- Great location. Next to the center but not nearly as chaotic. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They seem genuinely interested in how your day was and helping you to enjoy your trip. The rooms are clean and the air conditioning works well!
- The staff were very nice and accommodating when we arrived at 1am. They stored our bags for us and the location is beyond perfect for walking around Hanoi. We would definitely stay here again! Unlimited coffee for breakfast too!
- Nice and cozy place at the heart of Hanoi. Few steps from the place and you'll see the Hoan Kiem lake.Nice staffs as well.
Cons -
- There was construction but good thing we didn't stay the next night (they worked 24/7) as we had take the overnight bus to Sapa.
- The one thing I had an issue with was the bathroom. While it was a nice setup, the bathroom NEEDS TO BE SCRUBBED CLEAN WITH BLEACH. It is growing black mold. I realize this is an issue in a lot of places in Vietnam, but it's terrible for people's health to be breathing that in. This is the only reason I would not stay here again because everything else was very pleasant.
- Had difficulty getting hot water for shower and wifi was spotty, although that might be related to thousands of people attending the new years fireworks.

Service and welcome by Jenny was remarkable. She was ready to answer all our questions, very friendly too.

The location of Little Hanoi Hotel is excellent. You are just steps from the Hoan Kiem Lake in the Old Quarter. Everything is an easy walk, and yet this hotel is quiet/peaceful. The room included breakfast, but I am not a breakfast person so I didn't have any and can't give an honest review. All of the staff was super friendly and kind, especially Phuong (Jenny) was fantastic! She was extra friendly and helpful, and I enjoyed chatting with her. She gives good recommendations.

Very friendly staff, great location and good value.

Firstly, the hotel is so, so, so clean. The staff care about cleanliness so much. The location is excellent. You can get to anywhere in Old Quarter from there very easily. It is right across from the lake and when there are special events at the lake, you have a front row seat. It is an easy place either to go and eat out or to have food brought. There are many options nearby. They can help you organize a transportation to other places and tours too. They are super responsive when you send messages on Booking. Next time, we will definitely be coming here with our family. I truly wish all the best for a Little Hanoi Hotel.
Clean and just within city proper
None really but I hope the elevator would be a bit bigger
The location is very convenient. It is right across the Hoan Kiem Lake and almost everywhere is walking distance. Unlike the inner part of the French Quarter where most businesses are located, it is calm and quiet (aside from the round the clock construction happening in the adjacent building which is typical n Hanoi). It has a functioning elevator which is very helpful for when you have suitcases. The free breakfast was also good. Jenny is by far the biggest asset of the hotel. She goes over and above to help and accommodate guests. I’ve been to Hanoi 3x now and this would be the first I actually wrote a review because you get what you paid for and so much more.
We stayed on the 5th floor and water pressure can be weak at times but bearable.
Its close to the lake, still close to the Old QuarterFew min walj. Cleaner even its only 2 star. We only stayed because as a first time in Vietnam I was unsure of how to get into the property you have to walk in a small isle but only has motorcyle parked. Not much people in the streets as compared to the 4star hotel we moved too after 2 days. Comparing the 4 star hotel to Little Hanoi, next time I will rebook with Little Hanoi.
They have a construction next door and they are working late so it was noisy. But not the hotels fault.
The location was just perfect! A few steps and you will be in Hoan Kiem Lake!. Breakfast is also very good and delicious.Room is also great!Staffs are very good Kudos to Jenny and her team!!! <3
Nothing! The allowed us to check in early and they are very considerate especially that time where theres is a construction that is currently undergoing nearby. The stay was perfect and memorable!A recommended place to stay in Hanoi!
Location, rooms, Jenny was wonderful.
The hotel was very close to my preferred area, Hoan Kiem Lake. The day receptionist, Jenny, was nice.
1) I was not able to use any of my credit cards because the hotel machine would not accept them, including one I had used at a previous hotel earlier that day.2) There was no coffee pot or tea maker in the room.3) Bathroom was too small; and the toilet was actually in the shower space. 4) Shower water was barely warm. 5) The one window in the room was right behind the huge headboard; and the view was the wall of the next building in the courtyard, instead of the lake or the city. 6) The bed was too hard.7) Most of all, I was not able to get to sleep until after 3 a.m. because there was super loud construction noise outside, on the ground level, just one floor below my window, until 2:30 a.m., as they were constantly shoveling rocks and gravel. I cannot say that it was the hotel's fault and therefore will not hold the noise against the hotel. However, I did discuss that noise with dayshift and was told it would stop by 5 p.m. Also, I complained several times to the nightshift desk guy who kept promising it would stop soon.
Little Hanoi Hotel is a perfect location near Old Quarter, just in front of the lake which is beautiful. We appreciated how the staff was super nice and welcoming. The check in was super easy, communication also... You can choose from a few different breakfasts and what was absolutely perfect even after check out we could leave our baggage in the hotel without a fee!! Amazing. The only thing that would discourage me from a very long stay at this place is that the room had no window. For someone that can be a benefit, especially if you need to sleep after a long flight or you don't want to be disturbed by the noise and lights from the streets...
No windows in the room.
Location can't be better AC in the room
No window in the room
Clean & comfortable room, good aircon, good central location, very nice breakfast. The stand out for us was the staff, what an amazing team! We were well looked after from the time we checked in to the time we checked out. Highly recommend staying at this property
This is a good place to stay in Hanoi. Location is great, there are only few steps to go to Hoan Kiem Lake. It’s also close enough to walk to Old Quarter from here. Room is clean and comfortable. Staffs are very supportive and kind. You can drop luaggage here before checking in.
Jenny was great on WhatsApp with communicating and being responsive, and addressing any concerns/questions. . She booked a private car and driver for us from Hanoi to Sapa, and the driver was great. The location was also very good, across from the lake, down a small alley. Everything was clean; I liked the wooden furniture, and, as small as the room was, I thought it made the best use of space possible. The breakfast lady was very friendly and made delicious food. Reasonable rate; good value.
Wet shower.; in other words, the shower was not separate, so everything got very wet, including the toilet paper, as the bathroom was very small. We needed more floor rugs and towels to mop up the water and wipe our feet dry. Breakfast room was very small, but then at least you got to know the other guests. Rooms are small, but this is probably to be expected in the Old Quarter. Fluorescent lighting is very harsh; there was one small lamp on one bedside stand but it didn't do much. The room seems cold and needs more ambience/color/decorations . The reception area could be nicer. A huge hotel is being built/renovated right in front of the, so construction noise is present all day long; this is not the fault of the hotel. Morning coffee could be hotter and more plentiful; no butter or jam for pasty, white bread.
They had impeccable communication! I had to arrive late and leave early and the nice man woke up to ensure I was fine ;) Jenny was fabulous as the day time reception and so kind and friendly! The location is great and it’s easy to find with signage above to direct you! It was clean and they even packed a breakfast for me to take with me at 5am so I wouldn’t miss out!
Friendly staff and helpful, easy communication as well, location is central.
