Hanoi Posh Boutique Hotel

Beyond the comfortable well insulated rooms that have a colonial fusion charm, it is the people that make this hotel experience exceptional. Thomas is a maestro in arranging incredibly good value tours and he an his charming wife make everything easy. The location of this hotel, with its views of the old water tower and a bustling intersection of Hanoi life, is perfect.

Only that I had to leave.

Everything about this gem of a hotel is perfect. The charm of the colonial architecture, optimal location and outstanding staff all combine for a welcoming and comfortable experience The travel office in the hotel also offers good value deals.

This was in a very convenient location for exploring the Old Quarter. It was just a couple of minutes walk to the night market, the other tourist places I wanted to visit, and anything you could need. Everyone I encountered working at the hotel was friendly and helpful - from a great restaurant recommendation my first night to helping me sort my transportation on the last day. One thing to note: your credit card will not be charged and you need to settle your bill in local currency before checking out. I had to go to the atm as I didn’t have that much VND, but it worked out just fine.

The hotel was homey as the staff always welcomed us when we got back from going around. Overall made our whole stay comfortable.

The lighting in the room was a bit dim, there was some buzzing in some so we didn’t use those. Natural light was limited with the bedroom we booked.

The location is perfect. The bed is comfortable and staff are helpful. We stayed here for 4 nights in a balcony room. You can hear the traffic outside- we loved this. It is what you come to Hanoi for- the chaos! But you are comfortable in your room and away from the street- perfect.

Excellent staff and service. Phenomenal location near the market, and just on the edge of old quarter. Close enough to walk all the way down to hoan kiem lake and train street easily, but somewhat away from the chaos and tourist crowds of the old quarter. Phenomenal local street food right around the corner and shops to suit basic convenience. Could tell serious hard work had been put into the basic decoration from the ownership. Owner found out we were visiting on honeymoon and even prepared the room with romantic decorations and a bottle of wine waiting for us on arrival.

Nothing really. Would have enjoyed a larger balcony where guests could sit and take in the sights of Hanoi street life.

Our stay at this hotel was exceptional. The property is brand new, modern, and extremely clean. The location is unbeatable — right in the Old Quarter, just a short walk from all major attractions, yet still quiet enough for a comfortable rest.The rooms are surprisingly spacious for Hanoi, the beds are very comfortable, and everything inside is new and well-designed. The owner is fantastic — friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist. Every recommendation he gave us (restaurants, tours, things to see) turned out to be excellent.A truly top-notch experience and a hotel we would happily return to. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a quality and comfortable stay in the Old Quarter.

Clean room, great location right in the old quarter. The guy at the front desk was chatty and helpful. He gave us a great restaurant recommendation.

The one thing we didn't like about the room was that there was no window to the outside. The window looked out onto a hallway. It felt quite claustrophobic. That said, the room was quite affordable and we didn't spend much time there as we were out exploring Hanoi.

Thomas was so helpful for our first days in Hanoi! We enjoyed the location, laundry service, and airport pick up.

Our bathroom shower would clog. It would be nice to have some shelving in the shower to place shower gel and shampoo so it wouldn’t be on the ground.

I had a great time staying in the hotel. Everything was perfectly clean, the bed is big and comfortable and l even got upgraded to a room with a balcony, the location is great, very close to everything, just on the beginning of the night market if you stay during the weekend.I arrived late at night for check in and lovely Moon welcomed me with a smile and showed me to my room, she was very kind to me during my stay, everyday we had a little chat and she gave me recommendations for dishes I should try around (delicious!). I received help with everything I needed, they booked my transfer to the next destination and made sure everything is fine. It was a really good hospitality, I ended up adding as extra night to my reservation because I felt so comfortable there. Highly recommended.

The water didn’t work when we arrived but they fixed it quickly

The rooms are super clean. It was recently renovated. The staff are the nicest in Vietnam. I switched five hotels until I got to this one. This is the best hotel in the Old you quarter. Thomas, the owner is very kind. Provide the best service that you can ever imagine.

Amazing hotel nice room with a good location.The street outside is really busy but in the room it was quiet without any nose from the street100% recommend if you’re coming to Hanoi

Very basic room but clean . Owner was very nice (Iam) and helped us organize rides to the airport and let us store luggage when we were off doing other side trips

It is a comfortable, well situated property handy to everything. Great value for money. However,the highlight for me was the reception staff, Mai and Linh, who did everything they could to help and make my stay pleasant. Nothing was a problem for them and Linh even sorted a communication problem with a tour company for me late one night.

Lâm was very attentive and helped us get a taxi to the airport. Gave us a bottle of water and smiles and sorted us a good room

No restaurant. We were delighted with the staff. Very kind - they upgraded our room & we were so pleased we stayed an extra 3 days & will return from our visit to SaPa for 2 more nights before moving onto Denang. The location was absolutely Perfect. We were able to walk everywhere in the old quarter - no need for cabs. But when we wanted to use a cab the staff would call trusted operators for us. All front people spoke excellent English. And very best of all was the Travel Agent who book our entire package for SaPa, our flight to DeNang, our day trip to DeLong, & even our return trip from DeNang to Bangkok!!! Before returning to Canada.

Cannot think of anything that wasn’t perfect.
