    • we stayed at the hotel for two nights during our anniversary and really enjoyed our time there. The staff were amazing - so friendly, helpful, and kind across the board, from the reception to breakfast and the spa. The pool area was a great spot to relax, and we especially appreciated the thoughtful anniversary treats delivered to our room. Breakfast was wonderful.
    • The hotel was beautiful. Very clean. The staff was amazing . We would to thank Alexis who took fabulous care of us during our stay. We also loved the location .
    • Very clean room, good cleaning and gifts. Amazing view from the balcony. Good AC and bathroom.

    Cons -

    • The room with the private pool wasn’t as private as we had hoped - it overlooked the main pool and was fully visible to other guests. Still, it didn’t overshadow the lovely experience overall.
    • At the last day of the stay, a lot of ants came from outside the door. The mosquito plug might have helped a bit
    • Nothing was wrong

Our expectations were high, but this 5 star hotel disappointed. The amenities are nice, the beach area as well and thalasso has a great view. The beds are very comfortable and the buffets varied in the evenings. The staff is amazing, so kind and caring, on top of everything. Alicia the manager did a great job, very professional and doing everything she can to accommodate us.

We started in an imperial room that was a letdown, with a view on a water structure and ugly buildings and a parking in the back. We changed to the main building the next day, a more cozy room with pool view. You cross a bridge over a highway to get from the main building to the imperial / beach side and the highway was busy and louder than we expected, you can hear it from most rooms in the main building. Big pools, closing at 6 PM. The imperial sea view rooms are serene, although even more expensive and even though these are the newer rooms, it feels dated. Maybe it’s a matter of taste as well. The balconies are well located, but the tiles are cheap and the furniture is simple, without cushions or anything comfortable. The price is doesn’t match the offer and they made smart photos. We enjoyed the buffet, quite diverse and much fruit in the morning and some diversity in the evenings. The gyms are alright and the spa is beautiful with a wide range of treatments. We had a massage by a woman which was bad, painful, uncomfortable and no real massage techniques, I wouldn’t recommend it at this price point. There’s also a male masseur and he does better apparently. The mini bar has tea and they only stock it between set times the next day, you’ll pay if you want an espresso capsule or bottle of water. They have packed wooden sticks to stir your drink.. It all feels very no frills and basic which is unacceptable for a price point at 350 euros a night. Overal an okay stay, but we just expected something nicer, this doesn’t live up to our 5 star hotel expectations and definitely not for the nightly price.

Beautifully kept environment, friendly and accommodating staff, ample parking, delicious breakfast

Would have a preferred to be closer to the town.

Extremely clean and junior staff were very helpful and friendly. The botanical gardens were 30 minutes away and a great place to visit.

Unbelievable that this hotel thinks it’s 5 Stars. - Coffee in the room was provided at the start but it cost extra for daily refills- Better sun beds cost 20 euros per day (basic ones were free)- Even the jacuzzi in the spa cost extra - One bottle of water was provided on arrival, when we asked for another we were told to order from room service- Not all of the restaurants advertised were open (mid/late April)- Room sound insulation was terrible, you could hear everything from the neighbours. The repeated attempts to up-sell made for a bad experience despite lovely customer-facing staff.

Exceptional Hotel Experience! We had an incredible stay at this hotel! The structure itself is great, with beautiful, well-maintained facilities that make it a pleasure to spend time in. The location is also excellent. The real highlight, though, is the food: Every meal over the past week has been a memorable experience, with exceptional variety and meticulous attention to detail in each dish. Every bite, from savory dishes to desserts, feels special. And speaking of desserts—they’re absolutely incredible, as tempting as they are delicious. I’ve never seen anything like this in any other hotel. The breakfast was also really good, offering a wide selection that catered to every taste. I highly recommend booking the half board as we did, you won’t find a restaurant better than this! What truly sets this hotel apart is the attention of the staff from start to finish. They are friendly, attentive, and genuinely dedicated to ensuring every guest has an exceptional experience. Can’t recommend it enough! I rarely return to the same place twice, but here, I may rethink my rule.Thank you!

There were a few issues with the room but did get sorted out. Staff were helpful.

I enjoyed Minoa Palace..great breakfast, clean surroundings felt safe as 24/7 reception..very important as we drove 2hrs from Hraklion airport. Andreas at reception checked us in and out..pleasant experience always with a smile. There was parking for a loan car at no extra cost. Pool is AMAZING and pool staff attentive. Breakfast buffet caters for all tastes..felt full till dinner.

The experience of staying in Minoa Palace resort was simply outstanding! The facilities, the services and above all, the personnel, made our stay one of the most amazing experiences when it comes to summer vacation! We travelled for the first time with our baby which was 8 months old, and they made everything so easy for us, being always there to help us, to find solutions for us, and always with a huge smile on everyone’s face! Totally recommend it!

    Nothing. It was amazing!

I really like the wine testing menu at the sea side restaurant and the setup at the sea side/beach. Friendly service and a special relaxed environment. The rooms were really comfy, open büfe for breakfast and dinner was great! We have received another gift every day, thank you!!

Toilets at the beach side could be cleaner and small renovations here and there. The pool close to reception could be more clean. However, these are small details.

Fair room size. Breakfast was always good.

Staff were not of high standard. I would say there was a mismatch between hotel quality and staff willing to take the extra time and effort.

The resort is very beautiful, the beach area is nicely kept, from the hotel location you can see both sunrises and sunsets. The food choices were amazing, a massive buffet both at breakfast and dinner. Dinner varied every evening. Room, bed and bedlinen were very comfortable. Staff is mostly young and well trained to be polite, as I noticed Greek people is not always so. There was always live music playing somewhere every evening.

What bothered me was that towards the end of our stay, the room next door got occupied and I could hear them being intimate, so thin the walls are! The spa pool & jacuzzi waters are kept so cold, it's impossible to get in. And they must upgrade their gym, which is totally incompatible to a 5-star hotel (extremely old equipment).

    10DimaPosted on: 8-11-2024

Great place. Very friendly staff. The beach is nice, even though it is not sandy. The sea is warm and clean. The pools are also great. The food is the best hotel food I have ever had, 10/10. The cocktails are good in the bars. The rooms are great. There was also live music every day, a very good one. There are also water sports activities nearby. Amazing place

The drinks are not included in the dinners. The beach is not sandy even though it looks sandy in the pictures. It would be nice to have more gaming activities, e.g. have a room with billiards. But overall, these things are not that significant.

We loved the extremely diverse breakfast and the coffee was excellent. The staff was very friendly and professional, particularly Babis and Zoi. The entertainment on Tuesfay evening with the band ... Panda was on par to a jazz bar. It's lovely to be able to spend a whole day only in the resort, if we wish too.

Cleanliness in the bathroom could be better.

The first and the most important in this hotel is the staff! Everyone was just exceptionally good, welcoming you as if you are a family member. They create the atmosphere of relaxation and good mood. The complex itself is big, well maintained, consists of two hotels divided by the road but connected by a bridge. We stayed in the older part of the complex and we loved it although It needs some upgrades (gym for instance). Beach area is really nice. We appreciated that the music in the beach bar was not loud and one can enjoy the sound of the sea, it was very relaxing.

Gym area (old equipment). Working hours of the spa and pools. We didn’t really understand why the pool area and spa closes at 6 pm as we found it to be a little bit too early. Coming after a day of hiking it would be nice to relax near the pool.
