Hanoi Ecogreen Hostel

Lisa was great with good English. She was very helpful and kind. I think she could be a good resource to any guests who have questions about what to do in Hanoi in the short and long term. The other staff was friendly too, but very limited English.

My only real complaint is that the wifi was connected to the switch for the main light in the room. It was a hassle to disconnect and reconnect the light depending on whether or not I wanted wifi and the light or just wifi.

great location. in the heart of town but located on a quieter street. reception girls were awesome. .

its quite a trek to walk ul to my room. the internet struggled a bit while i was there.

It’s not a fancy hotel, but is inexpensive, in a great location, and has wonderful staff!

The property is near to restaurants and other nearby landmarks. The price is reasonable and the staffs are nice.

The restroom can be cleaner.

The hostel is clean and peaceful, and it’s located in a good location. This was value for money.The staff was helpful and I was able to exchange money at the reception.

Location is great and super central to that area of Hanoi. I liked being super close to Old Quarter where most back packing tourists hang around.

The place is just very run down but it does reflect the really affordable price. For one night, after arriving quite late, I thought this was okay.

There was a good bahn mi down the street

Concierge tried to rip us off when we upgraded room, tried to charge us full price even though we agreed on the booking.com price. bathrooms are very average and the whole place has a feeling about it that it’s going to fall apart, also the staff in the lobby were talking till late at night and my brother couldn’t get to sleep because of it.There were also no blankets and we asked if we could have one, but the language barrier was too much even with google translate

They list that there is a “bathtub” in the bathroom, but there is not. The room was so small that we asked to move to a different room, and initially they tried to charge us more than what was listed on booking.com for the upgraded room. Even in the bigger room there was no natural light.

Second stay at ecogreen. Hostel. Manager is great! Seamless organisation and very caring. Recommend for 1-3 night stay to look around Hanoi. Bubbly manager will help you with any buses, grab rides, Sims etc. All for an honest price and with a smile on her face.

The main host host female was great. She really helped me organize everything I needed.

Male staff member had a poor attitude. Not sure if language barrier or just from doing overnight management.

They made us pay the water we thought was free. A little expensive, the shower didn’t have much hot water and it was a bit dirty.

Awful.

It was disgusting and filthy. The sheets were covered in stains, one of which looked like blood. There were hairs all over the bed.

I got the upper bed. Paid about 30 Singapore dollars for 7 nights

No towels, toilet wasn't so clean.

The position. The price.This is not really relevant for the hostel itself, I know, but I've met a special person here.

The beds are really basic, with no security for guests' stuff. The rooms are quite old and bleak, not to mention the toilets. Anything can be acceptable for the right price, but the lack of hygiene is a no-go for me.

Location is good but I didn't stay in the hostel I booked, they moved me to another one because the aircon wasn't working. This jade hostel was nice, staff is so kind but beds are so hard, wifi is good.
