    • Restaurant seems tired - menus ripped and covered with food scraps - food fairly basicNo air conditioning in bedrooms and it stayed 24 degrees in room overnight so we didn’t sleep much
    • Nothing it’s fantastic
    • A few wasps around which made sitting on the balcony a bit uncomfortable while eating.

Beautifully appointed. Very comfortable rooms. Fantastic services and spaces. Loved the sunset bar.

Everything was mostly excellent except it appeared to be a little understaffed. I.e person managing tastings meant our group waited about 45 minutes after booking time to be served. A little frustrating as we had been told at the time of booking there were no later times. Our dinner service staff were lovely but a number of miscommunications and a staffing change over mid service was unusual.

Great location, staff and facilities. The pool was the perfect temperature. The Mitchelton Gallery of Aboriginal Art is something you don't want to miss.

The pool can get busy, but there is plenty of room for all.

The staff went above and beyond, facilities were excellent

The Muse restaurant was a bit disappointing

Gorgeous location and hotel. Loved the pool.

Gym needs some investment - old machines and very little equipment

Calm quiet location with riverside and kangaroos!Very pleasant vineyard.Enjoyed riding the e-bikes around the property.

Would have appreciated more covered parking.Unfortunately all the Spa treatments were fully booked, but that was our mistake as it was peak holiday time.

aettings of green vines, bushland, Goulburn River is very relaxing & peaceful, exactly what we needed for a few days

the expresso coffee machine in the room is not great, lukewarm terrible taste coffee drips out, not to mention only 2 coffee pods were provided (1 each cup).

    8AnnaPosted on: 9-28-2024

It was great to be so self contained that we didn’t need to leave. It was peaceful and luxurious.

The heating in the room was not able to be adjusted without calling reception. Both nights we struggled with sleeping and had to call during the night to have the heating turned down even though we requested it during the day.

Onsite restaurants, beautifully appointed rooms, cellar door onsite, everything was beautiful!

Wine tasting was a tiny bit lacklustre but ok otherwise

Very hard to find fault in anything. The rooms were perfect, great bed, quiet, fantastic view and everything we needed. Really well thought out.Restaurant meals were great value, and the service was excellent. Wandering around the grounds was lovely, just perfect for a quiet relaxing weekend.

The only annoyance I had was not being able to get a coffee before 8 am

Lovely location, not far from the town of nagambie to allow exploring the lake and brewery as well as Mitchelton wines on site, and Tahbilk just down the road. We attended for a wedding and the setting was lovely.

We probably wouldn’t stay again due to cost, it was a splurge for a special occasion (friends wedding). Some freestanding lamps in the room would allow easier lighting to read and do makeup. Overhead light was a bit bright for bedtime reading.

Beautiful surrounds! Very attentive staff. Shiraz on arrival was a nice touch. Very clean rooms

Little things about the room, for the cost of the room I expected more, eg. Restocking toiletries (showercap) and milk in the fridge etc… just those things you’d expect from a hotel with this price point

I liked that you didn't have to travel out of the winery, there was a pool, restaurant and Cafe, room service, tower with bar and viewing platform (awesome sunset view), e bikes to borrow.

The insects, I got a few bites but obviously not at the fault of the hotel.

    9CheralynPosted on: 4-2-2024

Location and how it is set around the Goulburn River is just beautiful.

Ensuite layout could improve. From more room to having some bench space. Bedroom could also have a comfortable couch rather than the 2 chairs.

    9ClairePosted on: 4-1-2024

I feel my feedback on the breakfast would be rather subjective and not a true representation of an objective review, so it could be considered unfair. EG. my coffee was served too cool for my liking. The type of bread used for my toast was quite stodgy.

Nothing, I loved my stay and I would love to come back.

We have stayed at Mitchelton Hotel twice before and this time was just as enjoyable. It was out first time with a baby but the staff were lovely, the room was spacious and easily fit our Porta cot with room for play, and the pool was amazing with the weather we had. The views, the river, the restaurants, the wine, the spa. Mitchelton hotel literally has it all.

We would have loved a microwave to be able to heat our baby's food easily, and our room had a slightly damp smell that didn't go away even with airing.

Amazing , we didn’t have to leave the property which was amazing , from massages - lunch at the cafe , to dinner - wine tasting - pool & art gallery. This was the best hotel we have stayed in. So relaxing , rooms were lovely . We will defiently return.

    Not a thing

Champagne on arrival was a nice and un-expected touch. The rooms are nice, plenty of features, the hotel has a pool also, and it feels modern. The pool is heated too (well it was warm so I assume it was). Would stay there again for sure.

The only downside was limited parking under cover. I never had trouble finding a parking spot, however the undercover ones fill up quick, which was only a problem as it was summer and hot when we went there so the car was out in the sun. If it was cooler it wouldn't be so much of a problem. Just gotta find an undercover spot and not move.
