The hotel "looked" nice.

The were spider webs all over the room. A couple of lights were not working. The hotel is not an easy commute to main city especially if you have luggage and want to use public transport.

Excellent breakfast. Place has lots of charm. Room a bit outdated. Enjoyed walking along the lake.

Couldn't get reservation at restaurant...already booked for the night when we arrived. (But found great nearby restaurant.)

This is a beautiful property in a quiet neighborhood, just a short train ride from Lucerne. The rooms are nicely appointed. There is a charming library coffee room, and the lake front lawn area is a very relaxing and lovely space.

My toddler found a spent vape cartridge in the trash when we first got to the room.

Loved the room and the large windows, the bathroom was nice and spacious. Breakfast was really good.

The bed was really hard is my only complaint.

A bit old

The Hotel was very nice, clean, and the hotel staff were all friendly. Our group had two rooms; the room facing Lake Luzern was comfortable regarding the room temperature as it had an AC unit. The private view of the lake in the back of the hotel had plenty of lounge chairs, some tables and umbrellas, a nice view, as well as walk in access and ladder access to the lake.

Our group had two rooms; the room facing the parking lot was very hot. The only option to cool this room was to open the door in the evening and allow in mosquitos which subsequently did what mosquitos do… bite bite bite. Both rooms had very hard/firm beds. This is a matter of preference, but we all found them to be quite uncomfortable.

We had no air con. Our second room was the jaguar suite with a car in it! Kids liked it, parents not so much. Food not great

Location next to the lake, small swimming area and chalet for breakfast. Decor is fun for kids.

It’s a slightly odd pretend castle - not v authentic. Rooms were very hot at night despite fan. Restaurant was v expensive with limited options for children.

Very unusual medieval themed hotel with expansive grounds down to Lake Lucerne. Easy parking. Several good restaurants across street. Really enjoyed our stay there. Staff spoke good English.

Actually, nothing except a general observation that food and lodging in Switzerland are exorbitant relative to many other countries.

1.) Could have at least provide transport to and from the train station about 250m away(short but treacherously station is on a elevated ; with luggage it is a challenge to push it up n down.)2.) breakfast can be improved

The place takes care of you well. rooms are great wonderful to have high value coffee accessible.. they give you a mini bar in the room. Rooms are old style lock, and key.. lakefront views are phenomenal in the morning.

It’s a bit pricey, but they don’t hide from you the fact that you are staying in a luxury place.

Location, room comfort, bath robes and towels, complimentary daily water and coke mini bar, sauna and lake swim, coffee and tea lounge access 24hr, free parking, late check in/out, kind staff and customer oriented service. We'd be glad to return again.

The hotel was very comfortable, and right on Lake Lucerne. The receptionist was extremely helpful and went above and beyond in helping us deal with an issue with our train tickets.

Loved the character and atmosphere of the property - very cosy and friendly. Excellent sauna which is included in the price.

Too warm at night which made it difficult to sleep.Personally we feel that the breakfast is over priced.
