    • Staff, rooms, bar.

    Cons -

    • Sink plug stuck, hair dryer on wall didn’t work.
    • At a certain point during my shower the water went cold. After a long day on the battlefield, it was a bit disappointing to rinse my hair with cold water in February.

Beautiful hotel with spacious rooms. We truly enjoyed our stay and would absolutely stay here again. Breakfast was delicious and the staff were incredibly accommodating.

An old building brought up to modern standards. Very pleasant staff. Breakfast was very good. Bar is small, but we were there in February and in the summer it might be outside and less limited. The story of the place is great- it used to be a boys boarding school closed for a long time and a local guy bought it from the city and brought it up to modern standards. The first night we were there an alumnus (a local) was there with his wife for his anniversaire. He remembered it fondly, though he said the bath water was always cold.....

At a certain point during my shower the water went cold. After a long day on the battlefield, it was a bit disappointing to rinse my hair with cold water in February.

What a delightful place. An old school converted into luxury rooms at affordable prices.Very attentive staff. We got upgraded as a suprise.Lovely location near the town & cathedral, just a sort walk away.Perfect location for visiting the Bayeux War Cemetery, which was our main reason for visiting the area.

    Absolutely nothing

The location was within walking distance of all the places we wanted to see.

The room was very small and there was nothing special about the hotel. We were charged 20 EURO per night for parking which I thought was a bit steep since there was ample parking on site.

    8TomPosted on: 10-4-2024

Staff was very friendly and went out of their way on any request. Great private parking location just outside of room.

Room seemed a bit bare. Maybe add a rug and some chairs.

This property is very well located and easy to walk for any sightseeing or restaurants. There is parking on-site which is needed in a busy town like Bayeux. The bedroom was large as was the bathroom which had a very big walk in shower and nice big windows. There is a a lot of natural light not only in the room, but also the bathroom. The staff are very accommodating and helpful and seemed to be always available. They assisted with dinner reservations and recommendations.

We booked last minute, so that may account for the price, but it seemed quite high for 2 nights ($1000 USD). However, this was one of the nicest rooms/bathrooms we had during our 2 weeks in France, so the pricing may be in line with higher quality accommodations.

Excellent location. Lovely room. Very helpful, friendly staff.

Breakfast was ok but definitely not worth 20 Euros.

    9KathrynPosted on: 8-15-2024

Breakfast was fabulous and healthy, not just breads and pastries but plenty of those too! Staff was attentive and friendly. Cleaning person was terrific, cleaned right away as soon as we left our rooms for the day. Loved the outdoor patio! Enjoyed drinks on the patio many nights. Staff helped us with dinner reservations. Everything in the hotel and the hotel rooms seemed brand new and well kept up.

Lovely four star hotel in a converted 19th century school with a large courtyard. Modern facilities, quiet, and an excellent location for walking to the old town. Breakfast was great. A bit pricey but lovely.

We were warmly welcomed at this 4* hotel converted boys school building where the classroom or dormitories have been transformed into very spacious, well appointed bedrooms. Our room on the first floor had tall windows overlooking gardens, nearby church and parts of the city including in the distance the famous Bayeux Notre Dame Cathedral. The bathroom was large, with a proper massive walk in shower. The breakfast was excellent comprising both traditional continental, other hot breakfast items, fruits and plenty of bread, pastries and cakes. Highly recommended this hotel as a base to explore the Normandy D Day landing beaches and history.

Felt like a small bed and breakfest. Warmly greeted pleasant stay willing to help you in any manner. Even called us a taxi. Highly recommend. Thank you for providing our family a great stay in Normandia

Nothing that I can say. Even the weather was great.

We really didn't know what to expect but were delightfully surprised with the quaint accomodations. The staff was so friendly and lovely. They made several dinner reservations for us and helped us with directions. The hotel is so quaint as is the town. Would definitely stay there again if in the area.

    10MonicaPosted on: 4-26-2024

The staff was extremely welcoming and helpful. The location has alot of history and has been restored to serve as a hotel. I would stay here again.

    9MargaretPosted on: 4-16-2024

Breakfast was excellent.Quiche was delicious and baked goods were very tasty.Even the orange juice was better than Florida!

    10stevenPosted on: 4-13-2024

The hostess was very helpful and made us feel very welcome. I think her name was Alex. She let us leave our bags in the office so we could go get a bite to eat after we checked out. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was very roomy. The walk out to the street had lovely flowers down to the gate. The breakfast was very nice, they always remembered I was gluten intolerant although the bread here doesn't bother me at all. We will totally recommend this hotel to anyone. Thank you very much!

The only thing that could have made it any better would be a pet cow. I love cows!
