Where to start? Our stay at the Philoxenia was just lovely. We came into Corfu on an early flight from Athens and were thrilled to find our room was already clean and ready to go. The hotel breakfast was yummy and plentiful. The hotel restaurant was outstanding and served the best calamari and baklava we had during the entire trip. The staff was helpful and informative. If you’re looking for a quiet getaway to take in the beauty of Corfu at a leisurely pace, then the Philoxenia is an excellent choice!

location was good but if you don't rent a car public transportation wasn't enough.

I really liked the location, large and clean rooms and wonderful service.

Staff was amazing. Kind, professional, polite, any good adjective you can think of. Always available.Room was clean, beds were big and comfortable, so were the pillows. Outside glass doors had anti-insect net so we didn't have trouble with those.AC worked perfectly. Balcony was cute.Breakfast was PERFECT.Choice of food for lunch/dinner was huge with reasonable prices.Area was chill, close to the beach, to the market.Also area around the pool was probably a highlight; good cocktails.Parking was easy to find.

Shower(/bathtub) was a bit narrow, would've liked it a little bit more if it was bigger.Doors were a bit thin so you could hear noise from the hallway if someone was talking. Sides of the pool needed deeper cleaning and pool bar stools needed to be replaced.A bit of nitpicking: the fridge was small for our taste (large water bottle didn't fit).

We liked the authentic family atmosphere, the quiet location, great hiking trails and amazing views.

Room a bit small, breakfast a bit repetitive, beach down the street not nice so having a car is key as there are other fabulous beaches a short drive away

Everything at Philoxenia was exceptional. The location is beautiful, the hotel is well-equipped, the staff is remarkably helpful, the breakfast was great, the restaurant for dinner was tremendous - we were pleased with all aspects of our experience. We are very happy that we stayed in Ermones and at Philoxenia - the hotel offers a variety of excursions and there is a bus that makes it easy to get to the old town of Corfu.

We had no issues at all - everything was wonderful.

Good location. Pool was nice. Room was comfortable.

Crowded. Parking limited. Breakfast was crowded. Dinner was just ok and overpriced.

The hotel staff is super friendly and there to help and guide in everything that you would like. Also, the view from the hotel is absolutely wonderful.

For us it was great but we needed a car to explore more of the island

This lovely family run hotel prides itself on service with a smile. The location is quiet with beautiful scenery. There is a lovely poolside area. The hotel restaurant serves delicious food at a good price. Takis, was there with so much information and arranged a tour for the two of us which we enjoyed very much. The bedroom was comfortable with a small pretty patio to sit out on and enjoy the lovely garden. The rooms were very clean and the bed had a foam topper for comfort. We felt cared for and welcomed.

The wasps. One of us is allergic to insect stings. The wasps were out in force in August. Others we believe had also been stung. One of us ended up having to go to hospital overnight because of multiple stings. The hotel staff were very helpful getting us a ride to the clinic and were very upset that it had happened. They were aware of them. However, all of Corfu seems to have the same problem not just this hotel. Do be aware if you are anaphylactic to bring your EpiPen.

The breakfast was great, lots of choices and the food was fresh and delicious! The view was amazing, great location to visit all of Corfu. Definitely rent a car. Should you decide to stay at the hotel for the day, the restaurant Odyssey had many delicious options and the staff was very attentive; the pool was also wonderful.

My husband was happy about the bed comfort; I didn't mind it

The hotel was very nice and comfortable. We appreciated the breakfast a lot, the dining room nearby was awesome. The staff was really nice and ready to support.

We liked everything

Hotel has an amazing view, rooms are very clean and staff are very friendly. The pool area is really nice and has a bar to order drinks and lunch can be ordered too. The hotel also has a lovely breakfast everyday with a wide variety of food not just cereals! Also an amazing restaurant for food in the evening which serves amazing food and has a lovely view! The gentleman who runs the pool area and the tours/activities is the go to go for day trips, taxis and tours. Rooms were cleaned everyday and all the staff were so welcoming and friendly.The beach 5 mins down the road is very nice and also has a bar/restaurant.

The location is peaceful and quiet and does have a beach which is nice but is a car/taxi journey from a fair amount of things and it can be expensive if u have to taxi a lot as the local taxis, renting a car is the way to go. However the gentleman who runs the tours, activities and pool area at the hotel can help arrange a taxi for you and this can be much cheaper.

The room was clean and tidy , the pool was excellent, the staff were all kind and helpful , nothing was too much trouble , all staff went above and beyond to help you enjoy your stay at the philoxenia hotel .

There was nothing I didn’t enjoy about our stay at the Philoxenia hotel .

Everyone in the hotel was very nice and happy to answer questions and give advice. Breakfast was fine, with many options to choose from, including typical Greek dishes. We recommend the room with a sea view because you can watch the sunset every evening. We also tried mojitos at the pool bar and they were perfect! :)

The location is peaceful and serene, around the middle of the island and 25 min by car from the airport. It makes it easier to be a hub to see the whole island by car, but also the beach next to hotel is very calm and the views are breathtaking.. The staff was incredibly helpful in finding nearby restaurants/attractions always with a smile. The mojitos in the pool bar were amazing.

The family are so lovely and accommodating. No matter what you need they will be happy to help! The location is right on the beach, next to a nearby restaurant. The included breakfast everyday was AMAZING! Takis also made the best mojito at the pool bar. I had a very lovely time here, thank you everyone at philoxenia ?

The view from the room was really beautiful.

Accommodation needs equipment reconstruction. The lady at the reception had unkind remarks when I asked her about beach towels. Breakfast was the same every day. We only ate boiled egg and olives.

The staff was amazing, starting from cleaners to the owner of the place.We loved the room - it was bright and spacious.The pebbled beach nearby (3mins walking) was very beautiful.

The breakfast could be more diverse.Nothing much around, you would need a car to get around.Going from the beach to the hotel you go up the hill, so it might be a bit difficult under the summer heat.

The location is very good. The staff is nice and helpful. The best thing was having lunch under the trees besides the pool. Nice atmosphere, very enjoyable place.

The only thing I didn't like was the shower in our accomodation.
