was nice.

Breakfast was very poor.Rooms are quite noisy, woke up early.in the morning with doors banging.On the last day we asked if we could do late checkout, and even with the hotel empty, we were told we couldn't (which is totally ok)We then asked if we could stay in the pool for 50min since we had some time to spare until lunch time and were told that we could for a bit. 40mins after, someone approached us in the pool (which was empty) and aggressively told us that we're past our check-out time and we need to leave. We were also told that if we wanted to use the pool after checkout we'd need to pay, although we didn't see any mention of this or the price anywhere during our stay and weren't informed of the price at all.Of course the hotel doesn't need to allow us to stay in the pool an extra 50mins, but the way the situation was handled made us feel like intruders and ruined the good memories we made in this place.

The quietness around the hotel and the pool, not kids were staying there at that time :-) I like kids but i also like to hear my toughts and that was possible that day. The restaurant is great, starting by the lady receiving you.

I wanted to get someting from my car later night at 2:00Am and the doors were bloked with none at reception!!!! makes you feel a bit concern... I guess the doors are glass so you can always boke it on an emergency, but not good, at least make the doors open from inside

Rooms are not sound proff, or light proff , you wake up when the sun rises .. they need to improve this problem of the sun and light coming inside the rooms at night . Pool is to cold they should also warm the water of the pool

the hotel shuts down every Monday, so we had to go elsewhere after our stay on Sunday. Just as well because the bathroom is worn out and needs repair.

Very comfortable overnight stop with dinner. English spoken at reception and dinner. Good service, comfortable clean warm (in November) room. The hotel is beautifully decorated. Dinner in the restaurant was a quite good. I was surprised the restaurant was open mid-week as there were very few guests the night I stayed (2 rooms?).

View from my room was ugly but it was only 1 night.

The place is beautiful, it's in a pleasant location and it has lovely decoration. It has ample parking space and the staff is very nice.

Breakfast was good generally speaking, the coffee was bad.

The food of the restaurant is quite good and a good value for money. The room is also nice and the hotel is quiet (but we went in April 2021, so this might had an impact). Staff is also very friendly

The water of the shower could be hotter and the breakfast was a little poor (also, this might have happened because of covid situation where there is no buffet service)

All good but we missed some drinking water in the room.
