    Pros +

    • The price and location
    • Thomas, Ivy and Leah were amazing. The customer service is top notch
    • My wife and I had a wonderful stay at this hotel, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. From the very beginning, six months before our trip even started, Thomas (Quan) Dinh went above and beyond to help us plan everything we needed. He assisted us with tailoring our Day trip to Ninh Binh, helped with arrival arrangements (taxi and late-night food delivery), and shared incredibly helpful tips that made our stay smooth and stress-free.Throughout our stay, the service was outstanding. Thomas and his team’s care and attention made a real difference. Even after our stay, his team kindly helped us by keeping our luggage for a few hours while we went out for lunch before heading to the airport, which we really appreciated. We are deeply grateful for all the support we received before, during, and after our stay. Overall, the hotel, the staff, and the service were exceptional. We had an amazing time in Hanoi and would highly recommend Thomas and his team (including Ivy & Lisa) to anyone planning to spend a few days there.

    Cons -

    • The room itself felt a little worn down. Paint on the wall was chipped off in some areas around the bathroom. The lighting for doing makeup wasn't great?whether at the bathroom sink or at the vanity table. Small shelf inside the shower stall was unstable.
    • The isolation of the door is zero, you can hear and wake up for someone passing the corridor. People were often shouting outside or in other rooms so was waking up often for the noise.
    • The weather was very hot and humid at the time of our trip. There was not enough time to see the whole area.It was hard to get used to the number of motorbikes on the road and crossing.Though these are not the hotels fault .

Mr Quan Dinh was very kind and helpful when we needed to communicate in Vietnamese with a tour company and about other things. He called the company and helped us make the arrangements for the tour pickup from the hotel. He is knowledgeable and gave good suggestions of restaurants and attractions around the area.Mr . Dinh, Leah and the other staff were very professional at check in and check out . People like Mr Dinh help out visitors like us to make wonderful memories of our first time trip in VietNam. It was a pleasure to have met someone really nice like him.The facility was clean and comfortable.Keep up the good work.

I like that the place is quite clean and peaceful. Staffs are very friendly and polite. Room is cleaned and maintained on a daily basis which is a big plus for our stay to be more comfortable.

It would have been better if they have the bidet in the washroom.

We only stayed one night but the facilities were nice, the staff amazing, and the location near many restaurants. Would probably stay again.

    The location is perfect

Very small rooms, when we entered the breakfast room it was a bad smell, also we wanted to have a snack in the afternoon and it was closed at the last floor.

I had an outstanding experience at Grand Cititel Hotel. Alex provided incredibly helpful travel information, ensuring I had all the details needed to make my journey smooth and stress-free. His knowledge and guidance were invaluable.Helena and Ivy delivered wonderful service, offering delicious tea, assisting with photocopying, and carefully managing luggage storage. Their attentiveness and warm hospitality made the entire experience even more enjoyable.A big thank you to Alex, Helena, and Ivy for their professionalism and kindness. I highly recommend them for anyone in need of reliable travel support and excellent service!

Staff is helpful and go extra miles to assist in making the arrangements for the things we are not familiar. The tour desk is great - easy to to deal with and great recommendation.

The room design - lack of the window and lack of privacy between the bedroom and bathroom. Aircon thermostat system is either too warm or too cold during the nite.

Location was good though the entrance to the hotel is bit hidden. Terrace Bar area was good and refreshing. Reception staff was very helpful, polite and forthcoming.

At the bathroom the mirror was on the side which was bit weird as I had to turn around to shave. On arrival be ready to fetch your luggage from the main road uptown the entrance which is about 50 m or so away. Hardly any vegetarian choice at the breakfast except fruit, breads, yogurt and corn-rice.

The staff are super helpful and welcoming Nice location and the breakfast is also great. We had a very comfortable stay!

    8PralaleePosted on: 4-4-2025

The room looks great and clean, and the staff were nice. However, I noticed some ants near the sink and desk. Also, the hotel entrance requires a short walk from the main road through an old, small alley, but it’s not too deep.

Good breakfast , excellent location, courtesy of the staff

The room small, no wardrobe available, a bit noisy

    9DinhPosted on: 3-29-2025

Breakfast is very good. The staff is friendly and helpfull. The room is nice and big enough. The price is OK

Grand Cititel is in Hanoi's Old Quarter. Its location is perfect, just a short walk from the lively Old Quarter while still being quiet enough for a peaceful stay, plus it's near a bus station for trips to Ninh Binh or Sa Pa.The hotel is very clean. The breakfast buffet offers both continental dishes and local treats. What really stands out is the friendly and helpful staff, the reliable front desk team, everyone makes you feel welcome. Special thanks go to Alex, who helped me find good local restaurants, give directions to museums, and where to see the train and Long Bien bridge, really save time searching.
