The hotel is located in a very beautiful and atmospheric area, close to the cliffs and the sea. The building itself is historic and charming, which adds to the overall experience of staying in Étretat. The room was warm and the bed was comfortable.

The Wi-Fi did not work in the room, although it was advertised as available. This was inconvenient, especially for planning and communication. In addition, the staff did not speak English, despite it being stated that English-speaking staff would be available, which made communication difficult.

    Location is great!

Wi-Fi was weak. Bathtub with a spray wand was a challenge.

    6FarmalPosted on: 8-15-2025

Perfect location, only 100 m from the beach. Garage parking available for 14.10 EUR per day which is great in a city wjere Parking is a massive problem

Staff doesnt understand or speak English so communication is a big hurdle. I was not told until check in about my parking location which was a big hassle. Breakfast fpr 12 EUR is not worth it.

The place itself is cery cozy, the atmosphere is unique.

This place is for one-two night stays. The room itself is old and if the first night would be interesting and nice, further nights would already feel uncomfortable due to very old building, room etc. Otherwise I would really recommend this place if you are staying for one night in Etretat.

The building itself is fabulous. Family room was well decorated and spacious.

Sleeper sofa mattresses uncomfortable. Pillows terrible in double room (16). Used no pillow at all.

The hotel was charming with a breakfast/dining room on the ground floor. Staff was very kind and helpful.

Since there was no elevator, it was a long climb to the third floor but the fact that it was quiet and had a great location made up for this inconvenience.

Wonderful hotel in the center of Etretat. Staff so friendly and helpful. Room very clean and comfortable in wonderful old charming building. Loved our stay.

My husband and I stayed there in March, and it was truly a step back in time. The building, with its charming half-timbered architecture, feels like a living piece of history. Every corner of the hotel exudes character and takes you on a journey to the past. The room was warm, clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.I must also mention the receptionist, who was absolutely wonderful. He was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and despite the language barrier, he went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. His warm attitude really made a difference in our stay.

I have no major complaints. The only downside was probably having just one shower for two floors. But this wasn’t a problem for us, as there weren’t many guests during our stay. Besides, for an old building, it’s quite natural.

Atmosphere was great, everything was clean and comfortable. Location is perfect

    10KláraPosted on: 4-9-2025

This place has such unique personality - the room was nice and clean with a ctreet view, the bed was a bit small for 2 people, but comfortable. The receptionists were really nice and friendly, we had the option to leave our bags there after check out.The hotel is right in the centre of the town, 2 minutes walk from everything.

Love the style of the building, and location.

Didn’t see the shower was out of the room before booking it. But still ok.

The staff was friendly and the room was warm and nice. Especially the room with bathtub was very comfortable. The location is also great

Super location really close to the beach and walking distance from free parking. Super nice staff especially the woman who cleans the room, she is very welcoming and attentive.

It didn’t start well when you arrive and it is written on the door to go to another hotel across the street for the check in (this should be communicated in advance). There, they charge me 8,8€ for my dog while I was told it was 8€. I don’t care about 0,80€ but I don’t get the 10% margin either. Then I didn’t know but my room was on 3rd floor, got no help with the luggage. When I got in all windows were open on a freezing day. I closed everything right away but the heating was not powerful enough to ever warm up the room, I was extremely cold all the time, I mean way below 20c. There is no heating in the bathroom whatsoever so I think it was below 15c the whole time. There is mold all around the shower, no mini fridge not even a kettle to make a warm tea. The services of this hotel are really basic. I can understand how they attract people (like me) with the beauty of the building, the history and location but I will definitely not be returning there although I go to Etretat multiple times a year. Also they don’t reply to messages on booking.com IM service - I had to chase them on their website for an answer.

I had the most wonderful time at this beautiful place! The stairs and outside are looking old and dated but the inside of the rooms in extremely nice and modern, i loved it!I loved that we could make the room very warm and had a great bathtub! The breakfast was very cute and nice!We only stayed one night but had a very very nice time

    Honestly it was perfect

The location is simply wonderful – everything is nearby, with easy access to attractions, cafes, and shops. It’s perfect for a peaceful getaway. The house impressed us with its architecture and historical details.

Unfortunately, there was a sewage smell in the room. After airing it out for a few hours, the odor disappeared. Additionally, the house has very poor sound insulation.

Comfortable and cozy room in a convenient, central location. The building has a quaint, historical atmosphere but still has modern facilities in the rooms.
