- The breakfast exceeded my expectations! Each day the options were: cakes, breads, croissants, toast, eggs, cooked ham, meat and cheese slices, juices, coffee beverages, yogurt, and cereal - a perfect mix of traditional European and American breakfasts. The staff were exceptionally friendly. The beach was just a 5 minute walk from the front door of the hotel. I enjoyed the beach chairs and umbrellas provided with the stay. The private beach also had a small cafe with pizza and other dishes. The room was very spacious and comfortable. I loved the balcony with the small bistro set.
- Exceptionally clean. Staff went over and above. We missed dinner one night but they left us a lovely cold plate for when we came back.Nothing was too much trouble
- Price, location , front desk personnel.
Cons -
- My only complaints would be the fact that the doors slam in the hallways and the noise from the neighbors, hallway, and lobby could be heard late at night. I would recommend taking a taxi (rather than lugging your suitcase from the bus station like I did) to get to the property!
- Restaurant breakfast supervisor was obnoxious.Room walls are not soundproof and normal conversation is audible next door.
- The coffee at breakfast was not up to the standards of eveything else at the hotel.Breakfast was plentiful and there were some amazing pastries every day. It would have been good though to have some healthier fresh fruit options. The location is a short walk away from a bus stop at the crossroads in Laura. It was very difficult to get information about the buses. I did ask at the hotel and was told it is not high season and best to use taxis. However, there is a bus timetable back and to Salerno and Agropoli but it is not frequent- there are other bus routes operating but after a week I did not work out their times properly. The hotel could provide perhaps more information for those travellers who want to explore the surrounding area as I wanted to visit surrounding towns such as Cappaccio Capoluogo, Agropoli and Santa Maria Castellabate and Salerno as well as visiting Paestum. These are all beautiful places with lots of cultural and historic sites. It would be really helpful to have a folder with information the tourist can access to help them get around. I did spend unnecessary time waiting for buses. Locally, there is only a tourist information point in Paestum.

The hotel, pool and lido are super clean always. The food in the evening was outstanding - wonderful use of local cuisine often with modern twists. Wonderful array of vegetables and salads at the evening buffet. The wine I had recommended by the resturant was superb. The water provided at meal times was a lovely bonus. The lido has a lovely position and is especially beautiful in the evening as you can watch the sun set over the sea. Everyone working there was lovely , reception was happy to call places to make a reservation. We had to get the train early on leaving so missed breakfast so they arranged a breakfast box for us which was especially thoughtful. The food at the Lido was very good for a beach bar. My son loved the pizza, coffee at the beach bar was excellent as was the mozzarella. Le Palme is close to some lovely towns but only an hour from Naples by train. The train service to Salerno, Naples and into Cilento is excellent. As well as the historical sites in Paestum which are amazing and as big as Pompei almost there is also a Buffalo farm nearby that makes mozzarella and ricotta. This is very interesting and the buffalo based products such as ice-cream mozzarella and the ricotta cake are fantastic. Although my children are adults I did think what a lovely place Le Palme would have been when they were very young as they have a play area at the hotel and at their Lido - they would have loved it.

Location was rather quite after summer season (we were here end of September), so restful & out of hectic/touristic Amalfi route. Nice sandbeach with bar. Beach easily accessible by foot (100 meters) through the forest. Also bar inside of hotel was good.
For restaurants away from the beach you will need a car.
Good sized room. Clean room. Good quiet air conditioning. Nice balcony. Pool is excellent. Location to Beach. Hotel's own beach club/lido. Frequent and fast shuttle goes to and from the beach club/lido.. Spacious grounds. Nice planting around hotel. Staff booked our taxi on arrival.
Wi-Fi very poor. Had to go down to reception to access wifi signal. Evening entertainment by the pool.. Volume was far too high from 9-12 midnight from the evening entertainment speakers - every night, using same songs blaring out each night whatever the activity. Entertainment targeted to very young children until midnight.Lack of public transport nearby. 20m walk to get buses and trains to Salerno, Paestum, etc. Taxi from airport is 80 euros. On reflection will hire a car next time as terrain flat, roads not high up.Customer service/concierge - Veer you to book a taxi, whereas, with own research, and knowing where the buses stop (no bus stop signs), you can save on taxi fares, if you are prepared to walk 15m to/from the stop. Supermarket 15m away.
Location, cleanliness, staff
Wifi slow, food average
The staff is very professional, everywhere is very clean. The bed are very comfortable and the food is delicious.
The walk to the beach could do with a cemented path because you end up with dirty shoes through the Pineta.
Very clean room, looks like a very old hotel that had a renovation in the last 10 years but is very well preserved. Right next to the beach , it also has a very big swimming pool. The hotel is spotless clean!! Stuff is very friendly and kind! There is free parking and free access to the beach by foot.
Property clean and nice , high maintenance and great staff, thanks to Vincenzo and the rest on the team they being looking after us at the restaurant.
Just a bit far from the station you will definitely wed a taxi if you not driving
Beautiful hotel, pool and surroundings, immaculately clean throughout. Rooms very comfortable. Restaurant food was good quality. The staff are very friendly and helpful. A big thank you to Marisa and team. We will return again :)
Nothing, it’s all excellent
Lovely hotel with parking. Beach was a short walk through the trees. Had a lovely meal at a nearby restaurant.
Meals in restaurant very expensive.
The outdoor pool area is nice
The prices for the food were very expensive. We were charged 15€ for a bowl of soup. The price was not on the menu. Lesson learned to ask the price before ordering. The scrambled eggs in the morning buffet were inedible
The staff at Hotel le Palme was so wonderful. The were so accommodating and welcoming. The rooms were comfortable and the view was lovely.i would highly recommend Breakfast was full of savory and sweet options the lunch at the beach restaurant was great as well as the wine and sunset it was a 4 min walk through the forest. Everyone from the reception wait staff room service went above and beyond expectations. We booked this hotel from other reviews that remarked on the great staff. So glad we did
We did have the dinner at the restaurant one night. The main courses were fine but the buffet was a little underwhelming
private beach was great!
private party in bar below window until way after 11pm, unexpected on a Thursday night. No apology or warning from hotel, which was disappointing
Clean hotel, balcony view of the mountains and pool. The location was ideal for the beach and about a 15 min taxi to the Paestum archaeological site, bars and restaurants. The staff was VERY friendly and getting a taxi was easy! It is not a beach front hotel since there is a forest in between the main road and beach but the walkway to the beach is about a 7 minute walk and is really romantic at night.
The hotel restaurant closed early.
We've stayed here for 5 nights.Everything was clean, nice, staff was very friendly and helpful nothing bad about that...The restaurant at their beach is one of the nicest... their pizza, pasta, seafood everything is dreamy... and good prices...not one bad word about it .
I am giving only 8 out of 10 stars because of the restaurant and the pool . had nice food but because you don't have much of a choice we only ate there 2 times. You get a piece of paper with a "fix"menu and if you don't like that you only have maybe 15-20products in total on the menu ... if you want to experience italy for it's food you will have to go to their beach and eat.The pool is great but unfortunately you can only use it 7hours out of 24 every day ? 09:00-12:30 and then from 16:00-19:30... the other 17hours will be off limits...
Nice beach
Restaurant was not good. Main guests: Big travel groups
Breakfast was great, covid safe serving. Quiet room. Because of flight delay I checked in at about 11:45 p.m. I was very tired and hungry. The man at the bar prepared for me a quick cold dinner. I was very grateful for it.
Nothing. I spent there only one night.
Service in the restaurant for breakfast and dinner was excellent and the food very tasty. The beach is generally very nice, very soft sand and nice to swim in. The location is calm and fairly close to Paestum and the national park.
The reception made us feel like we were a bit of a burden to talk to.Everything’s costs extra - beach towels, bikes (although they seem free on booking.com), Tennis, additional Beach lounger, drinks for dinner (sure, this was communicated but 5€ for a coke seems pretty hefty)The rooms are rather old fashioned and not in perfect condition (bathroom door difficult to open, A/C leaking at some point, the bathroom drain slightly clogged.
