Hostel Rossio Alcobaça

It's a hostel but felt like a hotel. Also it's the best location, right in front of the Monestary.

Great location, very friendly reception staff, gave great advice on where to eat. The cleaning lady was so friendly and helpful!! Nice towels! They stored our bicycles for us in a safe place. Very clean. I would stay here again.

Central location, restaurants/cafes nearby, free parking can be found on streets behind the hostel. Good shared kitchen/terrace.

There is cafes right under the hostel with license to operate til 4am (at least on Friday/Saturday). The owner is trying her best to fight against this, and it can get noisy.

Fantastic location, friendly staff , cleanliness

We really liked this hostel. It's right in the middle of Alcobaca with the unbeatable views out of the window: we could see both the monastery and the castle out of the same window - amazing! The room was surprisingly big with a very comfy bed. The bathroom was also a very good size. The shower was hot with good pressure. Everything was clean - the cleaning lady is lovely and friendly. We appreciated the option to use the shared kitchen. The staff were all smiley and chatty. The parking was not a problem as we stayed at the weekend and street parking is free from 13:00 on Saturday. Would stay again!

Great hostel with a perfect location next to the cathedral.

The bed was quite small/narrow but the facilities were great otherwise.

Every space in the hostel was extremely clean and orderly. Checking in was great, and we were able to check in a little ahead of time. The location is ideal for all the sites.

Fabulous staff. Very accommodating with check-in, luggage storage and touring suggestions.

Not a hotel issue, but Monday morning traffic on the main street was bustling, very loudly :-0

The location was excellent, right in front of the main square. The host was really gentle and helpful. The room was very clean.

Very noisy from the street and also lots of doors slamming , people stomping and speaking loudly in the lobby at any hour of the day and night.The shared bathroom was not so clean, could do with some scrubbing and deep cleaning

The hotel is spotless! Very comfortable room with A/C, flowers, chocolates (!), TV with a lot of movie channels. 2 very clean bathrooms for 6 rooms. Clare was lovely! ...Very welcoming. Fantastic location. I could see the monastery from my window! Great value.

Other guests on the floor were there for a conference and milled about quite early 5:30, 6:30 in the morning. They were quite noisy -- but that is not the hostel's fault!

Everything was good. Room clean. Location perfect. But the sports bar under the hotel was horribly noisy until 4 am.

Sports bar under the hotel is open until 4 am and i's noisy as hell:( we couldn't sleep at all.
