Hotel Golden Lake Resort

Very nice hotel, clean , staff friendly. Good breakfast .everything was good.

It bothers me that there is no coffee machine in the rooms. There is no normal coffee in the rooms.

It is really very comfy hotel.Nice managed.Great dinner. Good breakfast.Nice SPA.Elegant design. Focus on eye-catching small details.

The spa was great, staff was great all around

The AC didnt really seem to work in the room, very weak and not cooling.

Shower water color brown, handle broken. They sell Tooth paste and brush. Asked water, receptionist answered ‘ you can drink tap water.’ Dinner very poor. Neighbor bars and disco very loudly. Wellness center one of the worst in Hungary.

The staff, Peter (night) and Maria (day) were very nice. There was a USB port near each side of the bed.

The shower was tiny: my husband was afraid if he dropped the soap (which we brought) he would not be able to pick it up. No soap, shampoo or conditioner was provided. We were only given 2 bath towels and one hand towel. Unlike the nearby Larum hotel, there were no screens on the windows or balcony door so the hordes of light colored flying insects (among others) entered easily (many were squashed on the sheer curtains by others). We had a premium panoramic corner room, but the hotel’s air conditioning was out. We were not given the option to cancel and spent one hot, sleepless night with temperatures in the room ranging from 29 to 31 degrees Celsius (the fan the hotel gave us had a temperature gauge (see photos)). After learning at 11 am the next day (past checkout time) that the replacement part was in Italy and would not arrive during our stay, we had to negotiate with the hotel to let us out of a 4 night contract by agreeing to pay for the first 2 nights even though we only stayed one night (we fled to the nearby Larum) They did agree to only charge us for one day of parking - how generous.

Spa is amazing, staff was really nice and helpful, view is great!

I think it’s time to change the towels as they are stained and it doesn’t give the most clean feeling but regardless of that we’ll come back here

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. The breakfast options were great, offering a variety of delicious choices to start the day. The hotel itself was very clean, and the attention to detail was evident throughout our stay. The location was perfect, with easy access to nearby attractions.

However, we did notice that the hotel was busier over the weekend, which made it a bit less relaxing than we'd hoped. Overall, we highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again!

the receptionist and people in the restaurant are attentive. it’s quite in the winter time. So we could get good rest. massage was good also.

The hotel Golden Lake is a lovely hotel to stay, right in the marina complex, surrounded by cafes, shops and good restaurants. The room was of a good size with a comfortable bed and decent sized bathroom. Breakfast was good, with a nice selection of various foods to choose. The spa is also well equipped with a nice sized indoor pool, and another unheated outside pool. There is also a good sized underground car park. We enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it to others.

Bad internet, no water

After we had some issues with our hotel room and changed it multiple times (loud AC, WiFi not working etc), the night staff was very friendly and helpful and helped us to find a new room.

The location was perfect, staff were nice and room was clean

The balcony felt a bit deserted and unkept. Breakfast did not have a lot of variety. Too much pork bacon for people that do not eat pork bacon.

We loved the spa, food and all the staff were extremely nice and helpfull.

Room 101 was next to a noisy bar. We were told of this at checkin, but no other rooms were available.Options of fruit for breakfast were limited. I saw only plum and apricots. More should be made available (banana, apple, dried fruit etc)

Our first room was right above a restaurant with live music every day from 19:30 till 22:00 (and a bit longer). It felt as if we were sitting next to the loudspeakers - even though the windows were closed. The night guard was SUPER HELPFUL and gave us another room which wasn’t quiet but was much better.Hotel generally looked way better on the photos than in reality.Note too that it’s smack in the middle of the pedestrian zone of the town, where lots of people go out in the evening. If you want something quiet - this isn’t the place.The wellness feels rather dated. The sauna was out of order and so was the elevator - the latter was repaired after 3-4 days.The staff is overall very nice and helpful.

Wi Fi good in common areas but non existent in room despite being reported at the time

Wonderful pools and delicious food

The toilet was giving us some trouble but the staff were helpfull with it.
