Sunrise Hanoi Hotel

Location is good, it's not too far from center. Taxi to center costs less than 4 usd. Actually it's possible to walk to center if you have enough time. Great view to river. Big room with pictures on walls. High quality furniture. Big bathroom with bathtub! Helpful staff. WiFi works good, high speed, high signal strength. There is a big TV in room, but I didn't try it, I have no idea about available channels.

Huge bed made of two smaller, there is a hole between mattresses. First day we lived in other room with smaller bed and it was with one solid mattress, that was better. Only one keycard for two people, I asked receptionist about second card, but they refused to give me one more. Elevator goes up only with keycard and light in room also works only with keycard. So if my wife wants to go to shop, but I want to stay in room there is just 2 options: I stay in room in darkness without electricity or to meet wife at 1st or 2nd floor to open elevator. Hotel prefer cash, if you are going to pay with card hotel charge extra 4%

Our stay was only a few hours, 2pm is check in time and we arrive very early i just paid extra for early check in. Locatio n is not at the downtown but taking grab is easy and kinda cheap. The room is good spacious but nothing is special. Going back- yes?

The hotel room was covered with black mold the ceiling bathroom and windo blinds and smell very strong inside the room and the hole way also in the elevator, far from everything. I'm surprised how they get good reviews this hotel should be shut down by health department.i don't recommend it at all.

A bit far away from the center. King bed is actually 2 small bed put together so the gap is a bit annoying.

The price, that was it. We needed a place to store our suitcases and take a shower before our flight and the pictures looked good so we booked a room.

The hotel didn’t look like in the pictures. It was dirty, outdated with lot of issues patched up. It was very bad even for emerging economies like Vietnam. Shower was flooding the bathroom and we were charged 10k for an imaginary bottle of water we didn’t drink.

Honestly nothing. Reception people were nice but the hotel needs a serious clean and make over. Maintenance does not seem to be their priority!

The ‘VIP room’ had the river views but poorly maintained. Everything was horrible. Room smelled damp and mouldy. Stains on peeling wall paper, mouldy bathroom, floors lifting from moisture issues. Bedbug stains on their decorative pillows and the furniture feels like it has not been cleaned in decades. Gave me the ick!! They made no attempt to hide anything whatsoever!! I sucked it up because it was only a night and I had a flight out the next day and was hardly in the hotel. It is absolutely nothing like the photos - I suspect they were never updated to reflect the current depressing state it is in. Worst hotel I’ve stayed in ever, and that is not an overstatement or exaggeration!! I would avoid like the plague.

Very spacious room and very clean with helpful staff

Not great

Woken up with extremely loud noise from the shop across the road. Mould on the walls in the room and also on the bathroom wall. Hot water was temperamental kept going cold. Sink also got stuck shut and couldn’t drain the water out of the sink.Had a TV but did not connect to the WiFi or personal hotspot so couldn’t actually use the TV The show cushions had marks on them looked a bit like damp?

Cheap hotel, view to the river

The hotel is very far away from the city center so we always had to take a taxi to see the sights. The bed sheets had blood stains on it and the hotel in general looks very old.Also the breakfast is a shame. We paid 4$ pax. and the food looked as if it was a few days old (no fresh bread, brown and mushy bananas,...). We've never had such a bad hotel in our whole time travelling Vietnam.Better invest a little bit in a hotel close by the center and save the money for all the taxi rides!

Comfy beds

Location.. to far away from centre of Hanoi Room needs redecorating .. dirty walls and peeling wallpaper Safety box not working Hot water goes off pretty quickly if having a shower Cash only .

Facilities were really nice, the room was large and big while the beds were relatively comfortable, while only staying for one night I enjoyed the room. flat tv, the ac was fine, most facilities were in good condition.

The only bad things I can say is the location, being relatively far away from airport and the city center, but close enough to the train stationAnother bad thing is that the wi fi sometimes was lagging(to be straight and honest that bothered me the least! )Sometimes the water ran cold while we showered which was a bit of a bummer.

Pleasant

The door to the room was broken. The fridge was non-functioning. There was a large red wine spill on the carpet. The room was advertised with a garden view and the view was an unpainted brick wall. I had already paid so they would not move me to another room. Very disappointing for my last day in Hanoi, because otherwise I loved Vietnam. It's all on the owners of this property.

Clean, nice staff, beautiful view from room

The room had balcony and it was airy.

The washrooms didn't have ventilation. It smelled so bad. The room wasn't cleaned upon request as well.

Loved the service. They are ready to fix anything. The room i got provided had a nice view of river on two sides. But still the city is covered by fog. Can't appreciate much. Everything was cleaned well everyday.

The plug points are not in correct places. I have to remove tv and hair dryer wires to charge my stuff. There is none near bed. The telephone was not even connected, just for show. Location is kinda outer . Have to use grab to see the important locations of city. The booking.com bus tourplans don't have this hotel in the way. So have to travel 10 minutes to the pickup point.

The room and bathroom were clean, and it’s spacious. They were able to replace the ref as it was not working.

Refrigerator was not working

The location of the hotel is nicely tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the old quarter. The room was clean and spacious.

The wallpaper seems to be peeling off, but in a third world country, it’s a minor detail.
