Breakfast was fine, the room was spacious having only a queen bed in it (as we requested). The man at the desk was helpful, taking the time to understand my American accent and what I was requesting. NICE TV!

It was clean and staff was kind and helpful. The water park was closed but we went to the arcade and used one of the fire pits and that was fun and relaxing.

The mattresses must be new as they are firm - just the way I like them! Booked this hotel for price/location. Just somewhere to sleep for the night.

The location of this hotel was the reason I chose this hotel since i had never been to lacrosse the location and view of the river were important. The view of the river was blocked by a large semi trailer parked between the hotel and the river.
Great bartender, check-in gallery was the best. I liked the Mgr gal asking about our room
View of the river from the room. Location to downtown. High quality and friendliness of hotel staff.

Very nice place, very accommodating staff in every way. Helped us out on a Sunday evening when we got stranded across town and couldn't get an UBER or LYFT back to the hotel. Gave good recommendations "to do". Great continental breakfast
Location to convention center and dining/shopping.
Hotel employee at the front desk, was amazing. He remembered my name, anticipated my needs ahead of time, and made me feel like VIP. His professional behavior and gracious demeanor make my stay exquisite. I will definitely come back as long as he¿s there.

Top Tips
- Book 2–6 weeks ahead for summer weekends (April–October). Demand may rise by up to 30% during major events like Sparta Butterfest. For event dates, check the local tourism site.
- Ask the hotel to confirm if indoor, lockable bike storage is available and whether a basic pump or nearby repair shop can be accessed. Not all Sparta properties cater to cyclists, so verify this when reserving if bringing your own bike.
- For arrivals after 21:00, confirm if late or keyless check-in is possible, since most independent motels and B&Bs in Sparta do not staff 24-hour front desks.
- Request an indoor or covered parking spot if traveling November–March. While about 90% of Sparta hotels offer free onsite parking, only a few provide covered stalls to limit snow or ice exposure.
- If remote work is essential, ask for recent Wi-Fi speed details and request a quiet room away from high-traffic areas. Smaller hotels may deliver download speeds ranging from 5–25 Mbps.
- Check your route from La Crosse Regional Airport (about 28 miles) and the nearest emergency room (Mayo Clinic Health System in Sparta), as major airports and hospitals are outside city limits.
- Choose a hotel within 0.5 miles (10-minute walk) of the Sparta trailhead for convenient same-day biking access to the 32.5-mile Elroy-Sparta State Trail.
