Pros +
- The location which was close to the ruins of Paestum. We really enjoyed the beach club. The beach was very pretty and the service on the beach was very attentive.
- Staff was really accomodating
- Clean, beautiful breakfast terrace and near the beach.
Cons -
- When we first got to the hotel, it being a five star hotel, I was expecting some curbside service/assistance with bringing in the bags and telling us about parking and being a little bit more welcoming. This was not the case-no one came out until we already had The bags at the door. The welcoming was very blasé and underwhelming, not engaged.
- Tennis court and swimming pool was closedNothing available for kids, not even a tennis table
- We wanted to dine at the restaurant for dinner but were turned away with no alternative as it was full, there are no dining options in the nearby area. They suggested that we take the 120€ minimum menu at the Michelin restaurant. We had to ask reception staff to discover that room service was an option, the restaurant did not tell us. We ordered room service for dinner and it was very bad.Room did not have coffee/tea facilities. No laundry or ironing service. Gym is tiny. No booklet to explain the facilities of the hotel, they offered to email us a pdf.

Great place, food was amazing, local olive oil delicious, rooms good, location near sea also highest class.
The breakfast was exceptional. The lobby is beautiful.
The room layout and bedding wasn't the most comfortable for the level of the hotel.
The rooms are beautiful, the whole hotel is stunning, the styling, the restaurant and bar. Gorgeous breakfast view. THE SPA IN INCREDIBLE!
Pool area needs a refresh, we noticed mould in the pool and just looks very run down compared to the rest of the hotel. Not the nicest location, wouldn’t suggest going out at night unless driving a fair distance away. Not a great location if you don’t have a car to get around as not much to do within walking distance.
Clean rooms. Safe. Nice staff. Location to beach and Paestum.
The pool was dirty and there was no service at the pool which is not as advertised.
This Hotel is beautiful, I love everything about it, comfortable, Clean, organized, the staff supper attentive, be on my expectations.
That I could stay longer
Cleanliness and friendly staff
Communication with staff was poor - including English translation for the Savoy and listening to our requests. Service was extremely slow and unacceptable at bar and restaurant - more staff required. We had 3 rooms - Tea and coffee facilities should be included as standard and complimentary water in all rooms for each night stay. Lack of plug sockets near bed area for eg phone charging should be in all rooms. Lack of gluten free food options/ substitutes was poor. Beach club - should have food available throughout the day. We were denied food at 6pm and told to wait until 7:30pm when the restaurant opens.
Beautiful clean hotel
Language barrier with restaurant staff,Wait times for food,Shower drainage very poor
Great location in Cilento, beautiful beach, hotel is absolutely beautiful Great people at the reception
I think the pool area needs a bit of an upgrade but it didn’t spoil the experience.
Wonderful hotel, stuff, beach club, services! A great option for family and kids. Great buffet ar breakfar. They are producer of excelent olive oil, wine and mozzarella di bufalla. Tjank you!
The hotel was very beautifully decorated, surrounded by amazing gardens. The staff in the reception were extremely polite and helpful and the girls in the breakfast area very nice. The rooms were thoroughly cleaned and the spa provided everything we needed.
I didn't like the location, since it's in a long road full of campings and other hotels of poor aesthetic. The food in the hotel restaurant was mediocre and the breakfast, though tasty, lacked variety for a hotel of such standards. But the biggest faux pas was the fact that apart from the reception area and one girl at breakfast, no one else spoke English, something that I find unacceptable for a European five star hotel. Lastly, I found our family room to be quite small for a family of four, and very expensive for that size.
This hotel is more an event place or wedding venue than anything else. All days there was big events all day and night which made it difficult to relax and sleep. Not relaxing in any way. Pool was dirty and need cleaning. It was clear to see that main focus was wedding and events. Service was bad and quality of food was also bad. There was loud music from mid day to 2am in the morning. You couldn´t sit outside unless you like the loud music and noise from the big events. This is more a party hotel than anyting else.Very much overrated unless you are a part a event on the hotel. We would not recommend to go there.
Wonderful garden and pool area, beautiful terrace with view to the garden.Beautiful beach, and pool area next to the sea (about 8-10 minutes walk from the hotel).
Very noisy, as the hotel also has a large venue for weddings and other large celebrations. During our stay (5 nights) mostly every evening (4 evenings) there have been weddings or other celebrations on the territory. On the very first evening there was a weeding (about 200 people) which had live music and fireworks (at 01:30 night) and live music until about 02:30 morning. I contacted the reception and was only told that I need to have patience, I requested a reply or statement of the management as it was not possible to sleep that night because of the noise. Never got contacted or any contribution for that from the management of the hotel. Therefore also the low rates for this place. In my opinion they should decide whether to be a hotel for spa and relax/ resort or a venue for large celebrations.
The Savoy is a fantastic hotel very near the beach (and with its own beach club). It's a five-star place with reasonable rates, an attentive staff, gorgeous grounds, and a comfortable room. It's a great place to spend a few days in a beautiful part of Italy, close to the Greek ruins at Paestum which are worth visiting.
Nothing, really. It was pretty much perfect for our two-day stay. The staff could not have been more helpful and accommodating.
The spa, the restaurants and the breakfast.
The lack of a coffee/tea station in the room (e.g., a kettle with some tea)
Easy to park. Bed was a good size, but that’s why we booked it.
Trying to be fancy but just overdone. Very expensive for the quality. Nothing really wrong, just not exceptional in any way except the size of the public spaces. Some staff were okay but not really helpful, especially in the bar and at breakfast.
We liked the atmosphere, the colonial style, the space. Breakfast was very nice and food high quality (not the variety expected from a 5 star though). Staff was super friendly and helpful. There were 2 weddings during our stay, we didn’t hear a thing !
The rooms may do with a bit of an upgrade… The TV was small, the temperature too high and there was no easy way to cool it down throughout the night… Guests of the hotel are charged £75 if they want access to the SPA
The grounds
Some of the staff not enough knowledge and some rude, night manager very pleasant
