Hotel Bajamar Ancladero Playa

Location was great . About a 15 minutes walk to a large major grocer store. 10 minutes or less through the private secured garden to the beach.

Rooms are nice, very clean and bed was comfortable

Facilities very limited. No balcony. There is a snack bar next door which closes at 8pm. There is a nice pool but if you want a sunbed you will be charged 4 euros per day. I’ve never known this - that the place where you are staying charges you extra for sun beds! You need a token to access the pool area and this will be checked by the pool police! Not exactly what you want on your hols.

Out of season, facilities described on booking.com are not available. Cafe next door closed, restaurant next door closed and for sale. It's hard to find in daylight, but god knows in darkness, so location not great. No face to face contact, lock up and leave.

Comfortable,clean hotel.Nice location- 10minute walk to beach - lots of steps!!!Took us awhile for us to understand the map giving directions to the lift to the beach.

No restaurant in the Hotel. But a nice friendly cafe next door. A good full English breakfast.

Hotel a bit isolated from Nerja. A 30 minute walk to the Balcon de Europe. Lots of stairs. Not suitable for a person with mobility problems.Hotel did not have a Kettle , therefore no facility to make a hot drink in the room .

Staff when you could find one no staff after 6 pm loli was lovely and the cleaning lady very helpful

Exceptionally Quiet & Spotless Hotel. Great Value.

Only downside was the trek to the beach & restaurants. Completely NOT suitable for those who have difficulties walking. Without transport there are two options. 7 min walk down a very steep road & 15 minute climb back up. Second option is through a gated passageway which includes 186 steps to the beach.

Spotlessly clean. Lovely setting and quiet area. Excellent pool area and great staff at the pool bar/cafe attached. Very relaxing.Room was a decent size and the window looked out over the pool and the sea. Modern decor and spacious bathroom. The lady occasionally at the reception was very friendly. Kept fit up and down the 165 ish steep steps to the beach, or very steep slope if stairs are too much.

Just a couple of suggestions. Lack of surfaces to put anything down or anywhere to hang wet towels/clothes etc, ended up hanging things over the bars on the windows. (Pull out clothesline in bathroom wasn't usable) a minor inconvenience but easily solved with some hooks and a couple of shelves in the room. Nowhere to buy or make a coffee/drink apart from when pool bar is open (closes at 7pm and closed all day Sunday) a hot and/or cold drink vending machine would be great, as the hike up and down the stairs to the nearest shop/cafe is a bit of an effort just to get a morning cuppa. Sunbeds at the pool are 4 euro each per day, but unavailable when the pool bar is closed all day Sunday. I understand that the card operated electricity is preventing waste, however we ensured all lights and air conditioning were off whenever we left the room but when returning at night the cleaners had removed the card so the small fridge was also off and the water/drinks we'd hiked up the stairs in the morning from the shop had gone warm. Anyone not relatively fit and agile would not manage the stairs to the beach and back, nor is it a suitable route for young children. The lift only saves one flight, there are still a lot to climb. There is someone at reception occasionally in the daytime but generally there is no one around and just a phone number for any problems but if you accidentally locked yourself out of your room or in the pool area without a phone you'd be hard pushed getting help. It was impossible to get a taxi out to the area. We tried uber several times and phoning a cab company direct and even asked the pool bar staff to call for us and waited at the taxi rank at the end of the beach twice but never managed to get one.

Spotless room, with really helpful staff. Quiet location and short walk down the hill to a fantastic selection of beach restaurants and bars.

The views are stunning, clean, easy access, great pool with a cafeteria/bar perfect to spend the day and get snacks without going anywhere outside. The staff are amazing people, very helpful and attentive, the room great size, clean and comfortable.

Water pipes made loud noises, we had to pay for a sunbed each day. The room was tiny for a family room

Room was cosey and bathroom was very nice, shower was powerful.

It doesn’t say on the advert for the hotel that the pool area is not ran by the hotel and you have to pay 4 Euros per sunbed

Lovely little hotel in stunning grounds. Simple and stylish room, very friendly staff, good food and nice pool. Would definitely come again. Great location for access to Burriana and Nerja.

The location was a bit hidden but we had a key to reach the beach with an elevator and a beautiful walk through a cute garden.

Lovely spacious room and very comfortable bed. The air conditioning was really good too. Friendly staff, really nice pool and cafe/bar. Short taxi ride to the Balcon area with its many bars and restaurants.

Hair dryer in bathroom only worked at low power. Had to pay for sunbeds. Steep decent to the beach although through pretty garden areas and a lift for part of the way.

The Hotel was quiet and clean and a good location but be aware there are quite a few steps to the beach, lovey walk down past the Lagoon

I didn’t like there no Reception to speak to to get clean towels if you need them to borrow an iron just someone that you can ask questions there was no one there for the four days we stayed

Walk to the beach, steps. Easy check in. Room was ideal

When we were checking out, we had a 2 hour wait to go to the airport and we were not allowed to sit by the pool as we had checked out. We had to leave the property. I found this very strange and unhelpful as we were not in walking distance of anywhere else.
