What I expected . Lovely hotel , friendly staff. Was charged wrong amount. Called day after checkout and was fixed right away . The tv in the room was horrible and lagged and very limited .

I liked how very welcoming everyone was and how the staff really made you felt at home. After driving 5 hours to get to there I was really tired and cranky and they were great to change my mood. Management should be proud of their staff

The room wasn't quite as clean as I expected. A lot of rust spots at the shower curtains, dust on the tops of the lamps at the beds and the television which didn't have a remote had lots of dust behind it.The resident bar was closed by 12 and it's the 1st time I've seen this with a hotel as a lot of them would stay open for residents till at least 2 maybe 3 in the morning.The breakfast (although still satisfying) I didn't like how I had to keep chasing a staff member to get a mug for coffee as I asked for it. Usually a coffee machine is there to make you a coffee like in Clayton hotels as an example. It was also the same case for ordering beans. The chefs had to make them up in the back which I thought was quite strangeThe toaster didn't drop the toast all the way to the front and you had to pull the tray to get your toast.

Lovely 1 night stay with a group of friends. Rooms were very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was great. Staff were very nice.

The staff are friendly and the room very clean had a good night sleep wish I could have the bed and the bedding and nice and relaxing stay I be back again

Loved the staff at both Hotel and Bistro. This made our stay very nice. The scent when you walked in was very inviting. The room was nice and the bathtub was large and lovely.

The cream was dirty during breakfast. The shower doors didn't close correctly and we asked them to open the shampoo as it was still sealed in the holder.

Food and employees were great!!!!

Needed more pillows.

I loved almost everything about this stay. The staff were brilliant, the food was lovely, loved the pool and the room was beautiful.

The only thing I didn't like wasn't the staff's fault or to due with the hotel itself. Some people in a neighboring room were very aggressive and loud which prevented me and my fiance from fully enjoying our stay. Other than that everything was perfect.

Nice size room and bathroom. Temperature control easy to use and very responsive. Very good quality towels (one of my markers for good rating). Staff in Oriel bar/bistro very accommodating, very attentive though clearly very busy. Full marks to them.

Only had breakfast on one of the 3 days we stayed. Unimpressed with fried eggs (rubbery) and scrambled eggs (not very moist). One of us asked for poached eggs. Arrived looking nice but very undercooked inside, both white and yolk extremely runny. Waiter saw and insisted in getting more done, which were fine. Toaster the usual useless, underdone on first run through, too dark on second. Not much storage in bedroom, not sure where we would have put clothes if staying a whole week, for example. Angle of fixed shower head meant either getting in shower with cold water till it heated or running with doors partly open so floor got wet ! Limited space in shower would be improved if soap and shampoo put on back wall instead of side. No-one on reception when we arrived around 9pm and no bell or buzzer to call them. Other than that, reception staff very friendly and helpful

Understaffed at bar and at breakfast in morning a lot of waiting for orders to be taken and food to be served. Not very well managed in the bar

Food was lovely. We had an evening meal and breakfast. All staff were very friendly and helpful.

Over all stay was very nice. Staff were lovely and we really enjoyed the pool. Breakfast was really good and a good variety.

The bathroom in our room could have done with a better clean you could tell it was just a quick clean from the bits of dirt in the sink and bath.

Staff were amazing and very welcoming. Food was great. Location was perfect.

Bathroom needed slight upgrade 2 out of 3 rooms experienced e.g. ceiling, space, mold in shower door.

Lovely hotel, in a nice quiet location. The staff were lovely, even if the bar service was slow (common to many hotels). Great value, really clean, I'd stay again.

The food! I got fish & chips and my partner got curry, both seemed to have come out of a packet. Hard chips, tasteless and hard fish and a miserable curry. It let this lovely hotel down.

Mentioned it before, their heating system doesn't work (air blower)A relation unbeknowst to me had also booked in on my last night. By the time I had met them they'd already phoned reception for someone to come a fix the heating in their room

Lovely decor & Xmas decorations.Nice size rooms.Comfortable pillows.Good lighting.Liked the water stations.

Breakfast was chaotic. Staff didn’t seem to know what they were doing.No hash browns & the toaster didn’t work properly.I had no towel rail in my bathroom. It had been ripped off the wall.
