The best and nicest and friendliest hotel in Vietnam, ms Rosa was so friendly, professional and helpful to arrange all my trips in Vietnam, halong, sapa, train, flights tickets, mekong delta, cuchi tunnel, hotel new, nice, good location, good breakfast…No hotels can be better, expecially ms Rosa was perfect Manager to take care on details from what app, during your stay, your trips…until say goodbye 1 months in Vietnam..We love Rosa and Lake View hotel. Rosa told me Recently many bad people maybe their Competitives booked so many bookings, put Untrue reviews for hotel, Please don’t Believe These Fake Reviews. They were so bad to make it. The location was very close to the lake and the staff were friendly.

We had a room nearest to the lobby which was very loud. The bed was very hard and there was mould in the bathroom. Although there were amenities there was no kettle and only one plug point in the room. Maybe other rooms on higher floors would have been better, maybe request not to stay in 106…

We were first timers to Hanoi so of course anywhere would have been magical but having Rosa helping us was amazing. Thank you

Be bombarded at the start when we just arrived, We were tired and just wanted our rooms. Once we settled in we were happy to chat. We felt the schedule needed more details and arrival times and would change a few things as there were wasted days ie plane should have been in the morning and the three buses to Ninh Binh....wasted time and days as we only had 15 days...but very good thank you

The room looked nothing like the picture, it was quite small and old. Hardware needs to be upgraded, had difficult time with the wall plugs, mobile phone charger keeps fall out from the plug...

Fake reviews by their staff. Scam hotel !

This hotel accumulated almost 80 outstandingly good reviews within the month. Given that they don't have a lot of rooms, this is highly unlikely. If you read over the reviews a bit, you quickly find that a bunch of them seem fabricated, grammar mistakes by natives, content nobody would phrase that way. If you want a realistic rating, go to maps and check "Hanoi Capella" and "Ma Coer Boutique", they combined the two without renovations. Both have a rating of 3,8. I hope booking.com will take action about this potential fraud soon, in the meantime I'd recommend to stay away from this hotel - for 3 USD more there are plenty of more honest hotels around.

Our stay at the Hanoi Lake View Hotel and Spa didn’t go as we hoped for. First off, the ”Lake View” -hotel has no sign of a lake in sight.We stayed 2+2 nights. The first rooms shower wasn’t working properly and we had problems with aircon. The machine was leaking a lot of water onto a bed and the room was freezing because we couldn’t change the temperature correctly. The second room we got was better and clean.We booked 2 different tours from the hotel, the lady in the reception, Rosa sold and arranged them for us.We reserved a 2 day, 1 night tour to Ha Long bay. The lady showed us advertisement books of different cruises, we chose the 3-star one. The cruise boat was not the one showed in the booklet. It wasn’t nearly as clean and the room was different. The lady also told that our room would be on the 2nd floor of the boat, it wasnt. We tried to explain this to the staff but got no room on the 2nd floor and the staff were rude. We got two rooms on the 1st floor and they were right next to the kirchen where people started listening to loud music and yelling and cooking at 5:30 AM. Also the program was different, no sign of a BBQ-dinner for example.We also reserved a Ha Giang tour for 4 days. The trip to Ha Giang was great, but again, what we were sold differed from what we got. We payed extra for private rooms, but we were put into big rooms with a lot of other people. We were also sold a better sleeping bus with private cabins, but our way back was in the cheapest kind of a bus.Before we left to Ha Giang we left our big backpacks at the hotel. I asked three or four times that: ”are the bags going to be put in a locked room” I got the answer that the lobby will be just a ”temporary location”. When we came back from Ha Giang after 5 days, the backpacks were still in the hotel lobby, no sight of a locked room.The hotel was okay with some problems and all other staff were great, but beware of Rosa. Don’t believe the things she sells to you.

Loved the proximity of the hotel to everything in the old quarter. The hotel has recently changed hands, but the new management is very committed to making sure you enjoy your stay. Our shower drain was blocked and Ms. Rosa was extremely responsive when we messaged her on What’s App and asked maintenance to look at it while we were out. It was fixed when we returned. A bed broke during the night and they were very apologetic and comp’d us some waters. Some spots in the bathroom could have been cleaned better (door handle, faucets) but not too bad. Breakfast was decent, yummy coffee. We made the mistake of booking tours separately, but Ms Rosa informed us that we could have booked the exact same tours through the hotel and saved 20%. Something to keep in mind.

The staff members are really helpful and nice. They helped us with a lot of things of our trip. The woman (we think is the manager) is also very helpful and nice. The location is great! They can talk english properly which is a strong point.

I called the spa to have a massage and they told me I could go, but when I got there, I was told it was full and they insisted that I have a massage in my room. Worst mistake ever. First, I received the massage in my bed, instead of on a massage bed, meaning that I did not have a proper place for my head, which was really uncomfortable. To make it worst, the masseur stepped into my bed, putting her feet directly in the sheets where I was going to lay my head to sleep.The massage was not bad, but I had a hard time to relax with all that drama… and in the end, I was still naked and the masseur was already asking for a tip… which I intended to give, despite the whole situation, and it was a bit unpleasant that she was so impatient. About the room, I was given a no window bedroom, but there was actually a window towards the corridor that did not even had a blackout and a lot of light was coming in. After trying to sleep with no success, I called reception and someone came up. The solution was to turn off the corridor light… fortunately no one came in and turned the light back on. There was also lots of noise coming from pipes - you could hear other rooms flushing… So, not a great experience overall. I will not come back to this place

Location is alright to walk around the old quarter. Room doesnt see the lake view, even we having breakfast at Lvl 9m can't really see lake. Breakfast is doesn't good, rather to pay and spending at out from hotel.

No. The rooms are not like the pictures at all. There are two part of the building where the rooms are located. One is better than the other. The second one doesn’t seem like a 4 star hotel but is fine. The second one looks like a old hostel. Be careful with this.

It did not meet my expectations. The room was old and uncomfortable. The AC didn’t work well. It was also noisy. The room was very small and old fashioned. It didn’t match with the comfort of a 4* hotel. Same with the breakfast food. The crew doesn’t speak English

The lack of service quality and responsiveness of the staff. Contrary to the glowing reviews we read, unfortunately we encountered unwelcoming staff who just sat at the desk on their phones as we struggled up the steps in the rain with our luggage. We booked a Deluxe Double or Twin Room with Lake View but were given a room with a street view, upon enquiring we were told in no uncertain terms that the Lake View room has no view of the Lake. Our 'upgraded' room had a list of maintenance issues which we reported for their benefit. Do I think this was value for money? Compared to five other hotels in which we stayed, No it was not. We paid much less for so much more.
