Hanoi Lakeside Premium Hotel

Location good

We were in what felt like an attic with a covered fire exit behind our bed.

I had a very bad experience with Hanoi Lake Side Hotel. The staff showed poor professionalism and a complete lack of basic hospitality. Despite having a confirmed reservation, my booking was cancelled upon my arrival. The receptionist was unable to give any clear explanation and kept saying “I don’t know” and “maybe my manager.” I was then told that the manager had already left and that I should “come back tomorrow,” even though my reservation was supposed to start that same day.This left me stranded and caused serious inconvenience and stress. I had to scramble to find another place at the last minute and eventually open a case with customer support to deal with the situation.The way this was handled shows very poor management and no respect for guests. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for reliable service or basic hospitality

Wide beds. The best location.

They transferred us in a different hotel on our first day due to broken “electrical something” in the room supposedly assigned to us. But they upgraded us in a better room on our succeeding stay, so just fine.

Excellent location and friendly staff.

The window in the room was facing the hallway of the hotel, not the outside. It was impossible to ventilate the room and there was no natural light coming in. Noisy in the mornings.

More to my own liking, but not having been to Ha Noi before, it was too close to the center of things and a very touristed and noisy area. Not the fault of the hotel, but I look for something different next time.

The place is a short distance from Hoan Kiem - very near sightseeing, shopping and eateries. There's also a convenience store just across the street for snacks and bottled water. The room is clean and spacious for 3 people with big luggages. Staff is friendly, accommodating and give the best shopping and transportation tips. ?

Good location, near everything, restaurant, lakeside for walking/running.

The noise from the other rooms nearby and the noise from the neighbor's dog (barked all night).

Good staff, very friendly. The room was as it was posted online. Decent and comfortable. Location is the best part, centrally located to food shops and cheap shopping. Its in the heart of the Old Quarter.

The location is key. Very much in walking distance to Hoan Kiem Lake, the night market, and the bus stops to go on popular tours. The bathroom was also nice - I prefer some separation between the shower and toilet.

The family suite was incredibly crammed, but we dealt with it. It seemed like the third bed was a rollaway bed added to a room with 2 beds. Space was so limited we couldn’t fully open the fridge and we had to scoot ourselves pass the beds, but it wasn’t too big of a deal since our stay was short and the beds were comfortable enough. Had I known the space arrangements, I probably would’ve booked 2 rooms for my family of 4 adults. Also, their system was hacked and my information was shared with a third party who reached out to me directly and impersonated hotel staff. They asked to confirm my credit card for my stay (they had my name, contact info, and dates of stay). This happened at the same time I was trying to pay for a Ha Long bay tour that the hotel helped arrange (which the tour itself was a good experience and the guide was funny). The staff was also helpful but nonchalant about the information breach - Bryan checked in every once in a while.

Great location in the Old Quarter. Comfortable bed and hot shower. Friendly, helpful staff. I was especially impressed with Mr. Bryan. He took care of all my tour and transportation needs. I would definitely come back here.

Great convenient location (right by the lake and also on a big enough street that was easy for taxis and tour buses to access). Lovely and helpful staff. Rooms were a bit tired but had everything we needed. Bryan was especially great at helping us with our tour excursions. We booked a 2D1N Halong Bay cruise (La Pandora) and also a Ninh Binh Day trip that were both excellent. Probably the best guides and arrangements we had on our whole month long trip around SEA. Bryan was great at answering our questions and making sure our needs were accommodated (I wanted to hike, but my friend wasn’t sure whether she’d be able to; there were lots of options even within the trip itself). Overall, would highly recommend Hanoi Lakeside, Bryan and the team!

We just finished a wonderful stay at the Hanoi Lakeside Premium Hotel. The staff is wonderful, especially Mr. Bryan. He was so helpful with arranging excursions and suggesting places to visit. He arranged a wonderful day trip to Ha Long Bay. It was so convenient. I paid a deposit in advance and the rest upon arrival. It was a fantastic excursion with a knowledgeable guide and terrific lunch. Be prepared for a long day and beautiful scenery. You won't be disappointed. The hotel is spotlessly clean and comfortable. Rooms are on the smaller side by American standards, but to be expected in this part of the world. The beds were very comfortable. I would not hesitate to return.

Room and outside the room were dirty. Pictures and reality did not match. Everything was photoshopped.

Location was perfection, the staff was top notch, and the room was spacious enough for two people. Mr. Bryan and his team go above and beyond - they are the highlight of this hotel!

There could have been a shade covering the window, but when you travel a lot, you get creative. Not a major issue by any means.

Central location, very convenient and friendly staff, got a free room upgrade too!
