    Cons -

    • Room was on the small side. Shower was really small and cramped even for one person. Is was difficult to keep the shower doors completely closed.
    • No issues but I can foresee parking being a challenge during peak season.
    • Old. Tiny room. No elevator.

The location of this hotel was great and the staff was very warm & welcoming. Couldn't ask for a better place! Note, this is not your typical cookie cutter chain hotel but a very charming building with history. Has staircase and character.

No issues but I can foresee parking being a challenge during peak season.

I liked how many attractions of the town were literally 5-10 mins walking distance. The town is so nice and quaint. Would definitely come back and stay there. Restaurants were literally behind our hotel. The owner of hotel greeted us and was so nice.

The only problem I had was that at times there was no hot water! We had to actually wait for someone to stop taking shower and then get in. That's the only bad thing .

The hotel was very easy to find in walking distance from the train station. It was centrally located to all the best stuff in Bayeux. We had a great stay!

The staff was welcoming-very friendly, helpful, and seemed to be genuinely glad that we were there to enjoy their town! The appearance/decor and room size were very appealing. Having an enclosed bathroom shower and bright modern bathroom was great!

Being the one to clean in my own home, I noticed that the bathroom floor felt sticky and there was a little bit of pink/orange-beginning of mold in a few corners. Probably those were things that most people wouldn't notice. Cleanliness was fine else

Very helpful nice man at the desk in the evening. Very nice lady at breakfast. Great location

That we had to haul our luggage 2 blocks away and up 2 flights of stairs. Luckily there is free parking in august or it woul have been expensive

The staff was very welcoming and warm. Location is great adjacent to cute shops and restaurants. Has a nice breakfast room and gift shop.

Room was dark, old and outdated. Mattresses and linens looked used and worn. Not much parking.

    Free shuttle to the airport.

We had to change rooms because the original room reeked of cigarettes.

Center of town location excellent. Nearby and convenient to the tour pickup location. Staff very friendly and helpful. I was able to check in very late in the evening without any problems. I loved the historic feel and appearance of the Churchill, as well as the name. Great hotel for a good night's sleep too.

Nice breakfast served each morning which was easy. Close to pickup for tour. And bar for the evening. Staff lovely and gracious.

I did not enjoy the room door needing a key to open from the inside. Seems like a safety concern. But that could be a normal France/ European way.

Excellent customer service from all the staff. Mattieu drove a group to Mont Saint Michel - excellent! The breakfast service is excellent along with a good variety to select. Love the scramble eggs.

Room was a little dark and pillows hard. Location and staff were great. Breakfast was not good so we went out after first morning

Better and less expensive breakfast. Have an omelette bar at those breakfast prices. Would like free coffee and tea 24/7?first guests

I was in town for a tour of the Beaches of Normandy. The hotel was walkable from the train station. There were plenty of restaurant opportunities close. It was a great experience.

The stairway to the room was a little steep

Exceptional location in town. Very kind staff, delicious breakfast options.

Room was cozy and comfortable.Staff was amazing - especially the young man working front desk. Helped with bags, recommended restaurants.

No Lift/Elevator.No hot water - took lukewarm showers at best for both days I was there.Coffee Machine - one was down, long wait. Hot water for tea just not hot enough.

    10kathrynPosted on: 10-4-2025

The location was central and we could walk to everything, including the (paid) car park where we could leave the car on the hotel's doorstep. Not a problem it being paid - we knew this was the case in Bayeux. Not much parking space, it being a medieval city! The greeting we received was warm and genuine. Breakfast was great and allowed for an early start in the morning, There was a patio outside where we ate the remains of our daytime picnic for dinner one night accompanied by a glass of wine or two from the hotels's bar. Very relaxing after a big day and so convenient. (there was a small grocer literally next door to the hotel to stock up on picnic supplies if you are heading out for the day ). Even though we had a car, we booked the shuttle to Mt St Michel and it was a very easy and relaxing way to travel. It was operated by the hotel and left from the door.

    Nothing! It was great.
