The location was great, but it was only for those with a car. Cleanness was so good. The staff were nice.

I stayed at this hotel for one night and expected a higher standard of basic amenities from a four-star property. Unfortunately, there was no shampoo in the shower and no hand soap in the bathroom, which was quite surprising. There was also no toothpaste provided. These are essential items that guests reasonably expect, and I hope the hotel will address this issue to improve the overall guest experience.

WiFi stopped working after my first night (Monday) which meant I wasn't able to join some business calls for the remainder of my stay. Staff weren't able to fix it and It was still not working when I left on Thursday morning. No English language alternative on Television without WiFi.

Beds and pillows too soft for our taste. I was disappointed with the linens for the baby bed as it was worn and scratchy. Our shower door also leaked.

Breakfast does not come close to value for money. We have paid less for much crispier bread and more choice in other German hotels.

Surrounded by nature, it's a beautiful hotel in a beautiful location. We particularly felt well taken care of by the staff and the owner's dog, Karl, who was delightfully friendly.

Breakfast in the room, would have been nice, as my mum has mobility issues which keeps her away from the buffet.

We spent 3 nights and I hardly slept the second night, right before a very important day for me. Some people were moving furniture starting from midnight until the early hours of the morning, loudly talking to each other. It seemed there were in one of the rooms above or below. I tried calling the reception twice, no answer. An hour later, when I was trying to go back to sleep I got a call and there was no answer on the other side. I later found out from the reception that these people had been moving the patio furniture the whole night right in front of our windows, on the the hotel patio!!!The receptionist apologised for the trouble caused and did not charge us for the breakfast that morning.The mattrasses in the rooms are the cheapest or the worst I've seen in my trips for the past years. The rooms are very outdated, you can hardly find any electric sockets near the bed, and if you find any, they would be right behind your pillow.

The breakfast was splendid, the room was nice and very clean. Especially the bed was very comfortable. The location is very nice as well. We had been in this hotel about two years before, we came the second time and thought we would know what to expect. The restaurant in the evening provides some delicious dishes which we enjoyed.

We stayed for a week. On booking.com the room was offered to be bigger than it actually was. Furthermore it was announced to be 4star with bathrobes and toiletries. These were actually not offered when we arrived with the exception of wall mounted washing gel. Then after request we got bathrobes "free of charge" on the second day of our stay. At the reception when checking out we were told that the high price (>150Euros) reflected the local price level because of a fair in Dusseldorf. To make exact planning of travel possible the page on booking.com should show opening hours of the restaurant, especially state on which days in the week it is closed.

They skipped to re clean the room and I arrive in the evening of the second day with room like i left in the morning. Room very old need to be refurbished. Door of shower licking water going out in the bathroom floor

the property is beautiful, vintage. it is a bit away from the city. so those who have travelled for work, may find it is away from the main area of the city. good for the couples who look for their own time and no disturbance.
