    Pros +

    • It’s in a lovely town. The property is modest but clean and comfortable.
    • The location was great for seeing Château De Fontainebleau, and the reception was very friendly and helpful.
    • In a quiet alley.

    Cons -

    • Parking was difficult and the room was small.
    • The bathroom was in need of some minor repairs, but it and the room were very clean.
    • We have been cycling in France for a month and this is the most unclean place we have stayed in. The bed sheet had stains and was dusty. They let us store our e-bikes in the storage where their garbage cans were and we woke up to see our handle bar rubber, the bike computer controller were chewed up badly by mice which left big holes and the circuit board exposed. There were also holes everywhere on our saddle bag and rack bag that we left on with the bike overnight. In addition, we filled one water bottle with their drinking machine, and the bottle has gotten pretty badly moldy inside the day after, while the other water bottle we had filled with tab water from the previous hotel was totally fine. This has never happened in our month long bike trip. I think either their drinking machine hasn’t been cleaned or the water source was contaminated. The worst is we had already drank half bottle of that water without knowing it… In short, be aware of the hygiene problem, and don’t take your bikes here.

    Location is good.

You cannot check in until 4 pm even to drop bags! They have a phone number to call but don’t answer it. This is not on their website. I had to sit in a nearby restaurant waiting for them to open. There is no AC.

We are traveling by bicycle and the staff was kind enough to store our bike securely during our stay. They also recommended a good restaurant for dinner.

An electric kettle and USB port in rooms would be very nice.

I showed up but it turned out to be without an elevator (which they told me twice they do have one on the phone), forcing me to make another booking eventually as I have more than three large luggages and couldn’t carry them through the stairs. (Which is why I need to ensure there’s an elevator).

Very central in Fontainebleau yet quiet.Very comfortable bed and bedding.Splendid French breakfast!Traditional French Hotel nicely modernized.

    7GerdesPosted on: 9-2-2024

The room was very clean and comfortable and close to restaurants and shopping.

There is no parking for the hotel check in. I did not see the sign explaining to schedule breakfast when you checked in.

Very well presented rooms, very clean, easy access. The location is superb.

Parking is a bit of an issue, not the hotel's fault, it's just a feature of staying in a Mediaeval town.

    nice hosts, pleasant breakfast

little too far to find a parking

    Location and availability

Reception only in the evening No elevator

Small room, but typical for France. Mattress was uncomfortable. Central location, easy to get in/out, guidance from the staff on access

Difficult to communicate - it’s more of a bed & breakfast than a hotel, staff is on & off, poor English skills.

    8JamesPosted on: 5-1-2024

Very conveniently located in the heart of the town near the chateau and park

    7SofiaPosted on: 4-24-2024

Centrally located, basic but very clean and sufficiently spacious, with a very comfortable bed and a modern bathroom, with friendly staff. Good value for money.

Only open from 4 to 7 pm for checking, so had to carry my travel bag around from arriving in the morning until the afternoon. Had trouble starting the A/C in heating mode on a rather cold night and no one obvious to ask for help.

    location

could not access the hotel —-not even to drop a bag —until 4pm!!!! They kick you out at 11.30 in morning. I missed a church weddding because of this and could only go to the reception

The hotel haas a garage where we could park our bicycles. We were able to leave our luggage for the day and when we returned found they had delivers the bags up the stairs for us.

    Good location

Small bedroom, terrible pillows, no air conditioner, no window blackouts. Not clean.
