Great location. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The room was comfortable and well maintained. The beach was beautiful and steps from the hotel. The restaurant was very good. All and all it was a terrific choice.
Close to the beach, free parking, diverse breakfast, nice and friendly staff, sea view rooms.
The pillows are too soft, but this is a personal choice.
The view of the sea from the rooms and breakfast area was lovely. The breakfast was very generous and we could sit anywhere in the restaurant or outside , which was very rewarding. The staff were helpful especially Mrs Irini at the reception ( brown shoulder length hair ) and the other Mrs Irini ( blond long hair) at breakfast . They both went out of their way to help us and were so friendly. My husband and I both use a cane and she insisted on carrying our tray so we could choose all the delicious items on the breakfast buffet. She also helped bring our tea and coffee to our table with a genuine smile and kindness. Mrs. Irini of the reception arranged for taxi rides from the airport to the hotel and when we wanted to go to Corfu town. She noticed that I worry a lot about organizing my trips especially on the last day where we were heading to the port and airport and assured me she will organize for a ride and the taxi came on time . She was supposed to finish her shift at 2:30 pm but was still around at 4 pm when our taxi arrived. ( I believe she stayed on purpose to see us off and make sure we got a taxi on time ) ?We were allowed to check out late at 4 pm for a small fee which is hotel policy. We were so pleased that they accommodated us and we could enjoy our last day on the lovely beach. All the staff were very kind and helpful. The hotel provided us with beach towels and an umbrella at no charge. There are beach chairs and umbrellas for rent on the beach but on our first 2 days the guy in charge of renting the lounge chairs and umbrellas was not there which made it very difficult for us at first to enjoy the beach but we found a big deserted umbrella and sat under it. The view from the sea is lovely all around but the sea was a bit cold in July. There is a great restaurant between the beach and the hotel where we had most of our lunches and dinners except for the night we went to Corfu Town .
It‘s not really things we did not like about the hotel itself but just some inconveniences. There are quite a number of steps from the hotel to the Restaurant and then a steep ramp to the beach which is no problem for people who have no accessibility problems but it was hard for my husband and me as we have some accessibility issues but we still made it to the beach and restaurant daily and had a great time. The hotel is also far from the old town Corfu , which we knew ahead , so make sure if you plan on going to the old town to arrange for a taxi both ways. The hotel will arrange for you but take the phone number of the taxi to arrange for a ride back. There are no shops , supermarkets near the hotel. Also there were way too many cats ( more than anywhere else in Greece). They are adorable but if u are allergic to cats they are everywhere and very friendly especially while we were eating.
First of all the hotel staff were amazing, specially Irene at the front desk was so nice and friendly. We were able to check in earlier, we were offered breakfast on the day of check in, all staff were so helpful to us throughout the entire stay.Breakfast was good, it had everything we needed.Room was good, clean, bathroom had everything even dental kits, room had an amazing balcony with nice sea view.At check out we were able to leave our luggage for later, moreover we were able to use shower rooms, towels…etc.Location wise the hotel is 1 minute walking from the beach, beach was sandy, clear water, no rocks…etc. There was a restaurant on the beach from 13,00-21,00 offering everything you need, drinks, coffee, snacks, food, very nice seafood and we had 10% discount being guests at Glyfada beach hotel. The views on the mountain were incredible.I would highly recommend, this hotel, Corfu island, and Greece in general.
Nothing really, everything was excepcional and amazing.
I liked the location, right next to the beach. Next to the hotel there is a restaurant serving excellent food.
The positioning near the beach. The staff was nice. The breakfast was great (except the coffee and juice)
Bad wifi connection. The overall impresiion was of old things (bed sheets, towels, furniture, bathroom).
Very nice hotel, with welcoming team.Great breakfast. Excellent location.
One small issue: The safe is attached to nothing, so it can be easily taken as a whole. It doesn’t give you a safe feeling to leave your important staff there, while going to swim.
we liked everything! the location right on the beach at the end of it, where it’s more private. The hotel has rooms in a 3 story building and 4 apartments in a separate building which in on the beach. The apartment was very comfortable and nicely furnished, the view from the balcony gorgeous. I missed having a microwave in the kitchen but otherwise cooking was ok.there’s a good buffet breakfast on the main building terrace. The beach side restaurant had great food and lovely staff. They were very generous in helping me when I got a bad purple jellyfish sting.Irini at the reception is very friendly and helpful.we were sad to leave that piece of paradise. Our next stay was in a posh hotel in Paleokastritsa but the beach there was very poor. Glyfada is by far the best.
we liked everything
Well prepared food for breakfast, variety of meals and drinks for selection
The hotel is very well located, close to the beach with fine sand and smooth entry into the water. The water is clean and in September it was warm. The beach has a landscaped area, there are sun loungers and umbrellas and leisure facilities. The view from the hotel is particularly beautiful. We had the sea view room and it was well worth it. The area is particularly beautiful, the mountains go down to the sea and the water is blue.Cleaning in the hotel is daily, but it is not very rigorous, in the room is not cleaned on the floor, but the beds are made, towels are changed daily.Breakfast is very varied, but is the same every day. However there is something for everyone. There are 2 minimarkets where you can buy water or some basic necessities. Also in that area there are a few terraces. The bus station to Corfu Town is about 700 meters from the hotel and takes about 45 min, even 1 hour, depending on traffic. We used the taxi service to the airport because it was very early and cost 50 eur, the company was very professional. All the hotel staff are very friendly, both Irene at the front desk and the kitchen and room staff.
Not rigorous cleaning in the rooms and in food area. The major problem is isolation of the hotel. There aren't many facilities around. There is only one restaurant in the area where you can have lunch or dinner. There is no area to walk around except on the beach. To visit other areas using local transportation you need to go to Corfu Town which takes quite a long time.
breakfast was exfellent, wide offer of vegies, fruits, greek cheeses, eggs, patries, drinks
I cannot think about anything to be better
The hotel is very close to the beach and the higher floors have a great sea view. The hotel is a bit run down but a very good value for money. The staff was so great and very attentive. It was great to eat breakfast at the terrace outside.
There was some noise and light in the night coming from the building opposite but no problem with blinds and windows closed. The restaurant closes already at 9 p.m. during off season months.
The hotel is on the beach. From the room you can see and hear the sea. They clean every day the room. Our room had balcony. The bed is comfortable, the size of the room is suitable for 2 person. The breakfast is good. The beach is sandy, has sunbeds and we received sunbed towels. The view is stunning.
The restaurant near hotel has a poor menu.
Couldn’t have picked a better location, right on the beach. Waking up every morning to the sound of waves and the view was heaven.
Close to beach. Good breakfast. Fridge and kettle in room. Good aircon. Friendly staff.
Extractor fan in our bathroom not working. Shower screen leaked! Otherwise all good! Hotel restaurant ok but few walkable alternatives.
Room very comfortable with good size balcony overlooking the sea , good choice of hot and cold for breakfast
Location great for a beach holiday but quite remote from nearest town so car would be useful
Good breakfast with lots of options. Nice location by the beach, great views. Friendly staff and easy parking available in the premises. There was a mini fridge in the room, which makes it easy to store some food/beverages.
Not a lot of restaurant options available in walking distance (maybe because it was the end of summer and start of off-season). The rooms were not very quiet (you could hear everything from the hall) and in the evening there was this very intense smell like someone was deep frying tons of food next door.
