San Montano Resort & Spa

Beautiful view, amazing pool options, and new towels twice a day. Shuttle to Lacco Ameno and to the beach. Welcome gift of some snacks and water. Breakfast buffet with many options and without the need to go off-site. Comfortable beds and robes. We also did the massage in the lemon grove and it was really nice. It is outdoors, so keep that in mind when booking if you are comfortable with that. It is also shaded to keep the sun off. The massage was very relaxing. There are some ants and such nearby, but they use incense, I think, to smell nice and keep the bugs away. The staff were all very pleasant and attentive.

The hotel is not close to anything like a bus stop or other destinations. The shuttle goes to Lacco Ameno and San Montano Beach. If you want to go elswehere and explore like the castle, forio, or the mountain Epomeo you will need to shuttle and then bus or taxi. The taxis will add up over time. for example from the port Cassiomicola to the hotel it is about 30 euros. If you want ot explore Ischia I would rent a car or scooter early on because they get booked up. Or, optionally, I would stay somewhere else and then come and stay at San Montano when you are ready to stay put and live in luxury. I also wish the experiences prices were online for us to see. It is kind of a hassle to email to inquire and then have the time difference so the communication is slow, although daily. Also, we ran into when going into the pool they like to set you up with a table and chairs and two twoels each. Sometimes we just wanted to go for a quick swim and didn't need the whole setup but often were asked to wait when picking up towels. We weren't planning to lounge for a few hours just swim for about 30 min. I think there should be a quick option too.

What a magical stay, such an amazing setting and the staff were incredible. Unbelievable pools and an incredible beach just a short shuttle away. The restaurants on the property were delicious too! Our room was so nice and the balcony overlooking the water was sublime.

We spent weeks traveling along the Amalfi coast and this was the most relaxing stay we had. The pools alone were beautiful but never crowded and relaxing. The shuttle into town was very easy and convenient. Breakfast was very good and staff were friendly.

Great location with exceptional views for both sunrise and sunset. Very good service throughout. We loved that the restaurant staff was very flexible to serve dishes that were not on the menu. The food quality of the restaurant was very good, as was the breakfast.

We would have liked the possibility for earlier dinner (the restaurant opens only at 8pm).

The view from our side sea view room was gorgeous. The staff were friendly and attentive. There were numerous pools available depending on the temperature you wanted. There were lounges available around the pool and Antonio was always available to help. The spa was incredible. We had a couples massage booked by Antoinette, who went out of her way to accommodate our needs. Our therapist were Grazia and Giovanni who were beyond excellent. The best part of San Montano is the quiet. If you need to relax and recharge this is the place for you.

I didn’t care for the half door shower. Also the evening dining room options were a bit to “fancy” for my husband and I.

The property had a great location on the top of the mountain, with great views of the bay, and sunset. Amenities are amazing, clean, and beautiful, with lots of thermal pools. The staff was very attentive and helpful in all aspects.

I can’t think anything I didn’t like. I want to stay forever in this place.

We stayed at San Montano for our Honeymoon -- we loved the property, the variety in pools, the daily breakfast, and the staff! We loved having access to using the spa facilities and our room had a cute balcony with the best views!

San Montano has beautiful views as it's perched atop a hillside -- this is great; however, if you want to go to anywhere for dinner or to a beach club then be prepared to pay anywhere around $50 - $100 for taxi transportation. The hotel does offer free shuttle service to Lacco Ameno and Bay of San Montano beach which is helpful!

Amazing resort with great facilities, great staff, restaurants and activities. Shout out to the staff: Francesco, Eduardo, Carlos and Demetria for making our stay better than we imagined, thank you to hard working cleaning ladies and pools guy, restaurant staffWill be back?

Be closer to home to visit more often

We loved our stay! The staff was warm and welcoming, the restaurants were fantastic (especially La Veranda), and the views of the sea were breathtaking. The facilities and thermal pools were the perfect way to unwind. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay! The property was absolutely beautiful and had everything we could have hoped for in a 5-star hotel. The staff went above and beyond—helping us with restaurant reservations, organizing transportation, and even offering to book a driver for Naples. The food at the on-site restaurants was outstanding. We truly can’t wait to return!

Everything was perfect.

Had a great stay as normal, stayed in a smaller room than my lads trip but was nice with great view, very professional staff little expensive for a few bits dry cleaned but was done perfectly. Will defiantly go again soon.

Fantastic staff and concierge experience. My wife left her purse in Capri, and the hotel staff arranged for its safe transit from the resturaunt to our hotel. Next level service.

Only complaint - the door to our room was very thin, we could hear people whispering in the hall. But worth it to be in such a wonderful place!
