Hotel Corona de Atarfe

Great price, friendly reception. Close to the theater. spacious bathroom. Firm bed.

The walls are very thin. We could hear everyone and everything. Tables being moved, clients in the cafe, the guy with a cold next door…. I imagine everyone could hear our flushing, shower, podcasts as well when we arrived at two in the morning. There’s one very nice large pillow for two. However, my wife doesn’t sleep well with pillows so that mean I couldn’t sleep with a pillow because it was too large to fold or put only on my side of the bed.

There was no breakfast or any food available even though it showed dining tables and chairs… the only service was a bakery next door that never opened till very late and a bar ! So no morning coffee ?

When we arrived keys were given to us and while collecting our case from the car the staff got in his car and drove away before we could ask question regarding where we could eat etc.There was nobody about to speak to.

We spent one night in Atarfe for a wedding, and this was a good choice for one night. Nice bakery downstairs with coffee machine for breakfast. Easy to park nearby.

The room was a little small, with the small double bed up against the wall so one person had to "climb in", but no major problem for us. A little noisy at night but you expect that in this kind of hotel. The other wedding guests who stayed at a hotel nearby were kept awake all night by another wedding so I think in the end we had the best of it!

The area was fine

No staff at reception during the day and had to wait for an hour . Communicating in English with the staff is a pain. No breakfast or restaurants operating.
