    Pros +

    • The Hotel staff was very helpful and professional. Great food
    • Location
    • Our room was on the bottom floor at the back of the property, completely shaded and near the L'Ille river. This was pretty and relaxing, but also created problems with the room. Everything was a little damp and moldy smelling all of the time, and opening the window and using the heater in the bathroom did not help. If we stayed here again, I'd ask for a room upstairs on the front side of the property. The staff and all the shared amenities were lovely.

    Cons -

    • Location was a little away from city
    • Floors were very dirty and not swept. Lots of garbage crumbs on the floor.
    • The room was pretty cramped and had that musty, old feeling to it. It could really use some carpet since the bare floor made it feel cold and unwelcoming. There were ants crawling around, which was gross, and cobwebs had built up on the window and under the table. The curtains were stained, too, which just added to the overall uncomfortable vibe. The only thing that was actually decent was the bed - at least that part was okay.

Moldy, stinky room with mold in the bathtub, and infrequent cleanings.

Crossants abd pastries at breakfast were excellent

Was advertised as having a restaurant open til 10.At 8:30 on arrival we were told we could have pizza or croque monsieur there and then or nothing.

Good value for money. Friendly staff and a nice, continental breakfast.

It's a budget, value for money hotel. You get what you pay for which was fine ??

    1EnoePosted on: 8-5-2024

What they advertise is not what you get . All my request were not met . I am not sure is it was due to language barrier but has lots of issues communicating with them . I sent email re rooms /etc but no emails recd . When I get there I found out no a/c which I needed due to my kids chronic asthma . I requested fans to perhaps help with air quality but was told no fans either . He told me I’d not happy I had until 8 to cancel . I checked all the rooms out they smelled musky they were not all clean & lots of mosquitoes. We were not even there for 15 mins and we were all biting my kids started to get heat rashes along with mosquito bites. I contacted other hotels and located 1 that did have amenities needed and canceled before 8 pm .

    Room needed cleaning and redecorating

The whole site needs updating and cleaning. We were not allowed inside the bar area in the evening to eat or drink, No food or drink was available to be purchased from the Campanile,.

Nice situation next to the River Ill. Beds were comfortable.

Unfortunately being next to the river meant mosquitoes. The window in our room was broken which meant the room was unsecured, so we had to put the shutters down to secure it. Despite there being a menu on the wall in Le Restaurant, and another guest was eating, we were told no food or drinks were available. We ordered a Dominoes pizza delivery to the hotel, but weren’t permitted to eat it in the restaurant or lounge area, so sat out on the terrace where we got bitten by the mosquitoes. It was generally a very tired hotel.

The staff were friendly and helpful especially with my velo. The dinner and breakfast were excellent

It was a little worn around the edges but clean and comfortable

    5CarmenPosted on: 4-2-2024

The staff at the reception are very helpful.Clean towels.Free parking

A maximum 2-star accommodation. We had the misfortune of traveling during the Catholic Easter, so the options were limited. In other conditions, most likely, we would not have chosen this accommodation. The room is very small, old, and the location is at the exit from Strasbourg. The quilts were stained and/or torn.

    Cheap

You can hear your neighbors breathing! So bad there was almost no wall between them and us! Bathroom facilities very old and non functional!

    5TertiaPosted on: 7-26-2023

If you just need a bed for the night and not looking for anything fancy this place is good value for money.

The furniture and bathrooms are dated and needs a redo. We booked 3 rooms and in the one the bathroom light wasnt working properly

    7DagmarPosted on: 5-10-2023

The accomodation was what we expected, it was very good lovation if you need just to stay overnight and do not want to go to the city center. Rooms vere clean, staff nice.

    3RoPosted on: 3-5-2023

Communication with the staff was good. The staff seemed friendly, but I can't imagine that they are themselves happy with the condition of this hotel. The pictures on their website do not meet the reality in any way.

We travelled from Swittzerland to the Netherlands, so we decided to stay overnight half-way the journey near Strasbourg. For the amount of 144 euro (including breakfast) we ordered two rooms: one for two guests and one for three guests. Both rooms were the same size, which was barely fine for two beds, but way too small for three beds. There was absolutely no space to walk. Although the rooms were clean, they were just very unpleasant to stay in. Very old and dated. Also the beds felt like sleeping on a rock. The breakfast was terrible. We opened a jar of jelly and there was a layer of fungus in it. When we told the staff, they just took the jar away and didn't replace it with a new one or appologize for it. The coffee machine made terrible coffee. We left as soon as we could and got some beakfast in the local supermarket. All in all it was a very disappointing experience, I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

    1. Parking space2. Staff3. Bathroom

    1. The wall looked dirty, but it needs a refresh.2. Broken details.3. In my opinion, the price should be 20-30% lower for what we got.

    3SusanPosted on: 9-7-2022

The food was very good we had breakfast and evening meal. We found the Receptionist on duty in the evening charming and cheerful.

We stayed at this Campanile on the outward and return journey. On the outward journey our room was basic but had no issues. However on return we had Room 28 and did not feel so clean.my husband repaired the hanging curtain, the bed was lumpy, the pillowcase were washed but yellow stains and wreaked of cigarettes smoke. Having driven for 8 hours we were too tired to upheave and request another room.

    8LauraPosted on: 6-16-2022

The room was very quiet and cool. There were tea and coffee making facilities in the room which was very welcome. The breakfast buffet was very good with plenty of choice and the meal in the restaurant in the evening was really good and value for money.

The decor was a little tired and the bath had several chips in it but was clean.

    6AnnePosted on: 5-30-2022

The priceThe staffWe could not hear other guests in other rooms

We booked 2 rooms for 3 persons: in fact they add a folding bed in the corridor hence it's almost impossible to reach the toilet. 10cm to pass... Same in both rooms.
