    • Very pleasant stay.? Awesome breakfast!
    • Loved the thoughtful design touches and the attention to detail. The mattress was quite comfortable and the bedding high-quality. The shower was wonderful: large, clean, good water pressure, and high-quality shampoo and conditioner. The breakfast room was large, and the selection of foods was quite nice. This is a great location for people visiting the Monestary at Alcobaça who prefer to stay a little ways outside of town.
    • The breakfast was wonderful. The view was great and the hotel was nice.

    Cons -

    • Everything was wonderful, really. I can't think of a thing I didn't like. Parking was even convenient and the pool/spa area looked great, although I didn't have timme to use it on this visit.
    • My room had flickering lights or didn't work at all and the bed wasn't that comfortable to me.
    • Too many kids in the spa, couldn’t really enjoy myself because it was always noisy and the kids were splashing the water everywhere.I believe it would be a better experience if kids weren’t allowed in the spa. At least in the winter, since the outdoor pool isn’t proper. Maybe it could have a kids center, for the parents to leave the kids and go enjoy the spa. There, they would be entertained and there would be games and someone to watch over.

The food was really good, and the hotel and it’s atmosphere was very calming, except the spa.

Breakfast was really good, indoor swimming pool very nice and decent size and temperature and super nice schedules of closing and opening specially for parents with kids, that want to try enjoy it after bedtime.

I think the prices of clothes for swimming, because we forgot ours, was a bit too much, but other than that, everything was good

The location - the countryside, the cleanliness, the quietness, the view from the room's balcony, the breakfast and the kindness of the whole staff!

Very nice room, very big with a lounge área. The bed was really confortable. The pool and spa were really nice

    Very uncomfortable spa.

Check-in took 40 minutes. No AC on in the room before check-in, so it was around 90 degrees inside when we arrived at 5pm. Beds and pillows were extremely hard and uncomfortable compared to the other 5 hotels we stayed at around Portugal. Not spa like at all. Worst, and ironically, the most expensive stay on our entire 2 week trip.

Lovely contained villa, clean and tidy. Had a full length mirror with was great - you don’t get that very often sadly. Hotel its self was nice and clean.

The furniture outside our villa needed cleaning before use, covered in dirt and spider webs. We had to clean it down with the kitchen cloth etc. The breakfast in the hotel was very basic. Towels in the spa weren’t great quality and some of the lighting wasn’t working. The decking surrounding the outdoor swimming pool was very weather beaten, warped and sticking up, a massive trip hazard!

The staff is very helpful. The location is great. The SPA is open until 23:00

Bar was closes at 21h30 no meals AT all were available. Bar Walter was rude and close the bar during our check in. The FO gilrl was sorry about the attitude of the colleague of the bar.

    8JoaquimPosted on: 1-19-2024

As there were few guests at the hotel, the indoor pool was very good. The room is comfy! The staff was super nice! It is probably a great place to stay in the summer! (To use the huge gardens and outdoor pool)

It may be because the hotel had few guests but there weren’t some of the Bar foods available as there was no cook working on a specific day. Also the hot water wasn’t stable, always heating up and cooling down.. not great to bathe a baby. There isn’t a room to chill or play some games when it’s raining. The gym had 3 cardio machines and some Pilates balls.

    Not up to a 4-star

Insuficient and unexperienced staff.Queue for breakfast due to insuficient staff. Too much time to refill dishes and food.Spa not working 100%, the jacuzzi and turkish bath only working intermitently.Cold between the rooms and the spa.

    7VeronicaPosted on: 12-21-2023

The interior pool was nice, as well as the location and the garden

It felt like the hotel was half functioning, the sauna and hammam were off and we had to ask to switch them on, there were heating problems in one of the rooms, the breakfast room had electricity power issues, there was no personnel in the breakfast room and we had to call them a few times to have the coffee machine working

There is nothing wrong with the location and the external appearance.

When this hotel was build, in 2013, cheap materials were used and most painting was done in white. All modern and it surely was a nice hotel at the time when it opened. However, nowadays 10 years later, these cheap materials and white walls are no longer...... taps, toilets seats and other applications are loose or worse, missing. This supposed to be a 4 star hotel but stars are falling off. Furthermore the breakfast is very poor, with damaged tables, 220 volts extensions everywhere and the set up is not more than what you can expect in a budget hotel. This hotel has some real problems and maintenance and service are not solving anything. The feedback is all about the same and they are a repeating of all the problems. At the desk we claimed we could not hang the shower, no solution was found and after dinner (forget to stay for dinner is this hotel) we would expect for example a different room but surprisingly nobody was at the reception. This morning, when checking out, we claimed again and it was the same answers, sorry, we will correct it and here is a cheap small bottle of cherry liqueur, goodbye. Exactly, it's goodbye and we never return here.

Almost wild location, interior and exterior designs are nice. Rooms are clean. Massage service is not bad, very tidy.

Very poor breakfast. Additional fee for a robe in spa hotel, while I had massage booked.. Both robes of my friend and mine were torn… Pool is tiny, space of spa is far from enough.

The hotel was located in the country side near Alcobaca in the beautiful rolling hills. The building was newer contemporary design and very well appointed. We arrived to find that our room needed repairs so they kindly upgraded us to a small villa that was exceptional.

We really can’t complain but to be a bit picky the breakfast was not to par with the rest of the place and the workout room of three units needed updating. That said we would stay here again in the future.
